I knew something like that was happening in that time... Because, do you remember or realize the amount of sponsors in Busan Concert? There were about ten, or more, and it was showed them through the concert, specially at the beginning and ending there were a list of companies. When I saw that I knew government put zero money and it was obviously Big Hit had looked for sponsors for financial support. It was quite obvious.

One of the best decision that BTS did was to enlist. It showed everyone that they don’t owe the government or the Korean people anything. They did their duty. They were quietly working in the military doing their duty. And loudly telling ARMY, we are still releasing contents. Remember when their president, just before the short coup, visited RM's military band and had a photo op there how RM's face was smiling but clinched? I thought something was afoot. Now he is being impeached and more details are coming out. Doing their service hasn't slowed them down. It's brought back a normalcy to their life, a grounding, a chance for powerful solo's to come out, a hype for their comeback. The worst thing about this whole incident is, that there was actually a Budget (from Sponsoring Companys, so not from the taxmoney of the people), that should have covered a large amount of the main costs, and Hybe should have covered only the remaining costs, but it seems that this available Budget disappeared in the Pockets of some politicians, and Hybe had to pay everything in the end. At least that was how I heard it from another very informative channel.

1. Officials went after the parents. 2. If I remember correctly it was an empty lot that used to be a glass factory owed by a gov official that they wanted to use. When KArmy went to look at the place, they said it was one way in& out no facilities and the ground was covered in glass. Speculation was the official would sell the property for premium cause the concert was there. As for the stadium, it needed major renovations and I think BigHit bit the bullet on that as well.
I absolutely adored their performance of Cipher 3 at the Busan concert. They absolutely were speaking their truth. That, and Ugh! were my favorite performances of that concert.
It makes me sad how BTS was treated. But I’m glad they did their own thing by enlisting, they don’t owe the government anything. They think we’re blind but we see between the lines. True ARMY will always stand by them and support them in every way possible. 💜💜After hearing all of these details, I absolutely agree that they did the right thing! By enlisting as any other citizen, they used South Korea's own laws( and underhandedness) against them. They also protected themselves (and army) from being used any further. I was already in agreement with them enlisting after the government dragged their feet so much on their exemption. I had a feeling the government was trying to figure out a way to use BTS to their advantage, I just didn't know how. When the guys kept saying to trust them, no matter what we hear, something was definitely up. I had no doubt in my mind that BTS were the trustworthy ones, and of course they were! BTS would not compromise quality at any costs, even for a free concert! The Busan concert was so amazing! I repeat BTS just refuses to put out any weak performances out there. I went to the concert. There was no proper security could have walked in with anything, Yet for safety they wouldn't let the boys drive around in the jeep! yet no checks on anything/ anyone going in venue. There were no proper food things set up, some people were fainting in the queues for check in which was organised differently for oversees ticket holders. If this was to support a bid for Busan, I know perfectly well what the world expo is. there was no promotion of Busan/korea there should have been business ventures, advertising, it should have been for business not for a pop concert. I heard original setting was in car parks which is why it was objected to and that it was tied with ownership of the local politicians who actually didn't do anything. There was no promotion for a world expo, so if they couldn't even organise this they didn't deserve to host it, how could they? The amount of foreigners that came over even without tickets made the place sold out but the city didn't do anything to take care of so many visitors ;let alone a plan to show they could host a prestigious event how could they host top businesses around the world to come if they couldn't even cater to this. The locals reaped all the added income from the hotels transport hospitality etc, to Army. It was just a shambles, and BTS did it to keep their word and for the Army and perhaps did their best concert ever.....the "world expo" was completely lost ...the so called reason for it, I knew they wouldn't win the bid, so it went to a closed country like Saudi......they really blew it, corrupt politicians, and too closed to really understand international relations.
I recall very clearly when all of this was happening and kept thinking at the time how absolutely disfraceful it was. Now, revisiting it, I feel that even more strongly. They will use BTS for their own gain with zero regard for the negative consequences for the members. Disgusting!

