    Well as a fellow french I can say that the Rassemblement National (Marine LePen’s party) doesn’t want to leave the EU or NATO anymore, also, they’re deeply republicans so they won’t abolish the 5th French Republic.
    I mean, I get it is not supposed to be realistic but that really broke my immersion :/

      @@zamoscproductions No actually for the EU part it been since 2019 (since 2019 they advocate for internal reforms rather than leaving it completely), and for NATO it’s been a couple years as well (actually they advocate for leaving the military command which France joined in 2009 but stay in the alliance).
      But honestly I don’t really blame you, some people in France itself are still stuck with the party’s image it had in the early 2000’s under Jean Marie Lepen (Marine’s father, who was a hardline eurosceptic and anti NATO) so for people completely external to french like foreigners I can see how these kind of confusions can happen.
      Also sorry if I sounded a bit rude ^^’
