The message was good but missing the local church is insignificant if you miss the True Church. There are many who would love to be in the fellowship of a local church but cannot. Thank God we are saved by Grace, justified through faith, redeemed by His blood, secure in His Word, sealed with His Spirit and surely Kept by His power. I have nothing to bring; “ It is finished”. I will be Presented to the Father through the Son because of His death on the Cross and because of my receiving His finished work there as payment for my sin. Anything I do that leads me to believe that in so doing I gain God’s favor is “works”. He has done it all and receives all Glory. In reality, that in itself gives me a greater desire to “serve Him with all my heart” knowing “ it is He that worketh in me to do of His good pleasure”. The greatest sacrifice I can make is “the giving up of myself” to Him. I am totally His.
This “Oh Yeah” preacher in the back not listening to the message it’s alright to back up the Pastor but man let the message be preached I can hardly focus on the message through all that, great message though Pastor Ray!
The man in the back is listening and He is agreeing! Your focus should not be on the man in the back! The Pastor just said we should be witnesses and everyone praise is different!! The man may have more to praise God for than the people that is not saying a word!! Ask God to allow you to block out distractions and focus only on Him and His word! He will do it!!
Some of you go out of your way to find fault in anything, to go so far to to say the guy is not listening to the message is foul. Ask for a pure heart from the Lord
It said Thomas was "1" of the twelve, I didn't see "There" in the scripture...is "was not with them" referring to Thomas being a "doubter?... Doubting Thomas"...or he just wasn't in "church"?.... preachers throw words in their sermons that your lying eyes don't want to see.... I stopped listening after his first lie...

I just wanted clarification, you quoted what I'm questioning....in simple terms, have you ever been around your fellows and they wanted to do something stupid... and you said to them, "I'm not with you guys, or not with it", but you were there... just not going along with the scene of things.... maybe Thomas was always doubting but got the name later in scripture...

John 20:26 KJV This scripture should answer your question. Plus the fact that in vs24 it says that the disciples told Thomas that they saw Jesus. The only reason Thomas doubted was because he wasn't there to see for himself. The second time he was there and was able to see and handle Jesus for himself.

John 20:24-25 Thomas called Didymus was NOT WITH THEM the name doubting Thomas came from vs.25
