wait.. the seek eyes at door 100 teased seek's massive return in floor 2 and he became more of a threat than we thought, and at the castle we saw the frestering meat of Figure, which means he can cause us some big problems in the castle
heres a fun fact about seek (yes i know im a hour late) Seek is actually the opposite of figure, this is because figure is blind and can hear very well and seek is deaf and can see almost anywhere! So if seek infected figure it would basically be super hard to beat that door(s) 💀
unfortunately, the devs confirmed figure will never get eyes/be able to see. so fortunately this won’t happen. (unfortunately because would’ve been cool, but fortunately because would’ve been too hard.)
I have a bit of a theory myself, mainly about snare. Redibles said that snare’s entire body goes throughout the hotel. In the tower heroes collab, on the max upgrade for el goblino, he places down meat traps (the previous traps being snare) they are the lumps of meat seen in the hotel and mines but have spikes. A theory I had for a while was that the meat was snare’s body. Seeing as what we’ve seen from seek now and how it can split itself into multiple, maybe snare can do the same. Also, figure has teeth, identical to snare’s spikes, what I’m saying is, maybe figure is snare, here’s an explanation; figure has a rib cage, what if the snare entity took over a dead corpse and used its bone structure to create a sort of body. That would explain the sharp teeth in figure’s round mouth looking identical to snare’s. Additionally, figure doesn’t have eyes and neither does snare, my conclusion Snare = Meat + Skeleton = Figure
OH! That must be why Figure produces light! Maybe to give Snare light to photosynthesize into energy, since they live in a place where it’s eternally dark, they wouldn’t grow very big.
so if both seek and figure/snare can be at mutliple places at once IF this theory is true then figure could be the one to kill off seek but snare does have limitations like it can't move, aside from figure.
Oh yeah and for the people that saw the comment I put on the other video, here’s the full theory and breakdown: (Just saying before this I’m assuming that other entities will be taken over by seek, so they could appear at door 300 too) By the last 10 doors of floor 3, guiding light’s power will lessen, and it will no longer be able to control as much. We’ll see a final seek chase in these last doors, which will be pretty difficult as a crescendo to door 300 We will go through the door to get to door 299, and guiding light will attempt to shut the door on seek, but it ultimately fail as seek bangs on the door ferociously. Seek will barge through the door, and figure will be there. Figure becomes immediately angry, and storms towards seek. Seek summons more of its goop and there will be a small cutscene between seek and figure. Neither one of them can overpower the other, and you have to run into door 300. This is where the fun begins They will be fighting on the roof of the castle, until the infected queen grumble appears. It proceeds to destroy figure and leave him on the ground, motionless (he’s dead if you couldn’t guess). Seek infects him and [insert seek/figure name here] (btw I’m thinking of something like sigil, silence or swallow). There will be a seek eye in figures mouth, and it can see and hear excellently. The only safe place to hide is in a crouching zone, like a vent. The player has to lower ropes down and open the drawbridge to escape, whilst being hunted down by figure/seek. Have fun with this ridiculously long theory!
I like to think figure is just slightly behind us after we enter the castle Another fun thing to think about is if another theory is right (seek vs grumbles war) then figure will probably get infected in the crossfire to help seek infect more grumbles/giggles
figure destroys anything that makes noise, whether it's a player, a giggle, gloombats, or a clock. and seeing how seek screams and has loud footsteps, i think figure will instinctively try to kill seek, and will fail.
@@coinckwac120 yeah, that's what i mean. but in other forms, seek will likely make other noise. even when moving as a blob, there would probably be slimy sounds. i don't think seek can avoid making noise.
I dont think figure will be infected. Probably a great interaction will occur but figure would probably be able to kill any minions seek tries to throw at her. Even then infection would be hard if figure does shed her outer flesh, effectively just dumping any infections off. Seek needs an entity to be at least partially alive to infect it as evidence from screech so it's either seek will dissolve figure or only temporarily control her.
I've had a theory that figure has control over the hotel and pretty much guards the lower levels judging by how hes the only entity without eyes and pretty much when hes in the hotel he has like control over it but when hes in the mines he doesn't have control over that and then it'd be stupid for seek to kill figure when hes already been guarding the first floor preventing people from getting to the mines and draining dam seek because dam seek is like seeks main source of like the seek goo but i just don't have enough evidence to prove this but you can definitely see what i mean here
@@Newid1979 not exactly because once again we know that figure originates from the mines because of how he eats gloom bats the mines are a place where he doesn't have power so if this fight were to happen I'd guess it'd have to be on like floor 6 or 7 like really far into the series why those floors because if figure originated from the mines and seek hasn't came after him there would have to be a event that happens in floor 3 specifically that makes seek snap for some reason
This may be very unrelated to the video's topic. So the infamous number 13 as an easter egg appeared on almost every single thing that is and was shown in Doors. it’s probably to just make the game look cool, because 13 is a bad, unlucky number & whatnot, so you get the spooky monster at the spooky door 13. and i think they stick with it in trailers & stuff because it’s probably a mini-tradition for them. basically, i doubt it has any lore to it.
DOORS likes to target specific phobias in various different ways. Nyctophobia (dark rooms), fear of being watched (Seek eyes), trypophobia (Rush and Dread’s designs), claustrophobia (vents), etc. The thirteen is for triscadecaphobia, fear of the number 13. There’s not much significance beyond that.
I have a feeling that Figure could get corrupted by seek, but could end up being strong enough to fight it off somehow. My prediction is that while the player has to deal with a new seek boss fight that consists of a corrupt figure, they have to get the seek goo off of figure, as their forces together could pose as a much larger threat.
Wait a second, since the main antagonist of floor 1 (figure) appears as a minor character in floor 2, then would infected grumble do the same in floor 3? It would be pretty cool if there were outside rooms with a goo-filled river where you’ve got to jump on crates to avoid infected grumble as it chases you! Also maybe it could rain goo too as a cool visual feature (do I get my yapping license now cheddar?)
4:33 what also proves this theory is that figure and seek have both been final bosses at the end of the game for the players to face. I wouldn’t be surprised if they collide in door 300

