In response to your comment: Not quite because that's like saying that Nelson from France earned his way to many final/semi final battles with very talented poppers such as Salah, Greenteck, Popping John, Kite, etc. and if you ever have seen him pop one is left wondering "How in the f*ck?".
On a more serious note: The first guy looks like his mom picked out his clothes for him at Sears (she probably wanted him to look exactly like the 9 year old model on the brochure for this battle) and took him to get a haircut with the 60 year old barber that's been cutting his hair since 3... mind you still using the booster seat.
And before you give me a negative feedback about what I just said, look at any and all video with Nelson and you will see all the comments. I think that Nelson is payed just to get people worked up in these competition and to keep it interesting.

This is the real essence of a dance battle, for something they are called a battle and not just competition, such as what is done in Asia where all the origin and essence of what a real dance battle is lost.
