I always assumed this game would be extremely complex, and I was too intimidated to look into how to play it. Now, after watching this video, I was surprised that Azul, while not as easy as Checkers, still has rules that are graspable enough to not be overwhelmed by them. I really want to play it now!
00:32 this is actually wrong, its 5, 7 or 9 factory tiles for 2, 3 or 4 players respectively, not 5, 6 or 7. Basically, the number of factory tiles is 2 x Number of players +1.
I saw this board game, and it looked like the kind of game my friend would love bc it's kind of abstract and challenging while also having a cozy aesthetic. It's so cool how similar this game is to Bingo!!!
My wife and I bought this game and forgot about it. A couple weeks later, we pulled it out and decided to play with her family. We started reading the rules, got confused and decided to watch this video. We watched this video, and then immediately wished we had purchased another game. Once you get the hang of it, things move pretty fast and it’s ok, but I absolutely HATE the scoring of this game.
If you happen to have more than 1 row with 4 complete colors, and can complete them at once on that round. But that's also why complete row only gives 2 bonus points, which encourages players to complete vertical columns (7 bonus each) instead.
@@Godlimate "clarified of the game arrangement whose turn it is at which phase." What do you mean? Besides the incorrect number of factories for 3/4 players, the rules were accurate.
I have a request. Can you please make more games that do not require anything. I mean like without a board or dice or anything. Like for exp. snaps and these types of games.
I saw this game on the shelf at Target tonight for the first time and thought I'd look up its rules. I'm kind of glad I didn't buy it; it seems unnecessarily complicated.
I love watching 'how to play' videos for games I don't have
💀
You’re not alone. 😂

Same!
About to play it tonight!
My 6 years old can play. It really is not as complicated as it seems
Same. friend pulled it out of the box and I was like wtf is this, way too complicated. we played a game and the next day i bought the game lmao.
I never thought triple S games would cover this game, but I'm so glad he is.
Me too

Why does the video say 5 factory displays for 2 players, 6 for 3, and 7 for 4, when the game instructions say 5 for 2, 7 for 3, and 9 for 4?

An amazingly concise and easy-to-follow video. Thank you.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. my dad and I argued for an HOUR yesterday coz he read the rules different than i did. now ill STICK IT UP TO HIM!😂😂😂
So, should we expect rules video for expansion or Chocolatier version?
This is such a useful video!
With every single detail covered
Azul is Blue in Portuguese, also meant it’s for Azulejo. 0:04
In Spanish too
Pretty sure you place 5/7/9 factory tiles for 2/3/4 players respectively (´・ω・`)
Yeah, I think you are right
One of my favourites!
You ate these instructions up
"Azul" means "blue".
Bluey😲
It's also a reference to the word "Azulejo" meaning tile
In Kabyle, "azul" means "hello".
Did you know "Alcatraz" means "pelican?"
Cool
I don’t get how at the end someone could have more than 1 horizontal line if the game ends as soon as someone has only one horizontal line?
If you win the last chance bet and have mermaids do you get the color bonus for the bet then 1st mermaid card counts towards 2nd highest color set?
Arranged puzzle+ sudoku style
Awesome
I picked up on that sudoku style too
How can there be a player with multiple horizontal lines filled when the game stops after someone completes a horizontal line as you said?
I would imagine it would be during the last round, and a player has multiple filled rows with just one empty space left
If you happen to have more than 1 row with 4 complete colors, and can complete them at once on that round. But that's also why complete row only gives 2 bonus points, which encourages players to complete vertical columns (7 bonus each) instead.
Can you make a video of risk strike card game
azurill?
Could you make a video on how to play ball and stick?
Ball in a cup?
0:30 You made a mistake:
It's 7 factories for 3 players and 9 factories for 4 players.
Correct! And it wasn’t even clarified of the game arrangement whose turn it is at which phase. This was not a good tutorial

Is this game more complicated than Sorry or Clue? Yes. On a scale of 1-10, how complicated? 6. It's not that complicated y'all.
Never knew you could Play colors

Now i see why i ner heard of this game.

Nah its not. Only the scoring is
Sure, maybe you shouldn’t have: Azul mini is cheaper and basically the same game without the fiddly score track; but you do lose the weighty tiles.
can you make a video on how to make videos about explaining briefly simple short and strategic games?
I play this game at floor and tile
I would only buy this game for the tiles... the game sounds complicated... imagine explaining this to your family... 😅
I have to explain to them today-
Welp time to play my middle name which I probably shouldn’t say out loud but it’s okay cause it’s a name an-
Ok, never mind
Just played it-its not as confusing as the instructions seem. It's pretty much like an extended version or candy crush
This is complicated
Exactly my thoughts, and I once tried to work out English spelling.
We considered playing it tonight, but after 3 mins of the vid, we decided to just keep drinking and played charades.
It's complicated until you get into the flow of the game, and then the rules come pretty naturally.