For some reason I imagine a cutscene where Seek’s hand grabs Figure, then drags it unknowingly, making the players question if it’s infected by Seek or not, but is actually trying to avoid Figure from staying in the conflict, so Seek can take all the control itself. (Dunno if this makes sense but I found this an interesting idea.)
It’d be cool AF if during the floor 3 cutscene for door 50 we open a door and figure appears and tries to attack us, but then some seek good latches on to him and he starts writhing before getting corrupted by seek. But, since figure is one of the stronger entities, he’ll resist seek a little bit-making him half corrupted in a way. During the gameplay segment figure-seek will chase the players and will almost always know where they are based on seeks eyes which will fill the entire level and because of figures hearing, making them quite dangerous and requiring players to be quiet and hide behind objects when traversing the level to do an objective. But figure-seek will have a weakness, since they are both fighting to control the body, they will be slower and will make more shambling movements, which will look creepy, making the game scarier and will also decrease the difficulty a little because otherwise it would be way too hard.
If seek corrupts figure he would be a combination of watcher and himself meaning he could see and hear. Also I have a theory he would be called silence cuz all infected entities names start with an S just like seek does (he would probably have a seek eye in his mouth)

What if.... Seek was created by red light from water, because after you beat the 195 seek chase and get a water room (if you are lucky), you will see that the water is black. However, as soon as guiding light seals the door and possibly defeats red light, the black water becomes regular water. Maybe seek is just water possessed by red light.
Then maybe the red light puts harmful chemicals into the water and theres another chemical that makes it look and sound like slime. And the harmful chemical is what causes the seek goop at door 200 to damage us.
Probably not. It's natural consistency is way too goopy to be water, and the infection proves this. Any part of seek that infects something doesn't appear to be part of the hivemind anymore. When the infected creature dies the seek goop inside them just puddles inanimately, since even after death seek doesn't share a conscious link anymore, as seen with the screech puddles, not just turning into water. Also if I'm interpreting that one line from curious light correctly, all of the lights get their information about entities from that "she" it mentioned, (us makes more sense as a species or group of individuals since lights seem rather independent with the exclusion of guiding light) so it would be strange if a light got outside info for its own creation. I have noticed the water color before and its likely that seek can mix with water or that its just lighting.
el goblino has a dialogue about this; “if the water turns black, run!” so since seek is a slimy liquid, he can (probably) turn water into more of his slime stuff if nearby.
@@TheRealFedriko I'd imagine its not that he can infect water, but more that he can mix with it since he is a liquid. If he was capable of just absorbing water he could hop in the ocean and become a literal god in DAYS.

