There are owners who are unable to brush their cat. When Fred first came to me, it was 10 years ago. Extremely matted, he doen´t let the owner brush him, because he bite and scratch. The owner and I both know he gets too stressed to shave. But unfortunately, clipping is the best option for him. We try to do it as quickly as possible. It's 10 minutes on the body part. He still always lets me groom his face with the scissors. Fred's owner is very careful, she has two or three other cats that let her brush their fur, so that's why she never brought them to groom. She always brings only Fred, who has this different behavior. She talks and gives Fred a lot of affection and is kind to him throughout the grooming. She loves her cat very much, one of the greatest lovers between owners and cats that I know. Unfortunately Fred is not very well behaved, he doesn't let her put the muzzle on, he bites the owner. We also tried to use another muzzle, the more open one, but Fred could bite everyone and often tries to get the muzzle off with his paws and ends up hurting himself. In these cases, when the cat behaves like this, having this protection more closed helps the clipping to be safer, because neither the groomer nor the cat gets hurt and the boby clipping can be done in much less time.

You really know your business! Step one trim claws to reduce scratching threat. Step two start trimming until Fred starts biting. Step 3 "Ball of Shame" and finish clipping. Step 4 remove the ball and Fred resigns himself to the final trim and seems to actually enjoy it. Great job and nice new look Fred!
@@dragoncup9099 its not declawed. The tips of his nails were trimmed, much like how people trim their nails if they get long. If it's not done regularly their nails can curv into the pads of their feet. Ive seen this a few times over the years in grooming cats. They may not like it, but its for their own good long term.

I'm glad my cat loves getting her hair done. She just lays back and lets the groomer do their thing. Then when she gets home, she struts around like she's showing off and looking for attention.

Desculpe, mas não é preguiça da cuidadora. Pelo idioma falado no vídeo, percebe-se que esse gato vive no Brasil, país muito quente para gatos de pelagem longa. Eles sofrem bastante com o calor no verão. Assim, muitos cuidadores tosam cães e gatos de pelo longo nessa época do ano.
Entretanto, concordo que a tosa foi radical. Poderia ter deixado o pelo do gatinho um pouquinho maior.
Amo gatos! Tenho dois, mas não corto os pelos. Aliás, são temperamentais (como esse do vídeo), nem as unhas deixam cortar... rsrsrs 😻😻

I had a blue siamese who lived to be nearly 20. She loved getting in the tub for her bath and sat on the toilet seat while I blew her dry with the hair dryer. Best cat ever!
My cat will do everything but the bath, she's only had one because of getting into something very stinky but you would swear we were trying to murder her. There is no strength in the world to get her to hold still for a bath.
You must miss her dearly. My Diablo is going on 12yo. It's just the two of us-- father and son. I honestly don't know how I would cope without him.

@@RB-tn7ns true, but the stories of what happens to your pets if you die first can be horrible. i found one of my former cat grooms at the shelter after his mom died and her fam just...didn't want him? he was so scared and it was only when he came out of his shell recognizing me that i hooked him up with a family who could see how sweet he was.

The groomers looked rough. They hurt the cat. Cut the nails too short cutting the cuticle. That's why it flinched. No thanks. I'd find another groomer.

Há donos que não conseguem escovar o seu gato. Quando Fred me procurou pela primeira vez, foi há 10 anos. Extremamente emaranhado, não deixava a dona escovar ele, pois mordia e arranhava. Eu e a dona sabemos que ele fica muito estressado para tosar. Mas, infelizmente, tosar é a melhor opção para ele. Tentamos fazê-lo o mais rápido possível. São 10 minutos na parte do corpo. Ele ainda sempre me deixa tosar o seu rosto com a tesoura. A dona do Fred é muito cuidadosa, ela tem outros dois ou três gatos que deixam ela escovar os seus pelos, então por isto ela nunca os trouxe para tosar. Ela sempre traz apenas o Fred, que tem este comportamento diferente. Ela conversa e dá muito carinho para o Fred e é gentil com ele durante todo a tosa. Ela ama muito seu gato, um dos maiores amores entre donos e gatos que conheço. Infelizmente o Fred não é muito comportado, ele não deixa ela colocar a focinheira, ele morde a dona. Tentamos usar também outra focinheira, a mais aberta, mas Fred morde todo mundo e muitas vezes fica tentando tirar a focinheira com golpes das patas e acaba se machucando. Nestes casos, quando o gato se comporta assim, ter esta proteção mais fechada ajuda a tosa a ficar mais segura, pois nem o tosador, nem o gato se machucam e a tosa bebe consegue ser feita em bem menos tempo.

