The only reviewer who I watch the entire content because u get straight to the facts about what people need to know and don’t give a damn what the fanboys think!
I love all your new gun content. Here is a change of pace idea. You should do top ten used gun buyer's guide. Top ten old school guns that you should buy if you can find them used.
Got my EP9 2 days after Christmas and shot 500rds through it already. What a fun gun! Mounted a red dot with 3x tiltable magnifier to it. Obsidian suppressor on the way. That was really a great recommendation, thank you 🙏
I got into guns at 34 yrs old last year, your channel informing most of my purchases; cmmg banshee 556 12.5" w/b&t print x can , shield plus pc, vp9 tac w/ Q erector9 can, bodyguard 2.0, mossberg 590, and the mosin nagant i did myself. 😂 thanks a ton for this channel man, it brought a brand new hobby and way of life to me this year and I'm loving every second of it! 🤘🤘🤘
Damn, that's a sweet collection in a short period of time. 😅 ..... I started shooting at the age of 10 (supervised by my father) and my best year was 3 Firearms.
Got my first gun 2024, educated largely from watching your videos. Went with S&W 9Z, guy kept trying to upsell me, but I stuck with that, and couldn't be happier.
@Reviews4fun1 its a FACT! I throw that thing in my pocket ALL the time in situations I wouldn't bother carrying otherwise. wish mine wasn't completely fucked on sight alignment from the factory. But it gave me an excuse to buy a sight pusher, which I would have want anyway.. gun runs great otherwise
Ah, not really. Many, many really good carry guns 'out there' that are reliable, effective and easy to carry everyday, all day..The S&W is a great gun but certainly not the only one...
Extar 9mm are amazing, does not feel like straight blow back. However, if you want to feel like a delayed blow back, you can find a compensator to shoots gas upward that extends past the handguard, the gun gas zero muzzle rise. I can't name the biggest auction site that has the brake/comp, but there are two makes of it, a 3 port and 4 port 9mm brakes, that both have an like a 1.5 inch uncyt metal length before the slits. The compnslits are on the top half of the brake only. Reduces recoil to zero, and causs thr tony muzzlenrise go to zero. If you are like me and need 0 recoil - I highly suggest looking on the biggest auction site for the.
I have had only 1 issue. The original firing pin jammed up with debris in the channel. No issues since changing to 2nd generation square firing pin. But I also now clean the FP channel with dental floss for bridges before a match
Chris, I only wish I was, or could run a firearm anywhere as fast as you. 67 years has me with weak eyes, scoped or otherwise. I can still run old school HK VP9 pretty well, but I'm a 45 1911 guy. Old age has its draw backs, wife's M&P40 works good too. 1st gen M&P Sport 556. My AR10 308 rocks for hunting deer, just not a race gun. Having a fixed income, having as much fun as you do, I wish I was 25 years younger. Keep up the good work. Makes a old guy feel young again.
Good idea, but unfortunately, every gun is different in what type it likes and shoots best with. Also, it depends on the shooter and how they manage the recoil, what you plan on using the type of ammo for, etc. We could have the same gun, and end up liking different ammo or saying this ammo shot better and you would say it sucked.
Agreed. I got it for 400 out of the door, and with LPVO, Driven Arms grip, and Strike Industries flat spring, this thing is the best value you can get. It also was stupid reliable for thousands of rounds
Always great reviews and great info. Surprised the SIG 226 X5 Legion and SIG MPX gen 3 didn't make the list. Your reviews on them were full of high praise.
Lol yes he is. He shills like the rest of them, though he does go far more in depth with the handgun content. Anyone who will talk up a PSA is a shill. Just is what it is.
