Sam has the best presentation of food...when we gonna get a fried catfiish and hush puppie with tartar sauce video?...I live overseas so I eat vicariously through your vids👍🏾
I told my wife I was going to make these and she said why don't you freeze them in little balls and put them in the air fryer. Freaking awesome. Great recipe, thanks again Sam, Max, and Chance.
This is a great recipe. As a southerner, we eat these breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Helpful hint: The deep fryer is nice, but the sticking to the rack is the reason I always make mine in a dutch oven. Also the heavy dutch oven holds more heat so I can get a few more in per batch without the temp dropping.
@@rptromega I don't know exactly. I set it on medium and let it preheat (with oil) for 15 minutes. According to the internet, which never lies, the medium setting on my 8" coil should be 325° to 374°F. Hope this helps!
Okay... ...I saw this this afternoon and made the fritters tonight as an homage to the ones my granny used to make when I was a kid. These were FRIGGING AWESOME! - I did a shallow pan fry. They are on my repeat list like so many of your other cooks are. Thank you!!
Greetings from south Louisiana y'all. My mama used to make these... they wandered thru my mind occasionally thru the years... I might just have to do us up a batch... with some gumbo or tater soup... Thank you Sam and boys for bringin me some happy memories.
You three should have a cooking contest. Each of you make your favorite dish or signature dish... And have 3 fans rate them and a dessert I'll be one of the fans
I love the interaction between you and your boys. You guys are priceless! Sam, you MUST add Comeback Sauce to your repertoire! Once you've had it you can't NOT come back!
The boys look like something waiting in front of Home Depot parking lot and then you have them hop in the back of the pickup to do yard work at your house … and they work for food :)
Sam and Fam, There is a great restaurant in Titusville, FL called Dixie Crossroads that serves (among other delicious things) hot corn fritters dusted with powdered sugar. Give it a whirl. Shout out to Dixie Crossroads and the Townsend family! Love your show
Can't wait to try these!! Came across a crispy hashbrown hack using a waffle iron. Everyone we've told thought it was the coolest idea but no one had a waffle iron. It would be so cool if you could try it. Imagination's the limit on what ingredients you could use- along with the shredded russet. Heck, you could even use your fritter batter. Thanks
I love corn fritters but have never had jalapeno in them before. I bet that's delicious! I love watching this show. I feel like y'all hanging out while cooking is a lot like how my family is and that's one reason I enjoy watching.
Shuck 4 ears corn, run knife down each row to split them, cut split kernels off into bowl, add 1/4 cup flour and splash of milk, chill in fridge. Beat 1 or 2 egg whites until firm, fold into mixture, drop spoonfulls into hot oil until crispy. Season with salt and serve with blackberry jam.
I'm not trying to be another one of the Chance fangirls but I love watching all three of you trying it. Good change. I do enjoy seeing Chance's reaction because he's a bit more expressive than Max and Sam (which isn't a bad to either of you two; just an observation). Love watching this show!
I don't know how and why i got addicted to this channel but it goes on and im always glad to see new video, 3 times a week for like 2 years already (plus hundreds older videos). There are times (this video is one of em) when im just a little "dissapointed" when the new video is so short, simple and super fast recipe 😄. I's great you cover different cuisines and i would like to see you try cooking some "Eastern European food" (Russian, Turkish, "Balkans recipes..."). All delicious, different and interesting cuisines. Also some fine desserts will be great for a change, if you see any joy or interest for those cuisines and desserts of course 🙂. Keep up the great work 💪!
Looks great... My wife has two questions... #1 What is the difference between fritters and hush puppies? #2 Has Sam cooked anything that he didn't end up liking? Thanks Guys!
Made these a few weeks ago, love them. Didn’t make the sauce but I’m making them again tonight for an Avs game party(GO AVS!) complete with the sauce and I’m excited to cook something that someone besides me gets to eat.
Instead of fighting, it would be great to see Sam and Guy throw down in a cooking competition. Max and Hunter could see who’s a better commentator for the competition. Chance and Ryder could be the taste testers 😅
When I worked for a supermarket chain's bakery department we used ice cream scoops ( several different sizes ) to get consistent sizes, they work great once you get your scooping technique down. Clean up easy too
Sam - do you have a recommendation for a deep fryer? I would like to receive one for Father's Day. Also, do you prefer to use your deep fryer outside in a covered area?
Holy shit! I just made these for the first time but instead of using the jalapeños like you did I used a jar of sweet heat. What that is is candy pickles and jalapeños. Oh my God was it good. I love a lot of your cooking ideas and I have to tell you this is probably one of my favorite ones as far as simplicity and what you get in return.I love your show and keep up the good work. F squared!
The ones I remember the most were from when Bob Evans had their country stores...you used to get a big basket of them when you sat down that they'd fill back up.
Some quality F-bombs, boys! I felt the cathartic release all the way here in Toronto. Nice to see all the lads together on camera for a moment too. It's always a nice touch. Well done, and keep it up.
I think everyone can agree when I say we need a shirt that says "Let it get fragrant" with maybe garlic that has the lines above it that show smell! MAKE IT HAPPEN!!
All I've got to say yes so Sam the cooking guy in the boys went back to the roots finally they have come back to reality thank you dude we knew that you would be here someday but here we are this is a beautiful day fuck