Someone I know thought that Seek was like a symbiote and that Figure was the host. Ig that could make sense cuz Seek is revealed to be the mass of goop and eyes and if he took off some of Figure's skin every time seeing how figure is almost humanoid, but idk.
Okay, it was a bit weird to hear that Seek and Figure "interacted", only to find out that these are just cases of them being/having been in the same area. The interpretation sounds interesting though. If liquid Starlight is as important as I think it is, not only can it be tied to the cultivation of the herb of Viridis, the creation of vitamins, the huge growth shown by the vine plant, and Giggles growing up into Grumbles, but it can also explain Figure's origins. Figure looks like he's made of dead meat, bones, and teeth, and the yellow glow coming out of his mouth looks very similar to our own yellow grow while under the effects of Starlight. All of this suggests that after seeing how Starlight could cause growth (vines, Giggle to Grumble), and how it could heal fast (herb, band-aids), Figure must've been made as an experiment to bring dead flesh back to life. It didn't quite work, but Figure is a creature fighting for its own survival now. Figure can't grow like the vines, or Giggle, because those two needed to have been exposed to Starlight their whole lives, whereas Figure was just injected with the stuff, and also most likely wasn't alive. Now, Figure is trying to find Starlight to stay alive. Whenever he consumes the stuff, his flesh grows, but it sheds off because it's still mostly rotting, dead tissue. Figure's glow comes through his mouth, since he is unlikely to have normal circulation. Notice the crate in Figure's corner in room 100? I think that's where something Starlight-related must be, you can see these crates in some parts of the Hotel, and more importantly, all over the Mines. I think Seek is after this stuff too, as it would allow the goo to expand immensely, potentially allowing it to consume everything. Screeches having been covered in Seek's goo shows that Seek tried to get Starlight by infiltrating the Giggle population, using Screeches to get fed, then take it to Seek. But the Grumbles could sense Screeches not being their own, so they got swatted into the clumps of Screech-goo we see in the nest. Btw this can also explain why Screech still has Giggle's playfulness (trying to pull a prank), but Screech also chickens out once spotted, having learned from the mistakes of the other Screeches that got swatted into the ground. Given that Figure most likely needs Starlight very often, he's a valid target for Seek.
Imagine if there is a cutcene where Figure is about to kill you but Guiding Light possesses him and help you, then the light from his mouth turns blue and sparkling.
hmm well i know more about seek bc he is the third architect in doors bc there is a red aura around him and figure has a yellow glowing eye that seems the same as curious light so if they were to merge it would be two architects in one and they would kinda be against guideing light so i think that if seek and figure were to merge it wloud be the hardest boss in doors bc it would be two of the strongest monsters in the world of doors and the two architects witch are both so strong so that we would be death for us
Maybe Figure would let itself get infected but not for long, as they can't try to fuse for long as the three architects dislike this fusion and will try to separate them, so like an boss fight, where we NEED TO HIDE AND RUN one moment from an mix of both into one creature and then from both but separated
One thing I’ve always wondered about screech is that if he is an infected version of giggle. Then why does he have two extra tentacles? And also, how is he able to fly?
its probably a giggle that is a bit mature, since screeches has more teeth than giggle.. screech is more like species not just one screech but more, its probably able to fly bc of seek to attack the grumbles may thats why we have screechs dead bodies in door 150
@@lucasmatthiessen1570 yes, he is. While it could be argued as laziness on the devs' behalf, Seek walks on air during both Floor 2 Mines chases. Also, it has been basically confirmed by the devs, in-game lore and theories that screeches are just infected giggles. Also, it's fictional, it wouldn't really be a stretch to assume Seek has superhuman abilities, like letting screeches fly. Also, it can easily grow 2 extra tentacles. Seek's goo can make arms, and the giant hivemind that is the Seek Dam, so why can't it make extra tentacles? Also, pretty sure Grumbles can fly, so maybe Screech is the age between giggles and grumbles, allowing him to fly like the grumbles?
I’m calling it right now, seek is gonna transform into a dragon form at the end of floor 3. Think about it, castles are set in medieval times, what else are form medieval times? Dragons! Plus, dragons are commonly seen attacking and/or flying around castles so it would make a lot of sense for seek to transform into a dragon as the final boss of floor 3. Plus, he’d probably breathe red fire because of his red glow
I think I know what will happen, it’ll be a cutscene, where figure is about to kill us and we can’t do anything about it, but then figure will hear seek goop noises and he will jump into the goop, causing him to see and be possessed and chasing us. But hey, that’s just an idea, A GAME IDEA!
Figure and seek could be related: seek can go wherever his goop is, and there is a possibility with Figure that he can warp using the meat piles you sometimes see around the hotel, as in door 100 in the area you see Figure come out of, if you go up there, it is only a tiny section will meat piles there, which leads most people to believe he gets around using the meat piles. I think it is likely Seek will capture Figure, as Seek has already captured other entities, such as Giggles and now the Queen Grumble. At this point it seems Seek has had enough, and one other reason Figure could be captured is because the devs are trying to show really how powerful Seek is.
Seeing the figure meat laying on the walls of the entrance to the Castle/Mansion, safe to say I’m very excited to see what they do with Figure’s story in Floor 3 considering his slight absence in Floor 2.
This Is actually a pretty great theory, i was already thinking something like this could happen in floor 3. I Imagine that at a certain point of the floor there Will be a cutscene where Seek infects Figure, and After that Figure would grow a Seek's Eye, and would be starting to chase you, effectivly replacing Seek in the Chase.
i wouldn't say any of those cases mean anything, and figure being merged with seek wouldn't really make sense, because figure has been told to be the most important entity in the game by devs, so it wouldn't make sense why seek (a lesser important entity) would take over a more important entity - meat at the castle just was there, seek was killing queen grumble. meat isn't figure, just tied to him in some way - the eyes on the meat in the lobby, most likely don't mean anything, as you're not meant to see anything past the barricades due to it being dark to begin with, so they probably just put it there for some walls - seek eyes being at the electrical room is him just watching you go down the elevator, not interacting with figure at all i do like the idea of seek and figure being in the same area for the player to evade both at some point. figure is animalistic, though, and probably wouldn't work with seek on purpose. seek, i dunno, maybe he could try and kill or assimilate figure, but figure could most likely break out, if he could break out of the chains from the crucifix
Seek can become anything it wants to as long as it has enough mass, therefore it does not need to infect figure. It only infected the queen grumble to weaken the other grumbles. Seeks eyes were present at the elevator as a hint in order to show that the main boss was seek, the figure flesh is the same. Seek and figure are very similar because they both rise out of some sort of pile. You can see figure parts on the way to door 100.
I actually want seek to try to corrupt figure, but like he isn't able to completely corrupt him because he doesn't have the goo required at that given instance and figure is very powerfull and rips the goo off from his body.. But seeks eye remains at top of the figure which gives the figure sight and the ability to see us and then he charges at us and he chases us down at lightning speeds during the seek chase. Pick-able vitamins or any other new item that will increase speed can be found, and guiding light will mark them . If you don't take them during the chase , the figure will catch up to you and kill you
Seek is a hivemind which is made out of eyes, black goo and red goo/light. It can spread wherever it wants and it can spread into the mind of other entities to control them (seek is a humanoid creation with 1 eye).
This is what I think, when the first seek chase starts in floor 3 bro screams so Hella loud this made figure jump on top of him and devouring him making figure and seek become one
Actuly there is a theory going around were that they are teaming up aginst the grumble army this theory takes place because seek infects the giggles and on the other side figure crushes them but I think this theory is invalide because seek would never team up rather he hates every entatiy and wants to infect them and figure just kills whatever that makes sound that would be the giggles giggling but this theory would be pretty intressing to talk about.
What if seek and figure don’t try killing each other, but work together. Figure is to strong to die, seek is too strong to stop, an immovable object and an unstoppable force. I hope we see a double chase from both of them(not infected figure)
i sort of hope that floor 3 shows more of the origins of how figure was made to be and how he was there at one point, only because of the fact that figure is in the mines, like the figure being in floor 3 would suck because it makes no sense, how would he have gotten out of the mines it would just feel more of a stretch to put the figure into floor 3, because it doesn’t feel possible that figure could’ve stumbled out of the mines, coincidentally towards the castle and back into the same room as us when we play floor 3 when it releases if figure does reappear, it’d be better if he did at floor 4+, since he would have time to find his way back
Cheddar one thing you haven’t looked into is timing 1. Figure may have gone there before, like you said, festering meat piles exist after figures goes through meaning for the 2 indirect times may have just been a quinsidence and plus for the castles, only figure has been there before, we brought seek to the castle. And for the electrical room, seek and figure do not interact, seek is only present above the elevator while figure is only present in the electrical room.
i have an idea: imagine figure dies in floor 3, i feel like it would make good reactions, a good plot and figure is boring now anyway, since it has the same formula, find item beat door

