Money is debt. When they "print" each new money comes with a demand to repay it and with interest. "Printing" in a debt based system is long term deflationary.
We always hear this, but it does not totally hold water. The purchasing power of the US dollar has declined far less than the much steeper rise in gold's price, since the year 1971.
Yes, my 1,000 sf bungalow in San Diego I purchased for $46,000 in 1983 didn’t rise to &500,000 it’s just the purchasing power of the dollar fell. I still can’t afford that bungalow today.

"Astronomical Rise," when used to describe a commodity or a stock, makes me nervous. Gold has increased to 57 TIMES its price in the year 1971, but overall consumer prices have increased approximately six times. If we see higher interest rates and/or a stronger dollar, look out for a golden swoon.
consumer prices are supposed to go down, with technology and outsourcing labor to poor countries, wouldnt you expect products to become cheaper? Can the dollar become strong when its printed at the rate that it is? Can interest rates rise when the fed funds rate has never made a higher high since Reagan?
Greatest transfer of wealth. I noticed. All the homelessness we're seeing in the major cities with skyrocketing real estate prices, rent rates, and overall cost of living with the excess printing of money to pump up the tech stock markets. Who are getting the most in our society? Tech people. I'm one of them. The Fed decided Tech is going to be the transmission mechanism to cause asset price inflation through segmented wealth distribution.
Like regulations before the 1920 market boom and bust, it's legal until it isn't. Or like today, it's only illegal after you've been caught and sentences have been swapped with fines.
Main resaon why Fed cant let gold go higher is that price over 2000 dollars basically mean dollar lost 100 percent of his purchasing power. Everything over 2000 dollars mean system is collapsing.
Crypto markets time passage is like dog years to traditional markets. They will need to catch up faster than crypto has to slow down because we are heading towards more digital economys, not less. Seeing what works and doesn't work in digital economy's in real time will be hard to pass up for systems that are navigated via a rear view mirror.

The chinese has had longer history of currency, the devaluation of currency where the coinage contains less and less silver has happened in our history in the past.
Before rulers/governments could print money they would "clip" your gold and silver coins (actually clip a piece of metal off your coin) as a tax or a way to devalue the currency. If you were caught with an "un-clipped" coin you were subject to what ever the penalty was.....imprisonment, death, whatever.
Gold is treading water at best. Gold and silver bugs are flocking to Bitcoin and other cryptos as the new gold. Without cryptos, however, I believe the narrative would be much different. Also factor in the massive gold discovery in Siberia, which has decreased the “scarcity appeal” for gold.
Hopefully with the advent of crypto, gold and Diamond prices can come down to reality. Gold Diamond etc can be used for tools and the actual usage of those materials instead of just jewelry and sitting in vaults.
@@timthepoolman3313 the cryptocurrencies will cannibalize each other once the "investors" start leaving legacy coins to chase higher gains in alt coins.

A strong dollar will be temporary, Gold appreciates over time compared to fiat currency.
We went from made in America to Made in China thus lowering the price of many consumer goods
The FED cannot allow interest rates to rise. The market will no longer set rates.