Love that the Nighthawk got your first pick. Their my dream custom 1911 manufacturer, I don’t have one of their pistols but did replace almost all the parts on my Springfield Girson and it completely transformed the pistol, I love it
I love these videos, but also really appreciate the "tiered" versions as well. Best 10 guns from 2024 under $1k, etc... It's nice to see what variety there is at the different cost points, for people who might only be looking for a "truck gun" etc... or even for people looking for a high level gun, as you review plenty of guns over $2k as well.
Top 11 list? Very cool! I can always count on you for relevant and straightforward information while emphasizing affordable options. I hope you and Mrs. Outlaw are enjoying your new home and property. Keep up the good work and be safe. P.S. - Are you still affiliated with the YSS?
My tip for making the already buttery smooth Extar EP9 feel comprable to delayed blowback: If you want to your EP9 to feel like a delayed blowback, you can find a 1/2 x 28 9mm compensator that shoots gas upward and sideways only (none down), and that actually extends past the handguard (the harder thing to find). This comp/brake is only found on that auction site we all know, but makes the gun have effectively zero muzzle rise and nearly no recoil. This specific brake/comp has two makes, a 3 port and 4 port - both have gave approx a 1.5 inch ubcut metal-length before the upward-half-only slits are cut into it horizontally. They reduce the tiny amount of recoil to zero, and negligible muzzle rise go to zero (which is what I needed). If you are like me and need 0 recoil - I highly suggest looking on the biggest auction site for the 3 and 4 port brakes and just browse until you see the model then clearly has enough metal to extend past the overhanging handguard. Then you will loke you're using delayed blowback almost (cans also seem to do this).
Ruger and Smith & Wesson well represented here. I’m a Ruger fanboy have been since I was 18 and bought my first rifle a Ruger 10/22 and my first pistol when I turned 21 a Ruger P89. And here lately it just seems Smith can’t miss. Everything they put out has been great.
Hey, Outlaw. I think you should add a category in your "Best of the year" videos where a firearm from the previous year you didn't like may have seen improvements in manufacturing or reliability and deserves a different rating and/or notice.
I love that you put the most expensive gun on the top. Not because it is the most expensive, but simply because it was the best. I agree we live in the golden age of firearms, but let's be real here, if you wanna have the best, if you are aiming for that last 5-10% of performance, you're not gonna get it for 700usd. Seems obvious, but somehow I have a feeling that people are getting biased / ashamed if they pick something very expensive nowadays. You are not, and that's great. ;)
I bought the Bodyguard 2.0 based on your Video, after owning every generation of the LCP. I thought the LCP Max was as good as a pocket 380 goes, I was wrong. The Bodyguard blew it out of the water in every consideration.
I haven't seen a video about storage; do you have one talking about huge safes vs bedside, etc? I'm just getting into the community and this variety of videos has been excellent to learn!
Love this stuff as always. Keep the lists coming for sure (would love an updated 'best do it all' defense + CCW pistol). Another type of video I think people have been dying for is more comparison type videos. IE between the Bul Armory and Staccato (and maybe Prodigy?), and then what in your opinion would make the differences worth the cost. Walther PDP vs Smith 2.0 compact etc. Lastly if you could get CZ to figure their lives out and get them to release an optics-ready P-O1 I'll buy us both one.
Cool to see the TTI make the list I bought it based off your review and a few others. Was a little worried after people started to say there was problems with it but I haven’t run into any of them
