Plus you have everything on video and the vet. You need to sue them for defamation, regardless of their age. This is sadly a shakedown situation.

My husband and I are getting older with some major medical issues plaguing us at this moment in time.
We've always loved our fur babies, cats. We also had a 55 gallon tropical fish tank, 2 cockitiels w/hanging cages, 2 domestic rats.
We decided after our last fur baby, Rags, went over the rainbow bridge that we couldn't keep carrying supplies up 28 steps, like litter and such, any longer. I couldn't handle water changes in my main tank. The cockitiels passed, one was egg bound and Peaches was just old.
We'd still LOVE to have fur babies again but, it wouldn't be fair, to them!
As we age we must become honest with ourselves that we cannot provide the care necessary for them and ourselves. So now? We take solice in our children's fur babies. All because we do love them, cats/dogs more than to subject them to not being cared for, properly. ❤
Thank you Lee for rescuing all of the mini-horses that you do have. ❤

I have come across many people who seem to love animals, but they are more concerned about "themselves" and what THEY want and feel, instead of their pets. For example, even when needing to put a pet down at the end of its life, they will allow the pet to suffer because they say things like, "My dog is all I have," or "I don't want to be alone," etc.
One reason why I love Lee Asher so much is because I can see his beautiful, selfless heart.
And God bless YOU "greatly" for putting your animals' needs before your own! 🙂

Secondly, I took care of both of my parents until they passed away. My wonderful, amazing dad had alzheimers. He would have bouts of anger and extraordinarily unreasonable demands and behaviors. I am seriously wondering if this woman may be suffering from some form of dementia.

Sadly, it’s possible that 1 or both of the couple have memory loss, maybe even dementia or Alzheimer’s. I live in a senior housing complex & I watch people lose their memories; it’s very sad! But we all know you Lee, & your fine character/good intentions! We stand by you, trust you. Hang in there; get a lawyer (preferably pro bono) if needed. Be careful what you say without the lawyer by your side. You’re smart, capable and GOOD!! Be strong!!! Keep us all posted, please!!!

I feel like they think they can make some money selling these sweet minis now. They neglected them. You invested the work and care. As a lifelong horse woman who, at age 68, has rescued thoroughbreds.....I don't believe for a second they want them back out of love. I think they want the money they can make selling them. Their vet can attest to their lack of care......they are backyard breeders not caring about anything but the al.ighty dollar. Thank you for what you do......

Lee, your doin the right thing. I work everyday with elderly dementia residents and you are being faced w that. They are very unpredictable. The best advice I can give you is to use an Out of sight Out of mind victory for those horses.
That couples family and friends need to get everything on their property that would remind them about the horses
    OUT OF SIGHT
It's truly the best thing for them, the horses, and YOU.
They need to Divert their attention.
YOU AND ALL YOUR CREW ARE are rocking it.
