definately mathematics is a optional with huge syllabus.caoching faculty member somehow cover it within certain time frame,but that not mean it's not a lengthy sub.you have to practice a lot with very good understanding .If you cannot handle mathematics , then it will be fatal for you .If you handle it it will be ur advantage.per day minimum 5 to 6 hrs it demand,where as without math optional most of the aspirant may be follow 6 to 8 hrs pe day.people who crack exam with math as an optional ,admitted it as a lengthly subject.
