To be fair to dog breeders like myself I am ethical and I value my dogs as my pets before my breeding dogs but I do have breeding dogs and I Health test my dogs not everybody wants an unhealthy dog that they don't know anything about their personality so adopt shop it really doesn't matter as long as you love dogs I do encourage adoption and we do have adoptions ourselves three non purebreds that we adopted but you should not tell people to adopt and not shop because there is a reason people like me breed I'm trying to save my breed number one and I'm trying to produce amazing healthy dogs some of us are actually ethical so please don't put us all down

That guy in the photo was Ed Sullivan. You are young! That was the first time I saw the Beatles. I was in grade school and I’m 65. Go back for that photo. That was the first time on US tv.
The guy closest to the band is Ed Sullivan. It was his show that brought the Beatles to the U.S.. I saw the same photo, in a better frame with the band's signatures that was selling for $395. Not sure about the other fellow, probably another act that night that didn't get to perform.
OMG, I knew the second I saw the Beatles photo that it was famous Ed Sullivan. Oh my gosh, I grew up with this show and watched the Beatles when the Beatles were on the show. I was about 12 or 13 and watched The Ed Sullivan show EVERY Sunday night! It was a very, very well known program and everyone knew who Ed Sullivan was and knew his voice anywhere! I would have grabbed that photo fast! Even little kids 7 and 8 watched his program. Actually, I have met people in their 40's and 50's and know about Ed Sullivan show. It was on the air for years and years. An extremely popular show!

I volunteer at the Oregon Humane Society. We always seem to have several huskies and German shepherds so check it out. Maybe you could rescue your new best friend.

A Norwegian Elkhound is the perfect dog for you! We had our "Mitsy" for years and she was the most beautiful, gentle, smart dog breed to be found. Her wolf appearance was amazing. A fantastic addition to anyone's family. Congratulations on your new home!

Yep. the Ed Sullivan Show - I believe he was a New York journalist and had a variety show on TV at that time. 1964 - Beatle's first trip to the US and the first time most American's saw the Beatles on TV while they were in America. It may have been a live performance - I'm not sure. I was a college student at the time and working evenings at a hospital in Maryland. One of the interns invited me to watch the show on the TV in the Doctor's lounge. I won't ever forget watching that show and seeing the Beatles. Have really been enjoying your thrifting trip down the coast of Oregon. Love your finds!!!!
My advice would be to rescue a dog and not buy a purebred. There are way too many dogs that need homes! I don't believe in buying animals when so many are being euthanized.
My advice is buy a well- bred dog from a responsible, reputable breeder. Pay the extra money for a dog who will be well behaved, healthy, and had a good start in life.
I agree 1000%! All four of my sweet pups are rescues. One of which is a senior dog that I wish more people adopted. They need love and nurturing in their final years of life. They’re so deserving of it.
Love love love your channel especially the way you take vintage and reuse and resale and repurpose now as for a dog purchasing a rescue dog is the way to go there are so many dogs in need of a home and love and it kind of follows with your whole vibe of repurposing and renewing think hard about rescuing

Yes, the man in the bottom corner shaking hands (the one on the right) is definitely Ed Sullivan! I would assume this picture is when the Beatles were on the Ed Sullivan Show. I just Googled this and it looks like they were on his show 4 different times.
My builder had built several homes in my area. We found the blue prints for one of our neighbours houses on top of our furnace air ducts, they were very pleased!

If you would like a dog that looks very much like a wolf, look at the Tamaskan!! NC State uses one for their mascot "Tuffy". Another breed is a Belgian Malinios. Can't wait to see the house and new addition to the household!☺🐕🦺🐈🐈⬛
I’m excited you’ll be getting a dog! Remember, they shed. A lot. Especially the type you’re seeking. Some people forget to take that into consideration and don’t realize the work involved in keeping everything clean. I have 2 German Shedders (shepherds- LOL) and it’s CRAZY! We can vacuum, then an hour later, need to vacuum again. It permeates everything; clothing, cars, corners, stairwells, furniture, food, even ceiling fans. But I’d rather have my dawgs than a perfectly clean home. Just giving you a heads up in case you hadn’t thought of it. ❤️

Even donated goods need sorting, storing, display, sales people, trucks, etc. The cost just to open the store has to be covered, then the profit is for helping people in need. If you don't like to pay for donated goods. Shop elsewhere. And yes, I volunteer in a thrift

They say now that they help people find work but my guess is behind that statement is they HIRE people! There isn't much Will being done at Goodwill! I prefer to shop at real charity shops now especially since GW is jacking up their prices and has taken away the coupons you would get if you donated.