if your theory that figure can transform and teleport to different places with the meat/rubble, then doesn’t that mean they have technically already merged? it’s just that figure can only move with the meat/rubble
I suspect that the figure gets "levels" in which the second "level" is a black figure, perhaps in floor 4 there is a black figure with bone spikes (just my theorie) But yours is really interesting too!
i think seek had eyes in door 100 cause 1. its not 100% sure that figure and seek want to fight they may be friends and are working together to stop us and will merge not by seek trying to infect figure by them relising with there powers together they can take over the hotel 2 . seek has eyes at figures room cause not only hes tryng to see figures power but also wants to see his weaknesses so he can ambush him and infect him cause he knows he cant beat figure in a fare 1v1 combat those are my theories
He probably can beat Figure in a fair 1v1 combat, as long as he has distance. He just needs to summon an arm or something through the wall to grab Figure, and Figure is cooked.
i feel like even after figure gets infected if he does at all, he will not let it slide possibly fighting back the infection that the grumbles couldn't
I think the reason figure hasn’t been infected by seek yet is because he *may* possess the ability to shed his flesh. So if he was infected the infected parts would have been shedded off.
I have always wondered if seek could infect figure. It's clearly biological but its not exactly an orthodox organism either, so the answer is reduced to probably, however the two can only graze by each other for so long. Seek seems to be after you specifically (perhaps humans are in some way important to infect) and figure seems to just be a menace that attacks anything it knows is alive, so I'd imagine seek would only try if figure was being antagonistic to either us or it, or if it saw an opportunity for some reason. Frankly I don't think it would see a need to since seek could always come together to form the same shape as figure or something more practical without losing out on hiveminding that piece of itself as seen with dead screeches. From the way it pounds on that door its clearly strong enough when transformed. We can see it chooses this already since there's a very high chance it could've infected the grumbles with little issue. Remember, the only reason we haven't had to deal with a "figure with eyes" is because whenever we do encounter seek, we always get the chance to run instead of be trapped in a room with it, like the library or the electrical room.
I think Figure will keep going strong (in the Dantes layers of hell theory and i will simply put it underneath my thought) until the last layer where Seek's true form will be and on that layer figure will succumb to the Goo and Seek will test this form and see if it is good The theory is about Doors floors being like Dantes Inferno/Circles of hell where he describes the Layers of hell where there is 9 Circles and the evidence for this resides in Dante's idea for Limbo is a castle with a moat and a bridge which Floor 3 looked like from the Mines exiting.
I also had this idea and find the thought of Figure with a Seek eye in the middle of his mouth cool, unfortanautly I believe the devs said at some point that Figure will never be gaining eyes :/ Also on the topic of Seek, am I the only one that feels like Rush is an infected Ambush? Ik they look pretty different but I still hold onto the headcannon.
i dont think that makes sense because rush a ghost entity like halt and eyes not a monster entity like gloombats or figure if you think about it all ghost entities never bite the player or eat the player instead they just go through the player so maybe ghost entities cant touch players or any physical entity so that would mean seek cant infect rush because he is untouchable
This kinda makes me wonder. Why DID the queen grumble chase after us at the end? She could've just chilled after we left the nest. Was she mad we got out of the nest alive? Or could she have still viewed us as a threat
How I always saw it was that she saw that we "easily" got past all of the Grumbles and made it out of the nest on top of also making use of their weakness towards light and even potentially using a crucifix on them. This to her means that if we were to attempt to destroy all the Giggles residing there or try to raid it, there would be nothing they could do. She doesn't know that we aren't coming back, so the only option was for her to pursue and eliminate us. Of course it was clearly her biggest mistake and caused more harm than good...
fun fact!: seek hasnt interacted with figure 3 times. but 4 times! when we see figure for the second time in floor 2 he is covered in seek goop if you look closely
They did interact at the end of floor 1. If u would have wen out of bounds, u would see that while ur going down the elevator, figure stares at seek's eye, before dropping down.
Ive been thinking about this, even before floor 2. You still crouch due to the figure. And once you get spotted.. seek screams or something and alarms figure that your there.
I actually genuinely thought that beating floor 1 after the update and going to floor 2 would trigger a cutscene where Seek goop finds Figures dead body (I assumed that figure died from the impact in the lil hole we see him in) and rebuild him.
Everyone lools at the seek-grumble war (which in of itself is quite flawed as a theory) and goes “omg what if seek infects figure” and doesn’t consider them working together _willingly_
if they refuse to give, we’re cooked because that means figure would have eyes which is horrifying because he’s super fast super strong and tears us apart easily
I do not think that figure will be infected by seek. The doors are currently controlled by three main lights, guiding light, curious light, and mischievous light. Guiding light helps the player. Mischievous light helps seek based on the red glow constantly around him. And curious light has taken a liking to the figure based on the yellow light constantly seen in his mouth. Basically, seek can beat the grumbles so easily because he doesn’t have a light helping him. Figure on the other hand, does. If figure is infected I don’t believe seek will be able to do it alone. I think either the queen grumble or someone else will need to help him.
In the lights video you theorized that mischievous light is in seek and curious light is in figure. If seek tried to infect figure what would happen to curious light?

