The fact that EXO released “what is love” and “history” as their pre-debut songs. Then to pull up with “MAMA” for their actual debut. They come to dominate with their versatility
if you’re confused, the Power mv essentially confirmed the parallel universe lore of exo which explains why they’re different ppl every time they come out with new music. You’re seeing a different version of them in another universe

Exo are R&B kings. The rizz is in their blood. they are The most Versatile Boygroup in Kpop. I am not lying i found them in 2023 and bcz of suho's mozart, baekchen live duet, Kai's solo and one legendary live Mama+monster+wolf. And i was stunned. Like nobody does so many different genres and concepts like them.
Ive always said “Mama” is the best debut in kpop that ive heard. The vocals are tremendous!❤

Power is a comic book style mv, not to be taken seriously, I don't care for the mv, but I can vibe with the beat.
Baby Exo was experimental at best, but I hated MAMA when it dropped..HAATED IT. also WOLF. HAATED IT! But now they are iconic Exo songs that I absolutely love! So go figure....and we talking 12 years ago, so to weave the lore in and out was such hard work. And they've been my ult group since they opened their mouths, and till today still are. Hey, with alot of Baby Exo songs being pure cute pop music, XOXO and others I didn't care for....but the great music that they've done since then more than make up for it. What can I say, Baby Exo was another time, and as they reached out to target any audience, with very good, and not so favorite sounds, from their first album to now, it will always be those vocals for me, that I know no one can compare. And obviously the massive worldwide fandom they amassed fell in love with the vocals. Especially the ballads, love songs and ridiculous harmonies...the talking point of the industry since they hit the scene way back then. You could not find the vocal equivalent in youngsters as a starting point, even before their own trainee days....the main vocalists were already singing this well in middle school. And they sound exactly the same today! Give me a break, have you seen their killing voice.
With the many sensational singers in Korea, I've found that only a few are pure vocalists like Exo, those born with such voices....others are either getting by with some vocals, on their good days, or are straining to sing, especially live, high notes very out of tune. But Exo are not perfect, their voices crack now and then, even live, but very rarely. They are older now and have trained their voices so well over the past 10-12 years that vocal techniques learned sure shows their growth. Incredible.

To be honest SAME hahaha. Genie ads were in EVERY SM MV around that time and it always made me mad that they would use their groups to promote their new music service that boldly..... but yeah to answer your question: GENIE is still around and one of the major music services in Southkorea, second to MELON.
The XOXO Album and previous EXO albums had many great songs. While their music has evolved, EXO's genre and vocals remain precious. Also, their visuals have aged like fine wine.❤
Overdose was the first song I heard from EXO and after that I got overdosed by EXO 😂😂 and kept me coming back 😂😂
I obviously got into EXO wayyy past their debut, but it was ironically tbeir pre-debut track What Is Love that sold me on them. I absolutely could not believe my ears dude. They've since become my ults (i think thats what you call your favorite in kpop). Absolutely incredibly talented group. They just dont make em like this anymore. And i dont just mean in kpop, i mean anywhere lol. 🥵💅🏾🔥❤️
