  • Legal Reference: Memo from the Directorate for Police and Community Relations (TDPCR) dated December 7, 2021 with subject: Viewing of the Movie “LISPU: Sa Likod ng Tsapa"
The TDPCR is highly encouraging all Philippine National Police personnel to watch the movie in support to the PNP.
This is a police story film that is a collaboration of Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) and the Home Court Artistry (HCA) owned and founded by Harvie C. Aquino to create a film featuring real-life inspired stories of the police officers.
Director Harvie Aquino said in an interview that this movie is an outside-of-the-box film. There are no stunts, unlike the other police story films we watched. This will serve as a voice for those good policemen who are affected every time they are being stereotyped negatively.”
According to PLTCOL NORMAN FLORENTINO, the Deputy Director for Administration of Pangasinan Provincial Police Office when the film was created in 2019, the film project is part of the Philippine National Police (PNP)’s internal cleansing program, which aims to develop accountability and closer cooperation among PNP members in pursuant of internal reforms, interplay, instilling discipline, and spiritual and moral values. He further said, “Gumawa ng konsepto upang mapaganda, maayos, malinis ang imahe ng pulis. Nais din ipakita sa publiko through this film ang buhay pulis bilang asawa, ama, protector ng mamamayan (We formed this concept to correct wrong notions on the image of the police. We also wanted the public to see through this film the lives of policemen as husbands (wives), fathers (mothers), and protectors of the community for the sake of good cops, who continue to walk and sacrifice for the community that we serve.”
The film’s casts include independent-film actor Akihiro Blanco, Garie Concepcion, Eat Bulaga’s Ms. Millennial Pangasinan Gwendoline Soriano, Edmund Santiago, as well as local talents such as Raul Tamayo, Violy Valdez, and some members of the PPPO.
Blanco said he is excited about the film as it is his first time to play the role of a policeman. He and the other casts underwent police training
