Are you connecting this pump to the city's sewer drain ? I would get a bunch of these with 2" collapsible hose to pump water outside not connected to the house's drainage pipe, the over capacity of city's drainage network is usually the culprit for flooding into homes as the sump pump is totally useless as it has no where to pump the water.
Does it come with any hoses or do I need to buy hoses separately? Can a garden hose connect to it without buying more parts?
Sorry it does not come with any hoses. However it does come with the hose connector. I did attach an optional check valve, which it highly recommend if you are going to use it to pump out flood water. The check valve is to prevent water going back into the pump once it sent out through the hose. The check valve is around $7 on Amazon. All the parts I used for this setup are in the description.