I love your channel. When i first started out around 6 years ago, i had less than basic knowledge of firearms which led me to buy a sccy 😢. First trip to the range and i began researching 😂. After buying my Canik tp9 elite sc (4th purchase), I did more research because i couldn't believe no one was talking about it. I ran across your page and never looked back. You've convinced me to by an m&p shield 2.0 and extar ep9. I would love if you tried more budget guns 2025. Gforce blade6 is a great 1. Taurus gx2 is pretty good as well and dy9. I will try to start a page of my own to share my knowledge and opinions and show off my collection 😊. Thank you for all your videos and I appreciate your honesty.
Thanks for this video. You always have good information and advice on guns of all kinds. Keep up the good work. I always learn something watching your videos.
me here hoping to see the mc9ls (my first pistol) after buying it based off your review and "basically any canik" tier list xD I GUESS I'll get the TTI as well :3 who woulda thought getting into handguns was going to drain the wallet so hard and so fast! thanks for all the great content
Awesome as usual, I just got a TTI black Friday for $750 I been loving it and just sent it out to get barrel ported in the top windows cut 👍 my Extar has been flawless , thanks for the recommendation 🙏, when is Mrs honest making her top 10 ?
I have the arv and have had so many issues with feeding. Factory mags magpul mags cz mags all using basic range ammo. I wanted that thing to run so bad
Bought a Canik Elite SC and PDP this year from your recommendations. The PDP Pro SD Compact 4.6” with PMM comp and ZR Tactical 15# guide rod may be the best bang for the buck pistol out there. $100 cheaper than the Pro X and shoots perfectly flat. You should try it. 699 with optic last month. 175 for both add-ons. Simply Phenomenal
Chris, you crack me up. "If you don't like the Sand Hawk Kimber let me know in the comments and I will tell you that you are wrong". That is good. Another good video!
Love your Top 10 videos!!! Im 19yo and recently moved into my own place...Would love to see the guns you would be able to put together for home defense or car defense as i myself wouldnt be able to go out and purchase any handgun
I had high hopes for the TTI until I had a bunch of issues with it. After doing my research and seeing many others had the same issues I decided to sell it. Loved it when it worked but that wasn’t all the time.
2024 brought out so many good guns, it stopped me from buying any. A few are just a feature or two shy of perfect that i'll wait another few months for their "next gen" version instead of modifying or sacrificing now.
It was really hard for me to follow what guns these were because you went over the model name so fast. As a person not up on the latest gun models it would be helpful to leave the model nam graphic up longer and put a list of the gang in the description. Great list BTW
I’d like a top 5 pistols that will last a life time video if possible. With laws changing all the time some of us never know when our last purchase will really be the last purchase we can make lol, need a list of Pistols that will last a life time.
@honestoutlawreviews love your videos had to chime in The PDP PRO Acro is bit more because they include the Acro and I agree with you the Canik definitely fucks but goddamn I LOVE my PDP Pro Acro everything from great cowitness to factory installed optic deep in the slide and THE TRIGGER Jesus
Amazing selection of guns, I'm thinking about number four on your list for my next purchase. and I keep telling myself that I have enough for what I need, oh well.
Considering you are a large dude like myself (I’m 6’5” 275 with a 6’8” wingspan and wear XXL size gloves), a list of guns that are more comfortable for enormous human beings.
I have over 2,000 rounds through my Extar EP9 Gen-2 and Ruger 556 and these guns run as well as my Arsenal AK’s, Daniel Defense AR’s and SIG rifles for a fraction of the price