Figure is one of the strongest entities in the game, probably stronger than seek. So I doubt seek will fully corrupt figure, Maybe they are both somewhat in control maybe seek 90% and figure 10% (figure can probably only turn his face light on and off) so maybe we have to sneak up behind them, and get the goop off of figure, and each time we get some off, a new entity spawns called a seeklet. (or just mini seek) how they would work is they run around the room and if they catch you, they latch on to you. With each mini seek latching on, your screen gets more covered and you get different effects, and if 8 mini seeks latch on to you, you die. If you get all the goo of figure, then maybe he will be happy and not try to kill you anymore (seek will still be angry)
Did you ever have the theory that figure and seek are the same. Figure is probably a dried-out version of seek himself. But something happened that made figure the way he is. Seek is probably stalking him so he can figure out how to turn him back. So, all the "flesh" you see isn't flesh its figures old form. Only reason why you can see him walking through it too. So ill like you to look this theory though because I may be Right.
You know how the grumbles dug up to try and catch the player one last time? Seek has the teleportation of halt. Figure has the strength of well, every entity that one shots. If they merge, Figure will be faster, have its senses heightened, and be able to see. It will also be able to teleport, and corrupt things.

I have a bit of a theory myself, mainly about snare. Redibles said that snare’s entire body goes throughout the hotel. In the tower heroes collab, on the max upgrade for el goblino, he places down meat traps (the previous traps being snare) they are the lumps of meat seen in the hotel and mines but have spikes. A theory I had for a while was that the meat was snare’s body. Seeing as what we’ve seen from seek now and how it can split itself into multiple, maybe snare can do the same. Also, figure has teeth, identical to snare’s spikes, what I’m saying is, maybe figure is snare, here’s an explanation; figure has a rib cage, what if the snare entity took over a dead corpse and used its bone structure to create a sort of body. That would explain the sharp teeth in figure’s round mouth looking identical to snare’s. Additionally, figure doesn’t have eyes and neither does snare, my conclusion Snare = Meat + Skeleton = Figure
OH! That must be why Figure produces light! Maybe to give Snare light to photosynthesize into energy, since they live in a place where it’s eternally dark, they wouldn’t grow very big.
so if both seek and figure/snare can be at mutliple places at once IF this theory is true then figure could be the one to kill off seek but snare does have limitations like it can't move, aside from figure.

Oh yeah and for the people that saw the comment I put on the other video, here’s the full theory and breakdown:
(Just saying before this I’m assuming that other entities will be taken over by seek, so they could appear at door 300 too)
By the last 10 doors of floor 3, guiding light’s power will lessen, and it will no longer be able to control as much. We’ll see a final seek chase in these last doors, which will be pretty difficult as a crescendo to door 300
We will go through the door to get to door 299, and guiding light will attempt to shut the door on seek, but it ultimately fail as seek bangs on the door ferociously. Seek will barge through the door, and figure will be there.
Figure becomes immediately angry, and storms towards seek. Seek summons more of its goop and there will be a small cutscene between seek and figure. Neither one of them can overpower the other, and you have to run into door 300. This is where the fun begins
They will be fighting on the roof of the castle, until the infected queen grumble appears. It proceeds to destroy figure and leave him on the ground, motionless (he’s dead if you couldn’t guess). Seek infects him and [insert seek/figure name here] (btw I’m thinking of something like sigil, silence or swallow).
There will be a seek eye in figures mouth, and it can see and hear excellently. The only safe place to hide is in a crouching zone, like a vent. The player has to lower ropes down and open the drawbridge to escape, whilst being hunted down by figure/seek.
Have fun with this ridiculously long theory!

figure destroys anything that makes noise, whether it's a player, a giggle, gloombats, or a clock. and seeing how seek screams and has loud footsteps, i think figure will instinctively try to kill seek, and will fail.

I dont think figure will be infected. Probably a great interaction will occur but figure would probably be able to kill any minions seek tries to throw at her. Even then infection would be hard if figure does shed her outer flesh, effectively just dumping any infections off. Seek needs an entity to be at least partially alive to infect it as evidence from screech so it's either seek will dissolve figure or only temporarily control her.
Before any retorts I'd like to add that we flushed away most of seek's mass so it'd be even harder for it to infect figure.

I've had a theory that figure has control over the hotel and pretty much guards the lower levels judging by how hes the only entity without eyes and pretty much when hes in the hotel he has like control over it but when hes in the mines he doesn't have control over that and then it'd be stupid for seek to kill figure when hes already been guarding the first floor preventing people from getting to the mines and draining dam seek because dam seek is like seeks main source of like the seek goo but i just don't have enough evidence to prove this but you can definitely see what i mean here

it’s probably to just make the game look cool, because 13 is a bad, unlucky number & whatnot, so you get the spooky monster at the spooky door 13. and i think they stick with it in trailers & stuff because it’s probably a mini-tradition for them. basically, i doubt it has any lore to it.
DOORS likes to target specific phobias in various different ways. Nyctophobia (dark rooms), fear of being watched (Seek eyes), trypophobia (Rush and Dread’s designs), claustrophobia (vents), etc.
The thirteen is for triscadecaphobia, fear of the number 13. There’s not much significance beyond that.

I have a feeling that Figure could get corrupted by seek, but could end up being strong enough to fight it off somehow.
My prediction is that while the player has to deal with a new seek boss fight that consists of a corrupt figure, they have to get the seek goo off of figure, as their forces together could pose as a much larger threat.
Wait a second, since the main antagonist of floor 1 (figure) appears as a minor character in floor 2, then would infected grumble do the same in floor 3? It would be pretty cool if there were outside rooms with a goo-filled river where you’ve got to jump on crates to avoid infected grumble as it chases you! Also maybe it could rain goo too as a cool visual feature (do I get my yapping license now cheddar?)

