Another great video from you, Amy! You always find ways to give us new ways to improve our skills on the pan, in fun, simple and engaging ways. Thank you again for helping me press on with my learning and development! :)
Amy, dear, thanks very lot! Very-very-very good and useful explanation, in very clear way and step by step you are developing and mastering our skills, musics and motivation! And our people around us appreciate it! God bless you, dear, Amy, you are the best teacher and hang artist! Big brotherly hug from Andrei, Minsk, Belarus
Hi Amy, I learn from your YT Vids more and faster than from a €149,- Course I bought some month ago. You show some easy to follow little beautiful Melodie’s which bring immediately you while playing, without practicing hours of technics which can quickly becoming boring. Thanks for that. You mention in some video that you plan to bring your own Handpan Course? Would also love to see you playing with the RAV 😃
Thanks Andre, I'm glad you're finding them useful! Yes, I have a course coming soon with Handpan Dojo. I also have a weekly Sunday class, and some other online stuff coming up. If you're interested in keeping up to date, you can join my mailing list at the bottom of my webpage: www.amynaylormusic.com
You are more help than you know...especially in your methods of creating compositions. Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and eats for his lifetime. Thank you.
Wow that was really great! Thank you for an easy but informative tutorial. I love the hand pan. If you don’t mind my asking, what are the differences in them and which kind would be the best to start learning with? I really want to try learning it. Thanks for any advice you may have.
I would recommend keeping cost down. I have found that my Pan though it was under $1000 is GREAT. Masterful, probably not, but just what i needed to get started. Also, IMO start with something that has 8-10 notes, not more. This i feel strongly would be over whelming as a new player. I've been at it for around 5months now and i play right along with Amy and other teachers here on youtube. every note is pure joy. Research different tunes and find the sound you like the most. shop Handpans in that tuning. Mine is a D Kurd Or D Minor tuning. Amy uses hers here a lot. My next Pan now that i know more, I want one of these Pygmies so bad. 15+ notes though is my goal for the future. Malte Marten plays a beautiful Pygmy that has like over 20 notes. that right now is my dream pan. The goal now is to build confidence and perform for a little cash maybe, to save up. By that time, i should deserve something of a higher quality. I also struggle with... mental disorders, and this helps me get through the tough times better than most anything i've tried yet.
Hello there! :) You seem very informed, so maybe you could help me please. Do you know what handpan scale would I need to get to play this song? th-cam.com/video/g1XbSuEprpY/w-d-xo.html The program says it is F, but somehow it sounds more "minor". Also F low means it is minor or something else? :)
