- Senior citizens who live alone are most vulnerable to be victims of any crime, since they are soft targets. Generally the victims are known to the assassins, who also know about their financial dealings and assets. But in Goa the migration of children to Europe make senior citizens most vulnerable. Often the seniors depend on labour for their well being. Often they are victims of crime due to the property and assets. Govt has to take some vital measures to ensure that police force or neighbourhood teams keep watch on senior citizens. These teams should cater to well being of senior citizens and help them when in need even in daily tasks which become laborious at an advanced age.
Don't blame all the time police, We are also responsible for this b'coz we are electing currupt person Assembly elections as well as panchayat/municipality election 🙏

The government should do patrolling not only at night but also in the afternoon, n late in the evening because, that is the time, the labourers walk in group , they keep staring , it's quite frightening. N worse if there's any construction work going on the vicinity. The migrants just walk as if they are in the park, talking loudly.

Government should make a rules that every old people are leaving alone should put CCTV camera in every houses.because many migrants are rounding in villages

Do our children want us around , when we age, we slough to give them education, get them married, then they go away. They will show up only after we are sloughtered. I'm facing this problem. No solution.

It's a shameful act to murder 80yrs old senior citizen, someone acted horrendously,police patrolling is important apart from that family members should keep eye on their loved ones by calling them at some point or by keeping carer to take care of him,at that age everyone needs helping hand, all the families should think about it everyone gets old when time comes, don't isolate your loved ones,very sad incident,God knows what that poor had gone through

please please try putting a internal alarm system which connects within the neighborhood so that who ever is in trouble or facing problems with such situations can press the button and alarm the people, the police and the panchayat will be of no help, they will do petroling for a short period, and the panchayat will help someone rob the property after the senior citizen is dead as no near and dear ones to take over the house and property since they r all abroad
