International Symposium 2024 of GUB @ News24

The Department of English, in collaboration with the Center for Language and Cultural Studies (CLCS), successfully organized the International Symposium 2024 titled "EFL/ESL Teacher Education and Use of Technology in Bangladesh: Present State and Future Directions" on February 7, 2024, in room A302.
The event featured two workshops by Professor Dr. Maria Villalobos of Rider University, USA, and Professor Dr. Richard Smith of Warwick University, along with keynote papers by Professor Dr. Rubina Khan from the University of Dhaka and Dr. Arifa Rahman from the University of Dhaka. Additionally, a panel discussion was held by five distinguished professors of English in Bangladesh.
The inaugural ceremony, graced by Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Vice Chancellor (Acting), GUB, and Distinguished Guest Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, included esteemed guests from other universities and our in-house faculties and students.