Hey Sam. I'm gay. I love the vids! Give me a shout out some time, bruh. Xoxo
I joined and am getting my first box!! Thanks Sam ❤️
It’s about time you made space cookies 🍃🍪😵💫😂👍🏻
Love to see the boys try the finished results, I hope you keep that trend.
Nah they don’t need real food feed them the scraps
Agree 100

Great idea!
Ah can you give us directions? ❤️ Thanks!

+1 for the Dutch oven!
Definitely the way to go for these.
What temperature do you recommend for the oil in a dutch oven? Or do you just wing it?

@@JohnToddTheOriginal Thanks! That lines up with what the Great and Powerful Google says the oil should be, as well. Glad to have confirmation!
Also, we call them hush puppies!!😂

Finally, a recipe to use in my George Bluth Cornballer ❤
Hurts so good
The cornballer commercial pairs well with the bleeping at the end!

Scooped up an entire Oriental family in The Gulf Mexico using a Chinese fishing net. A must use tool for all kitchens. Great idea!!!!!

Sam, we need a longer Guga impersonation. That was funny.
Fieri, Guga, and Babish name dropped! Love corn fritters and you guys. Keep up the super work!
Whether I truly was or not, when I liked the video it said I was like 420 and that made my day. Thank you and you’re welcome.
4/20 is my favorite day. I'm in Michigan so it's legal for everyone here, isn't that just awesome 😎 ?? 👍👍

7:57 he just said Babish 🤣
Chance: “Who am I gonna #%^* up…?“ 😂😂😂😂
'non of this goes in'🤣
Max- oh ya
😂
Lmao Sam "he wears his sunglasses backwards, I think that means HE could kick MY ass"
Guy Fieri does a lot of charity work, you guys should collaborate on a show or series. That would ge epic.

Will 100% pay to see that fight 🤣
A Fantastic episode ... Sam's right ... short sweet and it looked and sounded delicious ... like these real quick and easy ones ...
SAM - You need to do a mashup with Guga
I just love it when you go on a rant and the boys are all in. Looks delish. Yum!
It’s cool seeing the boys try stuff too. Not that anyone would ever not trust your taste test, the second and third party opinions are great!
Looks awesome! Been hungry for corn fritters lately so really super happy you posted this!
Definitely need the boys in the taste tests.
You guys are a riot! Love it!!!
Glad everyone is eating on camera...yall should do fried macaroni and cheese
0:45 the reason why I came back to this video 😂😂😂😂😂
This guy gets it. Look at everyone else’s fritters and look at this guy’s fritters. This guy shares my bar food obsession.
Oh my jeez.... just finished making these and they F'in delish

I am officially putting a deep fryer on my next shopping list of cooking materials I want to own in my life time
I worked at a country style food restaurant. We made hush puppies all day long. Ice cream scooper like that is the way to go. Perfect consistency
It's really cold here in southwest today.
I'm making gumbo.
These look good on side.
Thanks.

Being from the South, we eat this all the time. I haven't made them in years. Since I moved to Colorado I've forgot about them. I need to try these.

I've never had these, def a must try

Maybe the consistency, ingredients? Also, I've never had a hushpuppy with corn bits in it. They look tasty though.
Keep the boys in the video at the end trying the food with you it's cool
Don’t stop having everyone try the food at the end 👍 also bring back “let them do their thing”

My grandmother made corn fritters with maple syrup EVERY Sunday (sans jalapenos though). Ah memories.
I love you Sam, never fucking change!!!

Just had a great thought Sam. You should make a Paella!
I have used this same recipe with fresh jalapeno peppers for the heat. I will try the pickled the next time I make them.
OMG, I TOTALLY HAVE TO MAKE THESE!!! These, some fried Catfish, and French fries!!!!! Oooof, I just gained 5 lbs thinking about it!!! (Ope! I'm 🤤🤤🤤!)