For some reason I imagine a cutscene where Seek’s hand grabs Figure, then drags it unknowingly, making the players question if it’s infected by Seek or not, but is actually trying to avoid Figure from staying in the conflict, so Seek can take all the control itself.

It’d be cool AF if during the floor 3 cutscene for door 50 we open a door and figure appears and tries to attack us, but then some seek good latches on to him and he starts writhing before getting corrupted by seek. But, since figure is one of the stronger entities, he’ll resist seek a little bit-making him half corrupted in a way. During the gameplay segment figure-seek will chase the players and will almost always know where they are based on seeks eyes which will fill the entire level and because of figures hearing, making them quite dangerous and requiring players to be quiet and hide behind objects when traversing the level to do an objective. But figure-seek will have a weakness, since they are both fighting to control the body, they will be slower and will make more shambling movements, which will look creepy, making the game scarier and will also decrease the difficulty a little because otherwise it would be way too hard.

This makes a lot of sense because the equivalent of seeks eyes in floor 2 is the festering meet in front of the castle.
What if.... Seek was created by red light from water, because after you beat the 195 seek chase and get a water room (if you are lucky), you will see that the water is black. However, as soon as guiding light seals the door and possibly defeats red light, the black water becomes regular water. Maybe seek is just water possessed by red light.
Then maybe the red light puts harmful chemicals into the water and theres another chemical that makes it look and sound like slime. And the harmful chemical is what causes the seek goop at door 200 to damage us.
Probably not. It's natural consistency is way too goopy to be water, and the infection proves this. Any part of seek that infects something doesn't appear to be part of the hivemind anymore. When the infected creature dies the seek goop inside them just puddles inanimately, since even after death seek doesn't share a conscious link anymore, as seen with the screech puddles, not just turning into water. Also if I'm interpreting that one line from curious light correctly, all of the lights get their information about entities from that "she" it mentioned, (us makes more sense as a species or group of individuals since lights seem rather independent with the exclusion of guiding light) so it would be strange if a light got outside info for its own creation.
I have noticed the water color before and its likely that seek can mix with water or that its just lighting.
el goblino has a dialogue about this; “if the water turns black, run!” so since seek is a slimy liquid, he can (probably) turn water into more of his slime stuff if nearby.

Someone I know thought that Seek was like a symbiote and that Figure was the host. Ig that could make sense cuz Seek is revealed to be the mass of goop and eyes and if he took off some of Figure's skin every time seeing how figure is almost humanoid, but idk.

Okay, it was a bit weird to hear that Seek and Figure "interacted", only to find out that these are just cases of them being/having been in the same area.
The interpretation sounds interesting though. If liquid Starlight is as important as I think it is, not only can it be tied to the cultivation of the herb of Viridis, the creation of vitamins, the huge growth shown by the vine plant, and Giggles growing up into Grumbles, but it can also explain Figure's origins. Figure looks like he's made of dead meat, bones, and teeth, and the yellow glow coming out of his mouth looks very similar to our own yellow grow while under the effects of Starlight. All of this suggests that after seeing how Starlight could cause growth (vines, Giggle to Grumble), and how it could heal fast (herb, band-aids), Figure must've been made as an experiment to bring dead flesh back to life. It didn't quite work, but Figure is a creature fighting for its own survival now. Figure can't grow like the vines, or Giggle, because those two needed to have been exposed to Starlight their whole lives, whereas Figure was just injected with the stuff, and also most likely wasn't alive. Now, Figure is trying to find Starlight to stay alive. Whenever he consumes the stuff, his flesh grows, but it sheds off because it's still mostly rotting, dead tissue. Figure's glow comes through his mouth, since he is unlikely to have normal circulation. Notice the crate in Figure's corner in room 100? I think that's where something Starlight-related must be, you can see these crates in some parts of the Hotel, and more importantly, all over the Mines.
I think Seek is after this stuff too, as it would allow the goo to expand immensely, potentially allowing it to consume everything. Screeches having been covered in Seek's goo shows that Seek tried to get Starlight by infiltrating the Giggle population, using Screeches to get fed, then take it to Seek. But the Grumbles could sense Screeches not being their own, so they got swatted into the clumps of Screech-goo we see in the nest. Btw this can also explain why Screech still has Giggle's playfulness (trying to pull a prank), but Screech also chickens out once spotted, having learned from the mistakes of the other Screeches that got swatted into the ground.
Given that Figure most likely needs Starlight very often, he's a valid target for Seek.
Imagine if there is a cutcene where Figure is about to kill you but Guiding Light possesses him and help you, then the light from his mouth turns blue and sparkling.

hmm well i know more about seek bc he is the third architect in doors bc there is a red aura around him and figure has a yellow glowing eye that seems the same as curious light so if they were to merge it would be two architects in one and they would kinda be against guideing light so i think that if seek and figure were to merge it wloud be the hardest boss in doors bc it would be two of the strongest monsters in the world of doors and the two architects witch are both so strong so that we would be death for us

its probably a giggle that is a bit mature, since screeches has more teeth than giggle.. screech is more like species not just one screech but more, its probably able to fly bc of seek to attack the grumbles may thats why we have screechs dead bodies in door 150