Exactly. Like if they were exempted, who would face the Korean Public's backlash? BTS. Antis would have flooded them with hate comments. K Media would have had a field day criticizing them. People would say that they are getting special treatment and that it's unfair (though I think they definitely deserve to be treated as special considering their contribution to the economy). And the Korean government would have kept pin drop silence about it. Same would have happened if the serving in parts idea had happened. Infact it probably would have been worse considering how antis are unhappy about them releasing stuff and maintaining their popularity right now. Specially considering how the government official had framed the sentence saying " we will support BTS to help them perform if they wish to" (not the exact words but similar). I am really glad that the members enlisted and did not fall into these schemes.

Majority of army here during that whole debacle new exactly what the government was doing, I was around when the Korean news was reporting that government officials visited the Jimin and JK's parents to persuade them to be a part of the Expo bid and when the Korean news announced the government was refusing to pay for anything after they already said they were gonna pay half the costs for the venue. It's only new army and the Korean gp who weren't paying attention to the news then that didn't know. This report by the Korean news just makes things much more clear that Yoon along with other government officials personally pocketed the money they were suppose to use. I'm glad it's being put on blast what they did however I can see this being another incidence of BTS being used in political affairs as the opposing government party want Yoon & is party members to look really bad to suit their agenda. Despite know that the liberal party is using this to bash conservative Yoon with and they clearly having an agenda for this news story I'm still glad that the Korean news is putting them on blast. We have been dealing with the majority of the Korean media attacking BTS and Hybe for 2 yrs now which it's not all MHJ's work alone it includes other powerful entities like SM and Kakao along with whoever they have in their pocket including government officials from both political parties it seems.

It appears that the government had a ring-fenced budget allocated for this event, no matter who performed. So instead of these funds being passed on to Big Hit/Hybe, they footed the whole bill themselves. NOT to pay BTS but to cover logistics, staff, security, transport, facilities etc. I think there were even adaptations to the building! Forget BTS for a moment, governments don't make a bid for world events like an Expo or the Olympics without allocating funding. Big Hit/Hybe have been stiffed big time. They need to pursue this!!!💜

From what I've read on Naver, BTS were always going to perform for free. The 4.5 mil was to cover operating costs for the concert which included all the fees for sound, lighting, backup dancers, etc. So basically they screwed Big Hit out of all the operating costs. Not cool.
I honestly thought we all knew this. I knew before the concert that BTS paid for everything. Also, don't forget they didn't agree to do it at first. It was after the Mayor of Busan approached Jimin and JKs fathers that they agreed to do it. The Korean government screwed them all the way around. June 2025 will be here soon, 12 years. I remember during the Busan concert emotions of BTS seemed all over the place from pissed, to sad, to just resigned etc. I knew something was coming that would make Army sad. I remember these two events and how the Seoul and Busan governments screwed them over. I want to add, the middle finger to Busan was them announcing enlistment right after. There were about ten, or more, and it was showed them through the concert, specially at the beginning and ending there were a list of companies. When I saw that I knew government put zero money and it was obviously Big Hit had looked for sponsors for financial support. It was quite obvious.

One of the best decision that BTS did was to enlist. It showed everyone that they don’t owe the government or the Korean people anything. They did their duty. They were quietly working in the military doing their duty. And loudly telling ARMY, we are still releasing contents. Remember during the Busan concert when BTS kept saying …just to trust them and not worry. Yep they knew what was up and was soooooo over being used. After the sh*t show Jamboree that Korea hosted, they will never get awarded ANY kind of major function. Korea is not on a world stage scale. They are too small minded and the government and backers are too corrupt, greedy and incompetent. They need to stay away from large scale events, and collect the income BTS brings into the country, not try to continuously exploit BTS. I'm glad they did what they did and not get an exemption so no one can throw shade on them anymore about "wanting to be exempted". They paid their dues to their country and so much more, yet get the worst PR from their own Korean media and government.

Remember when their president, just before the short coup, visited RM's military band and had a photo op there how RM's face was smiling but clinched? I thought something was afoot. Now he is being impeached and more details are coming out. Doing their service hasn't slowed them down. It's brought back a normalcy to their life, a grounding, a chance for powerful solo's to come out, a hype for their comeback. They were kids growing up into men inside the dome of stadiums and the entertainment industry. Now they are adults, empowered with individual experiences of leadership outside the confines of celebrities. They made everyday friends but also money from solo projects. The worst thing about this whole incident is, that there was actually a Budget (from Sponsoring Companys, so not from the taxmoney of the people), that should have covered a large amount of the main costs, and Hybe should have covered only the remaining costs, but it seems that this available Budget disappeared in the Pockets of some politicians, and Hybe had to pay everything in the end. At least that was how I heard it from another very informative channel.

