Hey farm friends! I meant to put a date on this for you. This is a current video. The vet visit was today. I also meant to put a bit more about Jewel in there but also forgot 😅. She is not a happy puppy at the moment. She has been crashed in the living room since we got home. She will heal quickly though and we will let you know how her and Daisy are doing after a few days. FYI: I did wet Daisy’s grain but she wouldn’t eat so I tried the dry grain that you see in the video. She ate a bit more this evening but her appetite just isn’t there yet. 😢
Sending prayers for both of these little darlings. Just wondering whether you got the blood work done on Daisy also and the grain soaked in a little bit of warm water? Poor little things. It was interesting also what your vet said about the water and how horses won’t drink it freezing cold. I follow another awesome equine channel, The Clever Cowgirl, and she had mentioned that exact same thing about a month or two ago because she put those water heater things in the troughs before it became freezing, she said because the horses won’t drink as much as they need. Really interesting. I live in Australia so we don’t really get that cold, possibly a day or two in the winter and that’s it. Anyway sending love and prayers to you all, especially sweet Daisy and Jewel♥️♥️♥️
You probably know this but my friend who is great horse person is from the Netherlands and when she has a horse that doesn't drink enough she puts honey in the water in the winter and they love it.
I was going to suggest soaking her grain. I noticed someone else said the same. That will help with digestion and hydration at the same time and maybe she’ll take her meds that way also. ☺️
Don’t forget to put a little warm water into her feed to make a little mash. That’s another way for her to get water, and she might enjoy the change. Good luck Daisy.
Did you forget to moisten her senior feed before adding all the meds? She needs lots of water to flush her, she’s so sweet you are so lucky to have such cute ponies and horses.
Your vet is excellent and not only helps your horses but his advice is invaluable to us as well to store for emergencies. Dear Daisy will enjoy your devoted nursing
My family's friend's litte dog "lied to strangers about being lost" no less than 3 times and jumped joyfully into a car with rescuers. The one gal felt so bad taking her because she didn't think such a little bitty dog could possibly live at the same house with two very large dogs so she took her home to call her license number because she thought she was a runaway to a previous address old home. Luckily it was always nice folks that picked her up and she came back within a day or two after "telling stories that weren't true".
I hope Daisy will start feeling better after starting her medications! Bless her little heart. I hope Jewelry is doing better. Did you get her microchipped? Poor little sweet doggie, that must have been uncomfortable! I hope she feels better soon! Oh gosh yes, Veterinary costs are thru the roof! Something needs to be done, to bring those costs down, but I don’t know what! Thank you for taking us along on your vet visit! It was good that you took Jewel along, too!🌼❄️🌼❄️🌼❄️🌼❄️🌼❄️🌼❄️🌼❄️🌼❄️🌼
Thank you for including is on yhe vet visolis. The Vet was very informative. Thumbs up for Daisy and Jewel to heal thoroughly and feel way bettet!! ❤❤❤❤
What Jewel has is pretty common. Good you had it addressed and she should be feeling back to normal real soon, just will be a little uncomfortable and maybe out of sorts for a couple of days, poor babies.🐾
Emori thank you for taking such good care of Daisy and Jewel. One thing I thought I would draw to your attention, which might help at feed time is that the Vet said to wet down the Senior feed. This is to help her to digest it better. You are doing a great job looking after them. ❤❤❤🙌🏻
@@brookboggs289 Inqiring minds wonder will BITTER APPLE (spray) applied to Emeri's clorhes Prevent or discourage the biting like it does for most dogs and puppies to fabric or wood?
It is good that you treated her for colic, because after Colt, I read up, and this mini breed is VERY prone to colic. Might not be that, but you have to be very watchful for that! If your vet suggests or wants you to have anti- preventative for colic, please have that. 😊
My Arab had to go in for Colic after a 4 hour op they couldn't find any twist in intestine or worms so we don't know what caused it. He was in for a week at Royal Veterinary Hospital who were fantastic with him. While I was there they had a shetland and a Shire horse stabled each side of him. The vet told me those 2 breeds were prone to Colic the Shire had been in before and they were very worried for him. So u r right about Shetlands
Daisy please get better soon and be a good girl for your nurse Emeri! Little Jewel we hpoe that you get better soon as well and take your medications for nurse Emeri. One of my little adopted Sr girl dogs had some teeth puled today so she is recuperating.
Sending love and Blessings to your special babies who aren't feeling as well as they might. God Bless all of our creatures, domestic and wild. That vet bill---yup---yikes. We've dropped more than a couple of bucks over the years on our dogs and cats, but never had the expense of equines. You folks take care of one another too.
Poor Little girls 😢 I hope they both are on the mend and feel better real soon , you both are so caring and I wish you the best , it's gonna be a tough few weeks but Daisy and Jewel will appreciate the help 😊❤
PLEASE send out any updates regarding both Jewel and Daisy. AND, thank you for getting this video out so quickly. Now I know better how to pray for you and your animals today. 🙏❤ ✝️
Poor Daisy, I hope she recovers without issue. Just as well you decided to take Jewel to be chipped...she might have ended up very uncomfortable and unwell had her problem not been addresssed. Lol, Thomas is adorable! Love him.♥️
Cog Hill Farm channel just adopted a 18 yr miniature horse from friends who also has bouts with ulcers. And many decades ago I had a small white dog (spitz) that was prone to anus gland ruptures. Ugh. Life can be a trial sometimes.
I hope Daisy recovers quickly, and your pup. Did the pup also get the micro chip?, it is such a good idea for dogs and cats. The grain didn't look moist, don't mean to be rude or any thing. Your idea to syringe the meds is a quick and easier process. Love your channel guys !
Poor Daisy just does not look like a happy girl right now❤❤ She doesn't understand that it's medicine, but once she starts feeling better, hopefully she will cooperate ❤

