I just followed you because of your correct information and presentation. I agree with what you have said. X3 is the best action cam for Hiking or high altitude trekking. I've been using it for more than 3 months. It really provides a good quality captured image depends on how you use it. Great idea on putting a fibre cloth to cover case. Kudos!

As an ex-user of the Insta 360 X3, I found that it had such poor low light performance, even in scenes that weren’t that dark. Also feel that if you want to use it for stabilised vlogging footage, then you’re adding an extra longer step into your workflow because you then might need to key frame the angle of the camera, especially as you’ll need to convert your footage to 16:9 anyway. It also is known to corrupt your footage. It’s a really cool camera and you can get some seriously cool shots, but if I’m honest, besides it’s waterproof nature and 360 degree angle… I’d recommend getting an Osmo Pocket 3. It’s a superb camera for hiking. It’s stabilised, shoots 4K 60fps at 10-bit, has active track (so you can get similar shots to the X3), and my gosh it’s just incredible Don’t get an X3! Get an Osmo!
Nice. I got the Inst360 RS One. How is the X3 with overheating? The RS One, without mods will overheat after around 45 to 60 minutes of continued use. Cheers, -Harald
Honestly, I haven't used it for more than 10 minutes straight, so I can't give you any advice on this. But the battery time seems pretty good. I'd say well above an hour of filming. For me, it lasts a full day of filming a hiking vid without charging (because you aren't filming continuously).

Still think the product type is in its infancy, the quality will come. The 360 cameras are known to get hot when running at max resolution so it indicates that what it is doing is pushing the CPU/Storage somewhat. In time CPU/Storage will improve as well as advances in lenses and softeware. Until that point comes it is still doing something that very few cameras are doing and we have the choice to either accept these limitations to get the "shot" or don't use the camera and get better shots elsewhere. It is very frustrating the amount of paid Insta360 videos there are.

Holy Shit that thing costs a lot...
insta tripod is a garbage, its too light and nat wide enough. I bought heavy-duty one (and switched from x3 to x4)
It has 360 bad video quality. Don’t listen such a paid videos. Happy holidays 🎉