Also, it has been basically confirmed by the devs, in-game lore and theories that screeches are just infected giggles. Also, it's fictional, it wouldn't really be a stretch to assume Seek has superhuman abilities, like letting screeches fly. Also, it can easily grow 2 extra tentacles. Seek's goo can make arms, and the giant hivemind that is the Seek Dam, so why can't it make extra tentacles? Also, pretty sure Grumbles can fly, so maybe Screech is the age between giggles and grumbles, allowing him to fly like the grumbles?
I’m calling it right now, seek is gonna transform into a dragon form at the end of floor 3. Think about it, castles are set in medieval times, what else are form medieval times? Dragons! Plus, dragons are commonly seen attacking and/or flying around castles so it would make a lot of sense for seek to transform into a dragon as the final boss of floor 3. Plus, he’d probably breathe red fire because of his red glow
I think I know what will happen, it’ll be a cutscene, where figure is about to kill us and we can’t do anything about it, but then figure will hear seek goop noises and he will jump into the goop, causing him to see and be possessed and chasing us. But hey, that’s just an idea, A GAME IDEA!
Figure and seek could be related: seek can go wherever his goop is, and there is a possibility with Figure that he can warp using the meat piles you sometimes see around the hotel, as in door 100 in the area you see Figure come out of, if you go up there, it is only a tiny section will meat piles there, which leads most people to believe he gets around using the meat piles. I think it is likely Seek will capture Figure, as Seek has already captured other entities, such as Giggles and now the Queen Grumble. At this point it seems Seek has had enough, and one other reason Figure could be captured is because the devs are trying to show really how powerful Seek is.
Seeing the figure meat laying on the walls of the entrance to the Castle/Mansion, safe to say I’m very excited to see what they do with Figure’s story in Floor 3 considering his slight absence in Floor 2.
This Is actually a pretty great theory, i was already thinking something like this could happen in floor 3.
I Imagine that at a certain point of the floor there Will be a cutscene where Seek infects Figure, and After that Figure would grow a Seek's Eye, and would be starting to chase you, effectivly replacing Seek in the Chase.
i wouldn't say any of those cases mean anything, and figure being merged with seek wouldn't really make sense, because figure has been told to be the most important entity in the game by devs, so it wouldn't make sense why seek (a lesser important entity) would take over a more important entity
- meat at the castle just was there, seek was killing queen grumble. meat isn't figure, just tied to him in some way
- the eyes on the meat in the lobby, most likely don't mean anything, as you're not meant to see anything past the barricades due to it being dark to begin with, so they probably just put it there for some walls
- seek eyes being at the electrical room is him just watching you go down the elevator, not interacting with figure at all
i do like the idea of seek and figure being in the same area for the player to evade both at some point. figure is animalistic, though, and probably wouldn't work with seek on purpose. seek, i dunno, maybe he could try and kill or assimilate figure, but figure could most likely break out, if he could break out of the chains from the crucifix
Seek can become anything it wants to as long as it has enough mass, therefore it does not need to infect figure.

Seeks eyes were present at the elevator as a hint in order to show that the main boss was seek, the figure flesh is the same.
Seek and figure are very similar because they both rise out of some sort of pile. You can see figure parts on the way to door 100.
I actually want seek to try to corrupt figure, but like he isn't able to completely corrupt him because he doesn't have the goo required at that given instance and figure is very powerfull and rips the goo off from his body.. But seeks eye remains at top of the figure which gives the figure sight and the ability to see us and then he charges at us and he chases us down at lightning speeds during the seek chase.
Pick-able vitamins or any other new item that will increase speed can be found, and guiding light will mark them . If you don't take them during the chase , the figure will catch up to you and kill you

Seek is a hivemind which is made out of eyes, black goo and red goo/light. It can spread wherever it wants and it can spread into the mind of other entities to control them (seek is a humanoid creation with 1 eye).
This is what I think, when the first seek chase starts in floor 3 bro screams so Hella loud this made figure jump on top of him and devouring him making figure and seek become one
Actuly there is a theory going around were that they are teaming up aginst the grumble army this theory takes place because seek infects the giggles and on the other side figure crushes them but I think this theory is invalide because seek would never team up rather he hates every entatiy and wants to infect them and figure just kills whatever that makes sound that would be the giggles giggling but this theory would be pretty intressing to talk about.

1. Figure may have gone there before, like you said, festering meat piles exist after figures goes through meaning for the 2 indirect times may have just been a quinsidence and plus for the castles, only figure has been there before, we brought seek to the castle. And for the electrical room, seek and figure do not interact, seek is only present above the elevator while figure is only present in the electrical room.
Figure does go into the elevator room in the ending so technically they have "interacted"

I suspect that the figure gets "levels" in which the second "level" is a black figure, perhaps in floor 4 there is a black figure with bone spikes (just my theorie)

i think seek had eyes in door 100 cause
1. its not 100% sure that figure and seek want to fight they may be friends and are working together to stop us and will merge not by seek trying to infect figure by them relising with there powers together they can take over the hotel
2 . seek has eyes at figures room cause not only hes tryng to see figures power but also wants to see his weaknesses so he can ambush him and infect him cause he knows he cant beat figure in a fare 1v1 combat those are my theories
He probably can beat Figure in a fair 1v1 combat, as long as he has distance. He just needs to summon an arm or something through the wall to grab Figure, and Figure is cooked.
i feel like even after figure gets infected if he does at all, he will not let it slide possibly fighting back the infection that the grumbles couldn't

It would be cool if seek did infect figure and we had a final boss of Seek, Infected Figure and Infected Queen Grumble in floor 3.

I think the reason figure hasn’t been infected by seek yet is because he *may* possess the ability to shed his flesh. So if he was infected the infected parts would have been shedded off.
I have always wondered if seek could infect figure. It's clearly biological but its not exactly an orthodox organism either, so the answer is reduced to probably, however the two can only graze by each other for so long. Seek seems to be after you specifically (perhaps humans are in some way important to infect) and figure seems to just be a menace that attacks anything it knows is alive, so I'd imagine seek would only try if figure was being antagonistic to either us or it, or if it saw an opportunity for some reason. Frankly I don't think it would see a need to since seek could always come together to form the same shape as figure or something more practical without losing out on hiveminding that piece of itself as seen with dead screeches. From the way it pounds on that door its clearly strong enough when transformed. We can see it chooses this already since there's a very high chance it could've infected the grumbles with little issue. Remember, the only reason we haven't had to deal with a "figure with eyes" is because whenever we do encounter seek, we always get the chance to run instead of be trapped in a room with it, like the library or the electrical room.

