Hey, Jason! Your design of Batman is aesthetically very pleasing and very proportionate to the human anatomy! You're now my favourite! You and Paul Harding did a fantastic job in bringing your design to life! I'm now a very hardcore DC Essentials collector! haha I so can't wait for the upcoming figures!
I had that Batman '89 figure. My favorite figure as a child was a Joker action figure from that movie. It had a flower that squirted water when you squeeze something. I lost that figure when my family moved in 1991. I had it before I moved but I couldn't find it after I moved.
I am convinced that there are goblins who steal your toys whenever you go somewhere. I have lost so many action figures whenever I went to hotels or air bnbs it sucks.
I enjoy these videos. I know you're busy, but hope can make more either about your excellent art (Three Jokers) or upcoming projects (Prime 1 collaboration).
I bought the entire wave of these figures on day one of release. Not only are you my favorite artist currently working for DC, but Paul Harding is probably the best sculptor working in the business today. His work on statues and figures always ensures my purchase. What a great series of videos you have going on here, sir! I hope to see many more come out from you. Would you be willing to do some art videos, too? It would be awesome to see you sketch while you provide some insight and tips to us aspiring artists and designers out there! Keep up the great work- I’m really looking forward to the Three Jokers story coming from you and Geoff Johns! 👍
This Line needs extra hands and faces. At least they could add as an accesory pack. Perfect design with that this is the definitive action figure.Cheers from Argentina also you are an amazing artist keep on the good work.
Totally agree on Batman Hush! I remember my love for DC was elevated to a whole new level after reading that arc. Yourself and Paul did an amazing job on this first wave and can't wait to get my hands on the 2nd!
Could you post a video of you drawing a sketch or something, I've never seen a video of your drawing process. You're one of my favorite artists and I think it would be really cool to see
The Fabokalypse with Jason Fabok I watch jim lee livestreams, so if you did like time lapsing and editing it would be awesome. Your art is never boring. :D
Absolutely awesome stuff, yet again! Loved hearing your personal journey into Batman and action figures! Did you get any say in the color choices for the Batman you designed? Or was that made later on down the line by someone else? I noticed that your design sketch had Batman in the black and gray Rebirth suit, while the actual figure is in the dark blue and gray. Both look awesome, either way, I was just wondering if your love for Batman HUSH (which is also my favorite comic of all time and got me into Batman) influenced the choice to go with the blue and gray suit. Love the content here! Keep up the good work, sir!
Hey, Jason! I've been loving your videos! As a lifelong comic book and action figure collector, especially Batman, as well as a huge fan of your artwork, this figure checks all the right boxes for me! Here's hoping for many more comics, figures and videos from you, my man! P.S. Any inside scoop on a Doomsday Clock Batman based on yours and Paul's buck?
Great vid. You can definitely see Jim Lee's influence on your work. You created a style that's reminiscent but definitely your own. It's the way everything is so clearly and cleanly drawn is what makes you stand out. It's the type of artwork that suits large epic scale like Darkseid War. I hope you visit Ireland at some point. Would love to get a sketch from you.
Great video Jason! I've got that (& Deathstroke) on order at my shop & I'm hoping like hell it comes in with tomorrow's shipment. As soon as it does, it's going on the shelf beside the Jim Lee Hush Bats & the Capullo Designer Series Bats.
Hey jason aside from the upcoming wave of dc essentials is there any new figures design coming from you you know i love your designs especially batman and i already have batman and i have pre order red hood nightwing and batgirl please do more figures with dc essentials thank you
I know that it is probably too late, or ridiculous. But I always wondered where all those DC Collectibles figures were assembled back in the day? And how many of the units per figure design were made?
Hey Jason, any tips on how to improve drawing super heroes, just in general really, what is something I should do to knew how to do better and improve:) ?
love the figure, it would have been cool to have a DC logo base with them too, maybe that's something you could introduce at some point. Thanks Jason! Oh and maybe do a teen body buck so we could get Red Robin (Rebirth) from this line too!
Anthony Rodriguez I plan to. I just need two things 1)the time to do it and 2) a set up to do it. I cant do pages for my books. Too top secret. But maybe a head sketch.
If only I ever saw this figure in a store, I would've bought it. My local comic book stores don't carry much of the new stuff like this, and Barnes & Noble is the only other place that carries these. It's been ages since I've seen any DC Collectibles figures in a B&N. Whenever they did have any, it was just a few from an older line. Hopefully Target will stock a decent amount of DC figures from the companies taking over Mattel. It's very hard and stressful to find collectible figures at retail anymore. Legends and the like certainly aren't worth eBay scalper prices. Soon, we'll be able to buy every single new figure online at MSRP, with free shipping and no internet tax. 😆....yeah right!
Thanks - I enjoyed this- great art work and figures. I am hoping that one day someone will make some of Archangels ( St. Michael, St. Raphael, St. Gabriel). I’ve looked hopefully for the past few years but no one has done them as far as I know. I imagine there would be a market for them I am Catholic and my adult sons would buy them - I know I would and I am am in my 60’s.
Hey Jason, another question re: Batman here (I have it here in Australia, btw, i love it). Looking at your design sketches on your facebook page, alongside the batman design there was a maskless profile. Was at some point plans for a bruce wayne alternate head for this figure?
The thing with this line is that the legs are disproportionately too long. And this also causes the figure to be a bit too tall to fit in with most lines.
Hey Jason, I was wondering, are there any plans to release a long hair/bearded version of that Essentials Aquaman? THat would be the version I would clamour for
Thanks for the reply. Yeah it's odd, the long hair/beard is the new comics version, and it's in the movie, yet with DCE and all the SDCC stuff they released its all retro and short haired. I mean Batman and Superman are up to date but not Aquaman? I wonder what the justification is. But I am glad you at least suggested it, so thanks for that. I'd love to see you draw a long haired Aquaman if you haven't already.
I'm pretty excited to see what McFarlane Toys will do. They'll definitely rival DC Collectibles, and blow Mattel out of the water. Spin Masters on the other hand; never heard of them. I'm imagining those will be pretty subpar. Not to mention NECA producing DC figures. It's too bad Marvel isn't getting the same treatment. At least Hasbro has been stepping it up lately..but what could be if the likes of DC Collectibles, McFarlane or NECA where able to make Marvel stuff. Soon, Disney will own them all and we'll get 6/7" Spidey figures from a dozen different companies.
AMAZING figure, I do not know if you remember about the subtitles of the past video, I already sent them but you still do not approve them. I will translate this video too.
Why are all the figures in this line so lanky and awkward looking? These figures are a very poor representation of your art work. My guess is, shrinking the line about half an inch would solve the weird proportion issues.
I think its because of the articulation. Im happy with it, but I do see it. Take a look at the making of video where I show the pre-articulated sculpts.

