Awesome, would like to see a bigger canvas of the bottom of the entire lake. I heard some rumors there's things down there that are disturbing, which i don't believe is true, but with this robot we can end the debate and see for ourselves what's really there. Great videos! keep them coming team!
The truth is always somewhere in the middle. The mob really did dump people, but it wasn't "hundreds" like some people say, and the fish would've eaten them. However, cement shoes or weights could be found. Also, Jaques Costeau never actually dove down there, which you probably already understand. Some of the things people say in these videos though... As if there's nothing cool about Tahoe except dinosaurs and dead bodies. Lame.
There appears to be quite a bit of ambient light? Is this plane wreck not very deep, and the light we see is sunlight? Or, is the plane deeper than sunlight reaches, like 800feet, and the lighting is all from the ROV?
I'm a little late on the reply but this plane is only in 30m of water, as indicated on the left portion of the screen. So, about 100 feet of water, and because Lake Tahoe is so clear, this is all sunlight.
Charles and Walt my favs! Buttery smooth piloting and amazing demo of the software and ROV capabilities

Best video yet! Thanks for sharing.
From the look of that bent up wing tip, looks like it may have landed kinda sideways & rolled over on impact...
The aircraft is a Lake LA-4 amphibian of roughly 70's vintage.
The Lake is my favorite type of private airplane. So well thought out and designed. Its sad to see one at the bottom.
Great Video!
4:25 is that a lobster in Lake Tahoe???
Probably a really large crawfish
Yes. Yes it was.
Would an infrared camera work to see things at the deepest parts of the lake? JWST style
At 4:23. Lower left. Was that some sort of freshwater lobster?
Craydad or Crayfish.
I'd love to dive the site...care to share the lat/lon info?
If you ever get the info, would love to dove it also!
I'm. sure it was left out on purpose... i'll bet it's available somewhere.

@@OllieOxyn Thanks for the informational response. Interesting.
I notice your name is unique, were you on this mission?
I’m surprised they haven’t raised that thing- looks to be in pretty complete shape
What are they gonna do with a sunken airplane??
Cool
Did you recover that plane from the lake?
