The main reason why this one is my "least favourite mods" (and oh boy don't let me start on the EARLY version, which was far worse), is because the tone change completely ruins the epicness of the original song, which was the reason why a lot of people loved the track. This, it tried to do it differently, but it didn't worked, for me at least. The voices and a lot of sounds in here in general are out of tune, and even admitted by the dude who recorded the voice for last 5 characters (I don't think he was even credited here). So yeah, this iteration of the song is a complete disaster, and hope PersonFromBrazil (who is currently making The Last Day, another fanmade mod about Incredible Polo's song), will give some justice to the original track.
One thing I see from a lot of people is that "it’s not trying to be the original, it’s doing it’s own thing." Alright, you can adapt songs to repurpose them as mods in the way you imagine, I’ve seen mods do that well, but why even try to make a version based off a song if you fundamentally change the entire tone, appeal, and literally everything about the original? Arby was better off making an original song on his own.
This is one reason why me (and the rest of Team Cell) are making our own Two Faces version. (on scratch, though) Team Cell's Two Faces will try to recreate the original track's vibe.
Thank you so much for referring to the RB situation in the beginning, if we could, we would say someone else made his mods just so we can shun the guy out. Aside from that, would love for you to try out the unfinished demo of Sewertown!
This is a very creative idea, seeing how this song was in the Unreleased album. I'd like to see more done like this, but definitely by...more human developers.