The poor baby was totally stressed out. But, oh….he is going to LOVE being shaved. My cat used to rub up against everything when I had him shaved. He loved it.

Meu gato odeia o secador, acho que pelo barulho, eu coloco algodão no ouvido dele e se acalma.

Wow, that was shocking! Poor kitty had to lose all her fur. I felt so bad for the kitty 😿 I definitely understand having an extremely matted cat! My MiLo boy had very long fur and the last few years of his life it would get extremely matted!!

I think it is the same case as it is with my dog when I groom her: her feet and legs are sensitive. She doesnt like being held and grabbed at her legs or paws. She doesnt bite or growl but I have to take a lot of time and patience for her grooming. No appointments that day.
I basically have to be careful trying to brush my cat when it comes to the legs. On the right leg On one of the Claws Is a bit messed up ( I hope your understanding what am trying to say here lol) , it's not normal It ends up leaning side ways. He basically hates his Leg being touched am thinking someone has threw him Or something. he basically hates Being picked up Also. Probably because of trauma and what he went through. ik this has nothing to do with this I just wanted to state this.

I have the space helmet muzzle. I haven’t had to use it. My grouchy cat allows me to groom a little bit each day. For anyone who has a long hair cat, I recommend buying the furminator deshedding tool. It does an amazing job removing the dead hair and will help avoid matting issues.

В закреплённом сообщении говорят, что он не даёт себя расчесывать, кусает хозяйку, когда она пытается это делать. Поэтому его приходится брить. У женщины есть ещё кошки, они даются чесаться, их она к груммеру не носит.

У всех разный характер. У меня длинношерстный кот очень красивый, но он не мурлыкает, не даёт себя вычёсывать, шерсть сбивается в колтуны, приходиться выстрегать и естественно он против. 1 раз возила на стрижку. Цена покусанная и поцарапанная хозяйка. И он такой с детства. Не обижаем, любой каприз, еда игрушки, если лежит на любимом кресле никто не прогонит. Единственное что позволяет, это себя искупать и то когда сам об этом просит. Приходиться мириться с таким характером. Но и подстригать иногда нужно, шерсть достает до пола, при ходьбе.

@@user-my6dq5hp6v А приучать не пробовали? "Характер такой")) Коты дрессируются так же, как и собаки. И ко всем процедурам нужно постепенно приучать. У меня кошка даже на шприц с разведённой таблеткой сама ротик открывает сейчас и без проблем пьёт, а до изучения кинологии я её ловила и со стрессом для всех запихивала в неё таблетки, пока не поняла, что можно иначе с животными. Это занимает время и сил, но в итоге всем лучше и спокойнее.

exitem donos que não tem condição como escovar seu gato. quando o Fred veio para mim pela primeria vez, foi 10 anos atras. estava com cheio de nós. porque ele não deixava o dono escovar. ele mordia e arranhava para dono. eu e dono sabemos que ele fica muito estressado para tosar. mas infelizmente tosar assim zerado foi melhor opção para ele. tentamos fazer tosa mais rapido possivel. pelo menos para acabar logo. mas ele deixar tosar o rosto com tesoura. e o dono dele é muito cuidadosa , ela tem mais 3 gatos e ama muito ele.