The only reviewer who I watch the entire content because u get straight to the facts about what people need to know and don’t give a damn what the fanboys think!
I agree I actually watch the entire videos he posts
Yep. I won't buy anything until I watch Chris's review of it. And these kinds of "Best of" videos... I use to make my "To buy" list. LOL
I love all your new gun content. Here is a change of pace idea. You should do top ten used gun buyer's guide. Top ten old school guns that you should buy if you can find them used.

Great Idea!
Fantastic idea
Love it
I like this idea. Tons of good used guns out there that have a lot of life left.
Got my EP9 2 days after Christmas and shot 500rds through it already. What a fun gun! Mounted a red dot with 3x tiltable magnifier to it. Obsidian suppressor on the way. That was really a great recommendation, thank you 🙏

You’re not very smart are you
Nice collection! Well done.
Damn, that's a sweet collection in a short period of time. 😅 ..... I started shooting at the age of 10 (supervised by my father) and my best year was 3 Firearms.
@mitchmoe6224 thanks man! Work hard play hard. I spend the little free time I have by doing whatever tf I want with it 🤣
Sweet collection brother. Welcome to the 2A community. Stay vigilant
Got my first gun 2024, educated largely from watching your videos. Went with S&W 9Z, guy kept trying to upsell me, but I stuck with that, and couldn't be happier.
What gun store tried to upsell you?
What’s the 9z ? Or do you mean the ez ? Either way you probably should have just bought the mp
Got my first handgun 2024, went with the m&p 2.0 carry comp. This guy’s videos are great and for sure motivated my decision!
@@aaronfox5559 hilarious that you can tell what gun someone should buy based on one comment
@ Tell me burn what the hell is a 9z?
Smith has had a banger of a year; came in and stole my money from everyone else.
They moved to TN and got cool again.
Bodyguard 2.0
It’s the one you’ll actually carry.
Small pistol you can take to the range and it wont feel like you hit your hand with a hammer. And it’s pretty dang accurate!
@Reviews4fun1 its a FACT! I throw that thing in my pocket ALL the time in situations I wouldn't bother carrying otherwise.
wish mine wasn't completely fucked on sight alignment from the factory. But it gave me an excuse to buy a sight pusher, which I would have want anyway.. gun runs great otherwise
i carry macro, even while running 13 miles.
Ah, not really. Many, many really good carry guns 'out there' that are reliable, effective and easy to carry everyday, all day..The S&W is a great gun but certainly not the only one...
Can attest. It's really easy to just throw in a pocket and go about your day.
The Extar is an amazing gun. It puts rounds where you aim it with very low recoil. I've never had a single issue in 2 years.
Got one on the way!
Extar 9mm are amazing, does not feel like straight blow back. Makes a old guy feel young again.
I'd like to see a video on how you would rank ammo. Brand, grain and what you like/dislike about them.
Because he wouldn’t want to give away how he shoots so fast. Recoil management starts at the ammo.
Radical RF15 5.56 NATO is $399-499 and comes with a great M-Lok front and is milled in house in Texas. Fantastic gun for the price.
Agreed. I got it for 400 out of the door, and with LPVO, Driven Arms grip, and Strike Industries flat spring, this thing is the best value you can get. It also was stupid reliable for thousands of rounds
Glad I got the smith and Wesson sport 3 this year. Its my first AR and has been helping me learn on the platform
Same here, decided at age 70 that if I wanted an AR, best go ahead and get one. Love the Sport III.
I've bought quite a few of your recommendations, and after this list there will be more lol. Awesome video as usual
Just got my extar about 2 weeks ago love it
So awesome to see how much your channel has grown. Best GunTuber!
“Go ahead and comment below and I’ll disagree with you” one my top 3 favorite guys in TH-cam 😂😂😂
Ruger came in swinging this past year.
One of my favourite channels this, really well presented and doesn't waffle on too much. Have a great 2025 👍
The lists, good and bad, are always fun to watch and compare to my list. Keep them coming as you can.
When he said “follow my X” I heard Ex… dude if you run off Mrs. outlaw we are taking her side. 😂
The best and most informative videos out there great content. Between honest outlaw and life with ob they keep me shooting
Staccato C was cost prohibitive but Nighthawk is #1 🤣🤣
Why do you think they call it dope
I was wondering that too. 😆
Right? 😂
Chris must have big pockets. I cant pocket carry the xmacro comp which is the same size as the axg.
Always great reviews and great info.
Surprised the SIG 226 X5 Legion and SIG MPX gen 3 didn't make the list. Your reviews on them were full of high praise.
Always great reviews and great information. Looking forward to 2025 content.
You mention the JP-5, but you should check out the Mean Arms upper. Can use of AR standard lowers unlike the JP-5, and also being used in PPC comps.
Only top 10 I watch…because dude isn’t bought and paid for by manufacturers. 🙌🙌🙌
They literally send him free, handpicked guns.
Except when he does olight 'reviews'

It's nice to see what variety there is at the different cost points, for people who might only be looking for a "truck gun" etc... or even for people looking for a high level gun, as you review plenty of guns over $2k as well.

Your review One of the main reasons I grabbed the rattler LT
The PSA ARV is about like the JAKL was a couple years ago, gonna check the website everyday to get one 👍

My tip for making the already buttery smooth Extar EP9 feel comprable to delayed blowback:
If you want to your EP9 to feel like a delayed blowback, you can find a 1/2 x 28 9mm compensator that shoots gas upward and sideways only (none down), and that actually extends past the handguard (the harder thing to find). This comp/brake is only found on that auction site we all know, but makes the gun have effectively zero muzzle rise and nearly no recoil.

Considering you are a large dude like myself (I’m 6’5” 275 with a 6’8” wingspan and wear XXL size gloves), a list of guns that are more comfortable for enormous human beings.
Awesome list I can vouch for the TTI Combat and PSA ARV solid choices

I have over 2,000 rounds through my Extar EP9 Gen-2 and Ruger 556 and these guns run as well as my Arsenal AK’s, Daniel Defense AR’s and SIG rifles for a fraction of the price
I have an ep9, body guard and the sport 3 so I guess I'm doing pretty well on this list. The tti combat is going to be picked up soon also.