I think Figure will keep going strong (in the Dantes layers of hell theory and i will simply put it underneath my thought) until the last layer where Seek's true form will be and on that layer figure will succumb to the Goo and Seek will test this form and see if it is good
The theory is about Doors floors being like Dantes Inferno/Circles of hell where he describes the Layers of hell where there is 9 Circles and the evidence for this resides in Dante's idea for Limbo is a castle with a moat and a bridge which Floor 3 looked like from the Mines exiting.
I also had this idea and find the thought of Figure with a Seek eye in the middle of his mouth cool, unfortanautly I believe the devs said at some point that Figure will never be gaining eyes :/
Also on the topic of Seek, am I the only one that feels like Rush is an infected Ambush? Ik they look pretty different but I still hold onto the headcannon.
i dont think that makes sense because rush a ghost entity like halt and eyes not a monster entity like gloombats or figure if you think about it all ghost entities never bite the player or eat the player instead they just go through the player so maybe ghost entities cant touch players or any physical entity so that would mean seek cant infect rush because he is untouchable

This kinda makes me wonder. Why DID the queen grumble chase after us at the end? She could've just chilled after we left the nest. Was she mad we got out of the nest alive? Or could she have still viewed us as a threat
How I always saw it was that she saw that we "easily" got past all of the Grumbles and made it out of the nest on top of also making use of their weakness towards light and even potentially using a crucifix on them. This to her means that if we were to attempt to destroy all the Giggles residing there or try to raid it, there would be nothing they could do. She doesn't know that we aren't coming back, so the only option was for her to pursue and eliminate us. Of course it was clearly her biggest mistake and caused more harm than good...

fun fact!: seek hasnt interacted with figure 3 times. but 4 times! when we see figure for the second time in floor 2 he is covered in seek goop if you look closely

They did interact at the end of floor 1. If u would have wen out of bounds, u would see that while ur going down the elevator, figure stares at seek's eye, before dropping down.

Ive been thinking about this, even before floor 2. You still crouch due to the figure. And once you get spotted.. seek screams or something and alarms figure that your there.
It will be sad cuz we will never see the true figure again forever.
It is the first true boss we encountered in the entire game
I actually genuinely thought that beating floor 1 after the update and going to floor 2 would trigger a cutscene where Seek goop finds Figures dead body (I assumed that figure died from the impact in the lil hole we see him in) and rebuild him.
Seek leads us to the library and electrical rooms through his chase scenes 🤯🤯🤯
Everyone lools at the seek-grumble war (which in of itself is quite flawed as a theory) and goes “omg what if seek infects figure” and doesn’t consider them working together _willingly_

if they refuse to give, we’re cooked because that means figure would have eyes which is horrifying because he’s super fast super strong and tears us apart easily
If this does happen I hope they work like those spotlight enemies in BATDR where if they see you you’re dead but they can’t hear.
I do not think that figure will be infected by seek.
The doors are currently controlled by three main lights, guiding light, curious light, and mischievous light. Guiding light helps the player. Mischievous light helps seek based on the red glow constantly around him. And curious light has taken a liking to the figure based on the yellow light constantly seen in his mouth. Basically, seek can beat the grumbles so easily because he doesn’t have a light helping him. Figure on the other hand, does. If figure is infected I don’t believe seek will be able to do it alone. I think either the queen grumble or someone else will need to help him.
In the lights video you theorized that mischievous light is in seek and curious light is in figure. If seek tried to infect figure what would happen to curious light?

Figure is one of the strongest entities in the game, probably stronger than seek. So I doubt seek will fully corrupt figure, Maybe they are both somewhat in control maybe seek 90% and figure 10% (figure can probably only turn his face light on and off) so maybe we have to sneak up behind them, and get the goop off of figure, and each time we get some off, a new entity spawns called a seeklet. (or just mini seek) how they would work is they run around the room and if they catch you, they latch on to you. With each mini seek latching on, your screen gets more covered and you get different effects, and if 8 mini seeks latch on to you, you die. If you get all the goo of figure, then maybe he will be happy and not try to kill you anymore (seek will still be angry)
Did you ever have the theory that figure and seek are the same. Figure is probably a dried-out version of seek himself. But something happened that made figure the way he is. Seek is probably stalking him so he can figure out how to turn him back. So, all the "flesh" you see isn't flesh its figures old form. Only reason why you can see him walking through it too. So ill like you to look this theory though because I may be Right.
I’ve been terrorizing this since the hotel plus update. I’ve literally made art how it would work room 350 in room 400.
You know how the grumbles dug up to try and catch the player one last time? What if figure follows the grumbles path or why doesn't he dig up he has a ton of potential or maybe hes just going to spawn in the castle like he has been doing in the mines he spawned in a diffeent room around door 170 or 180 and near the castle theres a ton of meat meaning we are probably going to see him again

Seek has the teleportation of halt.
Figure has the strength of well, every entity that one shots.
If they merge, Figure will be faster, have its senses heightened, and be able to see. It will also be able to teleport, and corrupt things.

@ Actually, seek is able to teleport, he’s able to manifest from the ground which is basically teleporting, also further into the hotel you encounter him again, and he AGAIN, manifests from the ground.
imagine before, we genuinely thought figure could solo seek because seek failed against a door
Seek alone is already the most powerful threat in the game and imagine Figure being able to see now 💀
If they fight, i hope they make a really cool cutscene for it.
