4th time coming here to watch this set. Can I just give a MASSIVE big up to the don who decided to mix the MC quite low in this TH-cam vid. An MC is a big component of a live dnb show, but when listening at home, it's nice to be able to focus on the music.

I would agree for some, however the MC in this is DRS who is a legit producer of liquid DnB in his own right, and probably in the top 3 list of most respective in the game. Its a bit more than some hype man yelling the same 4-5 things over and over again and a lot of peeps would want to see him as much as Calibre. Him and Dominic also have a long standing history of colabs, some of which are in this set. They didnt deliberately cut him out I imagine, its probably just bodged together,

It's criminal that Calibre got a fairly small crowd at a liquid dnb festival...
Not really, smaller crowds are so much better for dnb as you have room to dance (maybe an unpopular opinion).
Calibre's music is also really intimate, so I think in that sense it also works.

One of my favorite artists - this jazz influenced chilled liquid DnB is just too satisfying.
Also one of the few sets so far where the 'MC' is quite a big enrichment and is well worked in.

Can`t believe I actually got to see him this summer at Boomtown, was such a great set, as the sun was going down it was such a nice way to start the night of raving.
This MC DRS reminds me in a very good way MC Conrad playing with LTJ Bukem. He is not intrusive to the music, just adds a slight touch of spice into the final mix
Couldn't agree more! Conrad is the epitome of a great MC. Doesn't overdo it, just fits perfectly.
You should check out the older Progression Sessions Volume 3, Bukem Conrad and DRS together.

You would struggle to beef about DRS, he is a music producing artist in his own right. Also he is funny, his rant mid way through the set about loosing his passport is mint. MCR to the world!
James Sands. Who cares. The dude was speaking over a vocal. That automatically makes him a toy. Liquid funk is a constant groove, and not "wait for the drop." there is absolutely no need for an Mc at all.
Do you know who DRS is? and the fact he appears on a lot of Calibres tracks, as a vocal artist? I dunno, live mixes aint meant to be enjoyed on a laptop after the event, I dont think many in the crowd would be beefing at the MC tbh
