@@IdinSabahipour I do have one question. How much of my work experience should I include? As someone switching from an adjacent career I have plenty to draw from. I feel 5-6, but am worried 1000+ words is too much!
@@inigo2162 Hey Inigo! For a CV, I think one page should be the limit (but people disagree with me on this). For an application form, as many as you think are reasonable. If you think all six show your ability to do the job you're applying for, I'd definitely do it!
If we have non-law work experience is it worth linking our skills to the role of commercial lawyers explicitly or is that excessive and being 'too creative' ? Also should we quantify results from the work experiences?
I've found this very useful. You give the most helpful advice without all the 'legal youtube' extras. Thanks
Thank you so much, Inigo! That really means a lot 🙏

@@IdinSabahipour can you please suggest the ratio, which should preferably be maintained between law and non-law work experiences?
Thank you so much! I’d never thought how important it would be to structure this section properly .
You're welcome, Saloni.
Exactly. I think it's a really underutilised section of the app!
definitely a 10/10 owl amazing vid!
hahaha thank you!
I'm literally in the process of filling out the work experience section for a vac scheme and this was so helpful. Thank you!!!
YES - So glad to hear that, Amina.
Good luck with the application!
Thanks for that mate! I was actually filling out that section in bullet points as I did on my CV but it seems like that's not the way to go
No worries - glad it was helpful!
Very helpful - thank you
Glad it was useful :)
This was very useful, thank you! Love how you keep your videos so concise!
Is that an owl cuddly toy in the background? :0
I'm glad you found it useful, Hannah.
And yes, that is a cuddly toy. Not sure what animal it is though. Let's say it's an owl! 🦉
This was really helpful ! Thank you
Thank you so much, this was very helpful.
I'm glad it was useful, Gisela!
Great system!!! Thanks so much!
I'm glad you found it useful, Berivan!
Thank you for this video! It was very helpful! Could you make a video on essay writing and revision etc for law students?
Thanks, Simran.
I'll add it to the list.
Love the owl drawing 😂
Haha thanks! 🐦

Yes! Link to the job where possible.
And yes! Quantify results wherever you can (sometimes it's not really possible).
Very helpful!
Very useful and nice owl drawing! :)
Hahaha, thanks! I needed that confidence boost.
And I'm glad you found it useful.
Do you write the work experience section in bullet points like a CV or paragraphs?
Hey Amanda - I usually do it in paragraphs following this structure.
Super helpful!
Thanks, George! I'm glad you think so.
7/10 owl. Would’ve liked a wider range of colours
I'll send you a private drawing.
If the box has a limit of 250 is it advisable to use the whole 250?
Treat it as more of a "limit" than a "target", but I'd usually use at least 200 if the limit is 250 🎯
Thanks, Idin! ^(OvO)^
Thought the owl drawing was nice
Thanks, Dana! It took me like 20 tries, haha!