I couldn't help but comment on your entire video it was so exciting. I really saw a lot of items,I love. The little hanger for your brown beret gave me an idea,for my scarves and berets and caps. I watched a few times to go back and see a lot, I spotted. there were two mugs in cement color with black swirls which I really would go with the succulent plant in the off- white planter on your shelf above your Roymoa pieces. This is 4th time watching this video .Now I remember, I saw it a year ago. I remembered, when you went back to the walkway from the hotel to the beach. Fun to watch again

@@leftcoastrevivals I cannot remember why, but one holiday season hubbydrummer and I made a huge pan of tiramisu from scratch using the classic recipe on the package of ladyfingers. It may be the best thing we ever made. It became a Christmas tradition. It’s not cheap but so fun to make together and the dessert is the best. You guys should try it at least once.

Please find a dog at a shelter, or thru a rescue group. Dogs know, and are always so grateful. Best to get two, so they can keep each other occupied when you and husband are busy!
Laura I live halfway around the world. It never ceases to amaze me how people who are so different in every way imaginable manage to have so much in common. No one in my family cares for mid century stuff the way I do ! Your finds are an absolute delight!! X
When you are ready to adopt a dog come visit Hermiston, Oregon just 30 minutes south of tricities where I volunteer at the Eastern Oregon PET RESCUE. We have wonderful dogs and cats available and bonus we have our Pet Rescue thrift store right next to the shelter on the same property where all the proceeds from the store go directly to the animals! It's a two in one you get some thrifting in and a friendly companion all in one!!!
I think those "nesting tables" at Habitat were actually nesting stools. The tops were not level so you couldn't use it for a table. But, you could sit on them. They were awesome, and I have not seen any like those before.
The picture of the Beatles was of their performance on the Ed Sullivan show. He was in the picture. That was on their 1st visit to the US. That might have been an important picture - not sure you should have passed on it.
I love your channel and all the thrifters. I realize you are basically showing us the items you are looking for and we are not with you to shop. Even donated goods need sorting, storing, display, sales people, trucks, etc. The cost just to open the store has to be covered, then the profit is for helping people in need. If you don't like to pay for donated goods. Shop elsewhere. And yes, I volunteer in a thrift

They say now that they help people find work but my guess is behind that statement is they HIRE people! There isn't much Will being done at Goodwill! I prefer to shop at real charity shops now especially since GW is jacking up their prices and has taken away the coupons you would get if you donated.

One of those 2 dudes in the Beatles picture was Ed Sullivan. That picture was unique and is certainly collectible bc it documents their 1st US appearance!!

@@leftcoastrevivals I cannot remember why, but one holiday season hubbydrummer and I made a huge pan of tiramisu from scratch using the classic recipe on the package of ladyfingers. It may be the best thing we ever made. It became a Christmas tradition. It’s not cheap but so fun to make together and the dessert is the best. You guys should try it at least once.
The man on the right was Ed Sullivan. He had a variety show on Sunday nights. He introduced many new talents to the world. Before the internet, tv was the way people became known. This was where The Beatles made their debut! The man on the left, I believe, was The Beatles manager, Brian Epstein.

Please find a dog at a shelter, or thru a rescue group. Dogs know, and are always so grateful. Best to get two, so they can keep each other occupied when you and husband are busy!
Check with the city building permit department. They might have the building plans for your house that had to be submitted for the building permit.

When you are ready to adopt a dog come visit Hermiston, Oregon just 30 minutes south of tricities where I volunteer at the Eastern Oregon PET RESCUE. We have wonderful dogs and cats available and bonus we have our Pet Rescue thrift store right next to the shelter on the same property where all the proceeds from the store go directly to the animals! It's a two in one you get some thrifting in and a friendly companion all in one!!!

I think those "nesting tables" at Habitat were actually nesting stools. The tops were not level so you couldn't use it for a table. But, you could sit on them. They were awesome, and I have not seen any like those before.

The picture of the Beatles was of their performance on the Ed Sullivan show. He was in the picture. That was on their 1st visit to the US. That might have been an important picture - not sure you should have passed on it.
