Thank you very much for the rating. Out of my experience real estate deserves a higher rating. I can only speak for the german market, but here I got 6 different job offers directly after undergraduate degree, ranging from a start up to the most successful employers of Europe in their branche. As real estate already was specific it was very general in the area of real estate and as almost every industrial company need buildings for producing products or IT hardware, it was very easy to be competitive against marketing, accounting, finance or other business area students... so there are a lot of other jobs than real estate agent which are paid well. But I totally agree you don’t really need a university degree to become a real estate agent

one thing to note about degrees in HR mgmt is if the college is academically aligned with SHRM. Going through a SHRM aligned program allows one to test out for it much sooner giving them a big leg up on the competition. Getting SHRM certified is the future of the profession and in 10 years no one wanting to work a prominent role in HR will be able to do so without it. I'm not advocating for it to be in S or A tier but I think factoring in SHRM should give it a solid B tier with A tier potential in the distant future.

    Hi Shane,
I hope you are doing great. I think your channel is excellent, so, big compliments!
In matters of this video I want to point out the following:
I would need to disagree on the real estate degrees. Maybe you have a bit of confusion in matters (at least from my point of view). I just want to cite a fellow student here in the UK: "Unfortunately Real Estate in the UK gets mixed up with the US real estate and realtor - which are basically our estate agents.
A UK real estate degree (whether undergrad or masters) is usually accredited with the RICS and therefore can count as the academic component for people wanting to become chartered surveyors.
Most real estate degrees then have very little residential agency work in them and beyond a week or so in a law module about resi tenancies almost nothing about renting houses. They tend to be much more focussed on commercial property - valuation, property development, commercial tenancy management, investment portfolios etc."
Please check some modules of reputable universities here in the UK or in the US (given that your video is US-related):
Corporate Finance | Real Estate Portfolio Management | Real Estate Investment Appraisal | Real Estate Securities PT | Real Estate Valuation | Real Estate Development | International Real Estate | Real Estate Economics | Residential Real Estate and Policy | Real Estate Law | Real Estate Funding | Strategic Management of Corporate Real Estate | Applied Urban and Real Estate Economics, Spatial Planning and Real Estate Development and, of course, a dissertation.
There are even DBAs or PhDs in matters, and number one (if we consider uni rankings) is MIT which I do not think would bother prospective students with a simple real estate agent course. Same with Cambridge or Reading here in the UK. That is my humble opinion, but please prove me wrong.
Keep these videos coming! Great content! :)
    Best,
    Chris

I think the real estate degrees deserve a higher ranking. Most of the degrees I’ve come across have a commercial real estate finance focus that cover acquisitions, development, and asset management. But it is very specific so I can see it falling into C tier.

You can get a real estate license without college. It is a waste of a degree you learn everything in real estate itself rather than a degree from college. With being a realtor it’s all about lead generation it’s contact sport. You have to doorknock, cold call, prospect, and also learn your contracts with the actually organization NOT IN COLLEGE.
Use college for something better and something else than real estate.

Your demand score should be renamed to degree recognition. For example the degree Management Science may not have a high recognition, but the skills from the degree may have a high demand. Data science and data management will help you land data analyst positions. If you want to become a data scientist you will probably need your masters. I got a management information system degree 6 years ago. I had a hard time finding a job because most companies were looking for computer science degrees. I can tell you it helped me how to be a natural problem solver and how to write effective algorithms when creating reports and systems. Because of this, I was promoted as manager in pricing analytics within 2 years from an entry-level position (which is rare for any big corporation). I'm a lazy C average student, but I am passionate about Excel/VBA/Interpretating data and creating reports, and streamlining processes. Your future is bright with data science or management information system degree.

I'll second Gabrielle in the comments below. A Real Estate major in a 4 year university is not designed to train Realtors, ie, people who sell you your home. Yes, just go get you license and get to work. It is mainly for understanding commercial real estate which often comes down to institutional investors investing billions like REITs, pension funds, sovereign wealth, private equity firms etc. Other avenues are lending, valuation, and development of large commercial properties. It's often linked at the hip with finance programs. So while some bachelor's degrees and associates allow outlets into Realtor work, this is not the intention of these programs. This is coming from someone with a bachelor's in real estate from university of North Texas, Masters in Real Estate from Texas A&M and currently a PhD program preparing for a career in industry, education, and research.

Folks, it's not about the degree exactly, it's what you do with it that matters.
You can easily get certificates and licenses with or without those degrees.
Examples, surveys, and mapping needs a degree and experience.
Or without a degree you can get licenses for scuba diving, welding and a few other certificates and weld under water for a living.
Or you could be a truck driver, no degree needed. CDL-A license
Or you could get a notary license and make your own side hustle. It isn't talked about much, but it is in my opinion the absolute best side gig anyone can do.
Or you could get licensed for cleaning pools and only advertise to the rich neighborhood. Go and knock on peoples doors if need be.
Or you could get a permit to go digging for gold.

Everything is fine but you are wrong with Business Administration degree, it's not general we specialize in one area of business in our last year anywhere from finance, mis, supply chain etc. I'm studying business administration and will specialize in banking and finance.
