Yea this is how he got with Mr. Magic (rip) Magic heard it and he hired him to be his DJ. I’m watching Master Gee’s Theatre Ft Marley Marl and he just mentioned it. That’s why I’m here. Cause I never knew this existed.
Been collecting since 1983. Recollecting and Remastering since 2008. This could just as easily be an Old School Hip Hop channel with exclusive mixtapes. If there is anything you want to hear from this era, let me know. Otherwise, I'm going to start with WHBI-WBLS and move from east to west, 80s through 90s. Peace.
@@psycho-therapy8780 Please do this... it's a great idea and would be a gift to the artistic community. Just my opinion of course. Hopefully, you'll include more regional stuff like D.C.'s go-go scene, Chicago's House scene or Detroit's techno among others.
I waited all my life until I was 6 to hear the original back in 84 for me. I’ve waited nearly 40 years to hear this magnificent mix. Zillions of thanks. 🎉
I had no idea Art of Noise had anything to do with Buffalo Gals! Thank you for posting this. This was one of the first 12" I bought and BLS was on every chance I had. These were good times
Writers: McLaren, Dudley (!), Horn. Anne Dudley of The Art of Noise was Studio Musician an Co-Writer. Art of Noise was the Studio-Band for Trevor Horn and his Productions.
His name is DJ Marley Marl look him up he is the first hip hop DJ that had the first radio rap show with Mr. Magic rest peacefully so he's one of the best mixer's n the game. His name hold's a lot of weight n the hip hop world believe that.
Like so many others said before and after me ""what happened to the music?" It sounds like absolute shit today and outdated when it should be the other way around 😮. The Hip Hop is absolute garbage today and has been for decades and the other genres can't sing for shit with the exception of gospel music.
This might be one of, if not the first Marley Marl radio mix
And still one of the best mixes
