I find it so cool that the more marbles are added, the less your placement in the previous round matters. I get the statistical concept behind this, but I'd love to see someone work out the math.
There are also a decent amount of catch up mechanics at play that allow the slower teams to catch up on each stage, the red blocks that disintegrate is a good example
I think a reverse race would be much more interesting. Rather than marbles increasing, marbles could decrease every round and not all marbles have to finish to advance to the next round.
@@mistycremo9301 No real need. The explanation can be seen in the final leg. When first place was decided, there were four other colors that were also just one marble away from winning, another five that were two marbles away, and all but eight of the colors were building their last row. DarkBlue, who was in the worst shape when first place was decided, was more than 90% complete with the race, itself. Pink, who was the winner of the whole race, was 11th to finish the semi-final leg, which might as well be an average placement. Therefore, the odds of any average team coming out victorious were extremely close.
These are actually my favorite kind of marble races. When there's a huge mess of color and it slowly sorts itself out. Like when a kindergarten class is given full agency at a M&M shop and the workers have to clean up afterwards.
I know, I’ve rooted for purple every single game and I feel like Mikan must have some running joke where they don’t use takes of purple wins, it’s never won a race and usually comes in middle or last.
@@bumblegoot1139 Same, but I've heard the same usually happens with cyan, and I've also followed the light gray one (I forget the name) sometimes and it also seems to never do well

24 proliferation marbles race would be a really satisfying races of all the time. My colour bet this time just nearly got last but it's fine. Keep doing your best MIKAN ! The music selection in this video are nice too. :D
Well if they do the same as this and start with the same number you would get at the end 7680 marbles per color. I don know if the game/engine they use would allow that many marbles.
This is fabulous. I wonder what it would look like in reverse. Start put with thousands and each leg halve the number. Part of the appeal is the chaos into order. Love this channel.
I’m a hockey player, as a practice I like to turn your videos to x2 speed and try to stick handle to the beat of the fast music. You never fail entertain. Thank you.
*MARBLE* (glaxicus balinucs) ANATOMY: Marbles have a perfectly spherical body shape, and can come in a very wide variety of colors. Marbles leave a trail where they "roll", which is the same color as their bodies. A marble's innards consist of no actual organs, just a tissue that will absorb any gold or other food that it rolls across. Marbles have a very hard, but thin layer of outer skin, which it uses to smash through barricades and other physical objects. PREDATORS: Many things can prey on marbles, such as snakes, mosquitos, centipedes, and many other predators. PREY: A marble's diet consists of mostly gold, with many other foods that make up a small portion. REPRODUCTION: marbles are known to produce asexually very quickly, with a technique known as "Proliferation", making the marble grow, before splitting into 2 smaller marbles, effectively going through mitosis. STATUS: currently, Marbles hold the 7th spot for most populous animal in the world, meaning they are of least concern. SIZE: a marble has a radios of 1cm, a diameter of 2cm, a height on 2 cm, and a circumference of 4 cm. LIFESPAN: Marbles can live from 2 minutes, to effectively infinite ammounts of time by "winning a race" BEHAVIOR: despite not having a mind, marbles are known to launch themselves out of cannons or other launching contrations, loading themselves into lasers, or exploding as bombs. thank you for reading this :P
I love this comment so much, I appreciate all the thought, time, and energy you put into it to have it come out perfectly! I'm definitely going to show this to my boyfriend soon!
This has been one of my favorite peaceful pasttime channels to watch. It's a lot of fun pondering the statistics of what's happening. Something that could be interesting perhaps is if at all times one ball was highlighted so we could more easily see what it did amongst all the chaos. (It doesn't constantly have to be the same one, just a random one until it completes it's leg and then you switch)
I really like legs that equalize things, like leg 8. the first ones in had to wait and get mixed up, while later ones got a good burst of progress all at once. Some legs were heavily biased to whoever entered them in the lead, but I appreciate the ones that mix it up and keep it exciting!
Me and my sibling always rooted for Pink and Tan, but I don't know why I bet Orange this time, it turns out they are the 1st and the second place this time. What a coincidence, seriously. :D
Rainbow needs to get their act together real f-ing soon. How coach Jeffery Scott still has a job is beyond me, especially after his comments surfaced last week. I don't blame their sponsors starting to pull out....
Your videos are the best. An enormous amount of loving detail, everything is just perfect. Each of your marble races is exciting and calming at the same time. I would like to know how your thought process works to get such perfection. Can you make a video where you show how you do it?
Finally new music! Oh just great, green gets last place again, come on lime you always better than green since green gonna be the next one who like to gets last place, I mean, come on, green stop losing!
Colourful as always. But what am I starting to hate about these races, that the winner is always random. It just doesn't matter, which place colour takes in the legs before final. They are all designed such a way, that it has to wait for others to continue.
Ya I've noticed that in his more recent videos they are a bit heavy on the "comeback mechanics". Most of the time everything that happens before the very end is basically irrelevant, which kinda makes the videos less exciting.
I wonder if each succeeding leg could have been made larger so that as you move down you can still see the previous leg, but it seems like the speed previous legs lasted after the first few marbles made their way forward varied a bit.
Its was awesome when you add the proliferlation when the marble finishes also it gets harder because the marble that need to proceed to next round is adding more! Also my eyes is too blind to look how many the marble is there :D
How did I manage to bet on the correct color twice in a row? The previous race was a surprise win, and this one kept things interesting as no matter what leg it was on, it was still anyone's game. Also, leg 7 and 8 reminded me of fireworks.
What if the winner of a 24 marble team race gets to battle the winner of the next 24 marble race for championship status, instead of the 24th place being excluded?
The dissolving red bars is a nice thing too see. Sometimes it can take a long time for the last few marbles to get to the next stage. Wonderful chaos.
Really appreciated that feature! Some marbles get stuck forever at times XD