Can you please please please talk about how you made dc essentials red hood figure when everybody gets there figure

I just got this figure. In one word it's perfect. AmaZING mind blowing articulation amazing detailed. Really impressive
Totally agree on Batman Hush! I remember my love for DC was elevated to a whole new level after reading that arc. Yourself and Paul did an amazing job on this first wave and can't wait to get my hands on the 2nd!

C.C Tinsley I'll see if I can get a setup but it's not very exciting. Same as everyone else
The Fabokalypse with Jason Fabok I watch jim lee livestreams, so if you did like time lapsing and editing it would be awesome. Your art is never boring. :D
It’s super cool that you got to design these figures. You can tell that you really enjoyed it and put your heart into the work. 👍
Really like your work Jason, you're one of my favourite artists and these figures look fantastic, I'll definitely be looking out for them.
One of the best artists working today! These videos are great, keep it up man 👍🏻
Really nice video Jason!!! Love your artwork!!!
Jason, you are the best!

This figure is amazing!! Is there anyway that we could get this figure in a 1:18 scale?
Can't wait to get mine soon
You are my favorite artist in acctually, your draws of JL is awesome, you are awesome man, nice job, when you have a time come to Brazil please
Really wish the cape had more "motion" sculpted into it for more dramatic poses. Still a great sculpt and design overall.

P.S. Any inside scoop on a Doomsday Clock Batman based on yours and Paul's buck?
Jason. You are amazing. Your artwork is so damn Heavy Metal 🤘. Hush changed my life. Now i'm planning to come to DC one day too.
You mentioned the 1989 Batman. It would be amazing if DC collectibles made a 1989 Batman version of this figure.

Really cool man!
Will there be time-lapse drawings or tutorials on this channel?
Hey jason aside from the upcoming wave of dc essentials is there any new figures design coming from you you know i love your designs especially batman and i already have batman and i have pre order red hood nightwing and batgirl please do more figures with dc essentials thank you
Do you edit these videos? if so you're doing an amazing job, especially as a starting youtuber!
I know that it is probably too late, or ridiculous. But I always wondered where all those DC Collectibles figures were assembled back in the day? And how many of the units per figure design were made?
Interesting stuff! Thanks for sharing!

I usually get Hasbro Marvel Legends figures but this DC Essentials line looks super cool! Great work!
Can you do some time lapses of a commission or a page or something
Anthony Rodriguez I plan to. I just need two things 1)the time to do it and 2) a set up to do it. I cant do pages for my books. Too top secret. But maybe a head sketch.
do you know if dc collectibles is maybe planning a dc essentials martian manhunter

1:50 - woah, you got intensely serious there with telling the audience they became your favourite character.
Are you also designing the upcoming SHAZAM! and Black Adam action figures?
yessir!
I just noticed your intro looks so much like Gunship album, really nice touch there.
I love the 80's look :)
Nightwing!!!

They asked me to draw it all just in case so the didn't have to bug me if they chose to do different versions
The thing with this line is that the legs are disproportionately too long. And this also causes the figure to be a bit too tall to fit in with most lines.
How could they not include a stand for this figure! It's such a great looking figure but is difficult to stand on its own.
Batman Hush is one of my favorite Batman Stories.
That's the next animated movie WB is gonna make
Hey Jason, I was wondering, are there any plans to release a long hair/bearded version of that Essentials Aquaman? THat would be the version I would clamour for
I suggested that when we started, but they wanted the short haired version. maybe in the future? No plans that I know of

I'd love to see you draw a long haired Aquaman if you haven't already.
True but I had drawn the designs months before they changed the design. By that time it was too far along to change.
Aww, you're a baby! I didn't know that the guy who's art this was based off of was *so* young.
This action figure is really good but I got mine have same left foot
Why didn’t they give us a unmasked Bruce Wayne head or two batarangs or two pair of hands?
Ooooo
Exelent mas vidios

Hey man. How come you didnt keep this channel going?
AMAZING figure, I do not know if you remember about the subtitles of the past video, I already sent them but you still do not approve them. I will translate this video too.
SO COOOL, oh my poor wallet
Fabokalypse is upon our arses. Run for your lives!
cool vid. you seem like a real person lol you could be a tad less serious
Why are all the figures in this line so lanky and awkward looking? These figures are a very poor representation of your art work. My guess is, shrinking the line about half an inch would solve the weird proportion issues.

Why don't you just draw superman and batman. You wont bring back that old crap , you try something new.
