He launched himself into a situation beyond his control, broke the law and realised too late he was out of his depth. I think one of the reasons there is distrust of the police in the UK is that they seem to have become 'agents of the state', often exercising their 'discretion' based on political and social whim of the day. They seem to be an embodiment of the government, which they are.

The detaining officer did AT LEAST 5 things wrong. When he unlawfully detains you, searches, seizures and rifling through your wallet is just so Disturbing. That Police Issued Memo, states “ the Public can film the Police in the course of their duties”.

Until officers are held accountable for their individual actions in so much as they pay for any compensation, this kind of behaviour will continue. They are only too aware that any monies will come out of the public purse and not their own wallets. It did seem like a throwback.. I never saw that section 43 detainment coming. How many police officers passed me by both in uniform and plain clothes and everyone realised that I was just lawfully filming. It does show how they all stick up for each other regardless if the officer is right or wrong

Little changes, if nothing much at all. Most of the press releases are just that, damage mitigation. There was the recent film on Wayne Couzens and some say, well couzens may of been tipped off, that was why he erased his phone before he ended up being taken to custody. I doubt it. He just just probably thought well, can't forget that. There was plenty of evidence long before, all the cctv.
I find it suspicious that a car is trying to get in through a no entry gate. That seems like potential terrorism and they should be stopped, searched and questioned.

If they refuse to tell you which section then you don't know your rights . . . for example they may be using a section that does or doesn't allow a search or does or doesn't require you to identify (etc etc) . . . so by them not stating the section you don't know where you stand, you don't know what you can and cannot refuse. You could easily find yourself in a situation where you are being searched or ID'd . . . only to then find out they are using a section that doesn't allow for either.

This is a 'Gang culture' when they are not obeying their own policies and guidelines, being complicit in an assault, wrongful detainment and making things up. And you were within your rights to physically defend yourself against this rouge officer before he identified or stated that you were being detained. If you need any case law on that then I have a video called "self defence against police"
Ski was pushing back physically against sarg, you notice Ski wasn't severely manhandled, sarg knew he'd screwed the pooch, and didn't compound it further with cuffs, arms up the back etc, Ski gave him literal pushback and it took sarg by surprise, he wasn't expecting that. That's when sarg knew he was stuffed.

Yep.. The searching officer just wanted to intimidate me and bully me by saying I am detained... Everything to him is suspicious and because he has a 'warrant card' will try to throw his weight around to any unsuspecting member of the public.

Until officers are held accountable for their individual actions in so much as they pay for any compensation, this kind of behaviour will continue. They are only too aware that any monies will come out of the public purse and not their own wallets.
It beggars belief that after all this time, that officers, knowing about auditing, education from above and the Chief Constable pledging to root out corruption, they can still act in this cavalier manner. It annoys the heck out of me while when asked to identify themselves they just dont say rank, number name and station in a polite way. Bet they dont dare dip their shoulder to a magistrate when in court. Put the paperwork in Yardley.

Absolutely ridiculous, they still haven’t learned despite the numerous memos. Hammersmith, Charing Cross and Romford seem to be the worst stations in London from my personal experience. They did not follow the GOWISELY principles again. And they enforced their paranoia. Great video Yardley for highlighting this tyrannical behaviour

It did seem like a throwback.. I never saw that section 43 detainment coming. How many police officers passed me by both in uniform and plain clothes and everyone realised that I was just lawfully filming. It does show how they all stick up for each other regardless if the officer is right or wrong

Little changes, if nothing much at all. Most of the press releases are just that, damage mitigation. There was the recent film on Wayne Couzens and some say, well couzens may of been tipped off, that was why he erased his phone before he ended up being taken to custody. I doubt it. He just just probably thought well, can't forget that. There was plenty of evidence long before, all the cctv.
Failure to identify, unlawful imprisonment, assault, harrassment, the usual abuse of 43 too. What a fool, should be a nice payout for this one.
I find it suspicious that a car is trying to get in through a no entry gate. That seems like potential terrorism and they should be stopped, searched and questioned.

Great response . I think they were making it All up as they went along.
If they refuse to tell you which section then you don't know your rights . . . for example they may be using a section that does or doesn't allow a search or does or doesn't require you to identify (etc etc) . . . so by them not stating the section you don't know where you stand, you don't know what you can and cannot refuse. You could easily find yourself in a situation where you are being searched or ID'd . . . only to then find out they are using a section that doesn't allow for either.

This is a 'Gang culture' when they are not obeying their own policies and guidelines, being complicit in an assault, wrongful detainment and making things up. As by judging by the comments, the public do not take kindly to officers breaking their own code of ethics and even law. They messed up badly. At @20:59 is the real reason you are being searched. The PIG is asking if you have anything with your details on while rummaging through your wallet.
And being an auditor rule 101 that answer would be No.. So it was a pointless fruitless search from the get go..

And you were within your rights to physically defend yourself against this rouge officer before he identified or stated that you were being detained. Ski was pushing back physically against sarg, you notice Ski wasn't severely manhandled, sarg knew he'd screwed the pooch, and didn't compound it further with cuffs, arms up the back etc, Ski gave him literal pushback and it took sarg by surprise, he wasn't expecting that. That's when sarg knew he was stuffed.
@@ianhill4585 The Sarge had already called for back up so I knew it would have been a madness if I had gone OTT, I also had my camera in my hand which I didn't want to drop.. But I knew I was going to stand up for myself as he had not identified himself and that is where he went wrong also..

Once again this really does emphasise the need for officer's to "identity themselves as soon as possible! Identifying yourself "after" someone has been detained is like closing what was originally an unlocked door after you have been robbed!!