1. Officials went after the parents. 2. If I remember correctly it was an empty lot that used to be a glass factory owed by a gov official that they wanted to use. When KArmy went to look at the place, they said it was one way in& out no facilities and the ground was covered in glass. Speculation was the official would sell the property for premium cause the concert was there. As for the stadium, it needed major renovations and I think BigHit bit the bullet on that as well.

True ARMY will always stand by them and support them in every way possible. They also protected themselves (and army) from being used any further. I was already in agreement with them enlisting after the government dragged their feet so much on their exemption. I had a feeling the government was trying to figure out a way to use BTS to their advantage, I just didn't know how. When the guys kept saying to trust them, no matter what we hear, something was definitely up. I had no doubt in my mind that BTS were the trustworthy ones, and of course they were! thank you for the explanation. It is always hard to know about the secret workings of another country or even our own. 2025 should be a much better year for so many! I just hope our OT7 pace themselves when they come back and that they know we appreciate them.
I went to the concert. There was no proper security could have walked in with anything, Yet for safety they wouldn't let the boys drive around in the jeep! yet no checks on anything/ anyone going in venue. There were no proper food things set up, some people were fainting in the queues for check in which was organised differently for oversees ticket holders. If this was to support a bid for Busan, I know perfectly well what the world expo is. there was no promotion of Busan/korea there should have been business ventures, advertising, it should have been for business not for a pop concert. I heard original setting was in car parks which is why it was objected to and that it was tied with ownership of the local politicians who actually didn't do anything. There was no promotion for a world expo, so if they couldn't even organise this they didn't deserve to host it, how could they? The amount of foreigners that came over even without tickets made the place sold out but the city didn't do anything to take care of so many visitors ;let alone a plan to show they could host a prestigious event how could they host top businesses around the world to come if they couldn't even cater to this. The locals reaped all the added income from the hotels transport hospitality etc, to Army. It was just a shambles, and BTS did it to keep their word and for the Army and perhaps did their best concert ever.....the "world expo" was completely lost ...the so called reason for it, I knew they wouldn't win the bid, so it went to a closed country like Saudi......they really blew it, corrupt politicians, and too closed to really understand international relations.
I recall very clearly when all of this was happening and kept thinking at the time how absolutely disfraceful it was. Now, revisiting it, I feel that even more strongly. They will use BTS for their own gain with zero regard for the negative consequences for the members. Disgusting!
Also the the live was a mess because, there was a so called problem with the live streaming. Which later on was proven intentionnaly to hurt BTS and ARMY

Antis would have flooded them with hate comments. K Media would have had a field day criticizing them. People would say that they are getting special treatment and that it's unfair (though I think they definitely deserve to be treated as special considering their contribution to the economy). And the Korean government would have kept pin drop silence about it.
Same would have happened if the serving in parts idea had happened. Infact it probably would have been worse considering how antis are unhappy about them releasing stuff and maintaining their popularity right now. Specially considering how the government official had framed the sentence saying " we will support BTS to help them perform if they wish to" (not the exact words but similar).
I am really glad that the members enlisted and did not fall into these schemes.

Majority of army here during that whole debacle new exactly what the government was doing, I was around when the Korean news was reporting that government officials visited the Jimin and JK's parents to persuade them to be a part of the Expo bid and when the Korean news announced the government was refusing to pay for anything after they already said they were gonna pay half the costs for the venue. It's only new army and the Korean gp who weren't paying attention to the news then that didn't know. This report by the Korean news just makes things much more clear that Yoon along with other government officials personally pocketed the money they were suppose to use. I'm glad it's being put on blast what they did however I can see this being another incidence of BTS being used in political affairs as the opposing government party want Yoon & is party members to look really bad to suit their agenda. Despite know that the liberal party is using this to bash conservative Yoon with and they clearly having an agenda for this news story I'm still glad that the Korean news is putting them on blast. We have been dealing with the majority of the Korean media attacking BTS and Hybe for 2 yrs now which it's not all MHJ's work alone it includes other powerful entities like SM and Kakao along with whoever they have in their pocket including government officials from both political parties it seems.