Praying for their full recovery🙏🏻❤️ please remember food before meds. The stomach with ulcers cannot handle the meds when it’s empty!
@@traciehart4470 I WONDER if cold water bothers their older teeth, as much as it does mine???
Sending love 🫶🏻 and prayers 🙏🏻 so that the poor girls will get well soon. 💕
I am glad that when your animals are sick, you take them to the vet. No messing around. Wise!
On the prayer list they go. I always pray for you and all of your animals on the farm. Prayers are sent your way.
Thank you
Poor baby, sending lots of hugs and love for both Daisy and Jewel ❤🙏🏻✝️🙏🏻❤️
You probably know this but my friend who is great horse person is from the Netherlands and when she has a horse that doesn't drink enough she puts honey in the water in the winter and they love it.
I’ve heard of molasses also, for cows, but I don’t know if that works or is good for horses.
Plus honey is nutritionally good for we humans AND animals.
It is so difficult to watch our furry friends be sick. Prayers for complete recovery 🙏
Feel better Daisy and Jewel❤
Didn't the vet suggest adding a little warm watet to the grain. I'm pretty sure that's what I heard. I hope you see results soon❤
You're such good animal parents. Thank you for being AWESOME ❤

Pray that daisy gets better fast and the medication works, and the dog feels better also soon to Amen
Did you forget to moisten her senior feed before adding all the meds? She needs lots of water to flush her, she’s so sweet you are so lucky to have such cute ponies and horses.
Excellent reminder!Moistening her senior feed.... Important! 👍

I hope Daisy will start feeling better after starting her medications! Bless her little heart. I hope Jewelry is doing better. Did you get her microchipped? Hope Daisy will start feeling better ❤ And I also hope she'll like the water-mash, and starts to drink more....
What Jewel has is pretty common. Good you had it addressed and she should be feeling back to normal real soon, just will be a little uncomfortable and maybe out of sorts for a couple of days, poor babies.🐾
Daisy is SO CUTE! She looks like a SOFT fluff ball with her winter coat. 😊❤
Poor Daisy! I hope she gets better quick!😢😢

So glad you were able to get Daisy so quick into the Vet. She is such a sweetheart. Wishing both Daisy and Jewel a quick recovery.
Thomas! 😂 It is time for Isaac to teach Thomas manners. 👍 👍 It is not good to bite the Momma!
@@brookboggs289 Inqiring minds wonder will BITTER APPLE (spray) applied to Emeri's clorhes Prevent or discourage the biting like it does for most dogs and puppies to fabric or wood?
I thought that grain was supposed to be wet? That would help with the powders too. Maybe with a touch of molasses if the vet approves
Good point! Wet helps to give Daisy the hydration she needs.

Cog Hill Farm channel just adopted a 18 yr miniature horse from friends who also has bouts with ulcers.
And many decades ago I had a small white dog (spitz) that was prone to anus gland ruptures. Ugh.
Life can be a trial sometimes.
Keep up the good animal care, J.R. and Emry. 🌟
And, Emry, continue to keep a close eye on that pony herd, like you are doing. Good work! 👏
Your vet is one in million does he do calls in north wales ❤

Awww poor Daisy 🙏🙏🙏😇❤️❤️❤️
Vet said, to add water to her senior feed
Yes they did and she did not eat it. They explain in the pinned comment.
I miss Colt ❤
I'm curious how she responds to the warmed up water.