It always baffles me how the government (and some citizens) clearly know the magnitude of the impact BTS has on their country but continues to treat them like dirt ... Like it's so craaazzzyyy to me. I won't lie I'd be kissing their behinds n literally rolling out red carpets everywhere they walked cause the work they've done and still continue to do for the love of their country and people is truly not something you see a lot of nowadays. It appears that the government had a ring-fenced budget allocated for this event, no matter who performed.
So instead of these funds being passed on to Big Hit/Hybe, they footed the whole bill themselves. NOT to pay BTS but to cover logistics, staff, security, transport, facilities etc. I think there were even adaptations to the building!
Forget BTS for a moment, governments don't make a bid for world events like an Expo or the Olympics without allocating funding.

istg, BTS is becoming everyone’s punching bag for no damn reason, what did they ever done to get everyone straight up mad af, is like they’re not allowed to do anything without having the medias, haters, kpoppies be on their throats. If they breathe, they get canceled, it they eat, canceled, if they laugh, they get canceled, sneeze, canceled, sleep, canceled, drops new album, canceled, standing up for themselves, canceled, fart, canceled. What the SK gov done to them was really messed up and just using them for money, when this free concert is for army and BTS performed only for us army. From what I've read on Naver, BTS were always going to perform for free. The 4.5 mil was to cover operating costs for the concert which included all the fees for sound, lighting, backup dancers, etc. So basically they screwed Big Hit out of all the operating costs. Not cool.

I honestly thought we all knew this. I knew before the concert that BTS paid for everything. Also, don't forget they didn't agree to do it at first. It was after the Mayor of Busan approached Jimin and JKs fathers that they agreed to do it. The Korean government screwed them all the way around. June 2025 will be here soon, 12 years. ARMY, let's show Bangtan how much we appreciate them and proud of them we are 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜.
Not surprised by any of this because I've watched SK switch up much too fast on how they treated the guys and ARMY so it was pretty obvious they had their own agenda. And the guys gave plenty of hints to the real goings on about the crazy issues behind the scenes of the Busan concert. Of course while trying not to make it seem entirely awful because after all, they wanted it ultimately all for us. Finally, the only surprise here really, is that the SK media is actually giving the full story of this ugly mess. 2yrs late, but still...

I remember during the Busan concert emotions of BTS seemed all over the place from pissed, to sad, to just resigned etc. I knew something was coming that would make Army sad. They said there is things they couldn't tell us until the time was right and to trust them. I blindly trusted and continued to follow them. They deserve so much more than they are given. Pay them and Bighit their money.. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 much love to all members of BTS and we stand with you.. still. I am glad this news is out now. South Korea needs to start treating them like the treasure they are.. what other band would have done what was best for their country and taken such a personal loss.. not many if any.

I remember these two events and how the Seoul and Busan governments screwed them over. I want to add, the middle finger to Busan was them announcing enlistment right after. For Seoul jamboree, BigHit’s hilarious middle finger was saying NO and only offering old warehouse photo cards lol! It was so funny and ARMY had a good laugh.
For Yet to Come, luckily they recoup the cost through releasing the concert in cinemas and on Prime streaming.
Do you know what the hurting part of this is? It's the fact you NEVER see or hear the boys complain or bit** and moan about the treatment that they get from anyone. They still go out there and put their all into it because they are not doing it for themselves but for ARMY.
We are the luckiest fanthom in this world, because we have 7 Kings who put their all into us as their fans, and I'm so happy that we as ARMYS support them with all we are or have. This is just sickening.
Then you have those out there who criticize them saying that they think they are all that. So YES for all you HATERZ out there, YES, they are all that and then some. BTS has given a whole lot for SK and SK hasn't done shit for them. They hate on them and criticize them. That's what they get for being DECENT HUMBLE HUMAN BEINGS.

Rm was constantly looking at guidance from I assume the manager if they could actually touch their hand any part of the body or if they could even move any part of their body they didn’t seem like they were enjoying anything performing that night , but they always do a great job no matter what position they’re in. They always do their best ,I wonder what’s behind that probably tons of money.
