You're both from Morocco right? If so, your cannabis is typically processed into Hash. Here's a quick lesson, if you're interested. Cannabis has what are called "Trichomes", which hold all of the compounds that get you stoned. If you look at them under a microscope, they look like small translucent lollypops. What your people have been doing for thousands of years is: knocking off those trichomes from the bud, gathering them, applying a little bit of heat, and pressing them into a ball or block. The consistency is kind of like playdough. Moroccans used to export tons of Hashish to the U.S. from the 70's-2000's. Nowadays, we have a very extensive hash making scene here in the States, and Moroccan hash isn't as popular as it once was. Still, for those who have tried Moroccan hash, it's very unique and sought after by cannabis aficionados .
Tbh the US legalization very likely didn't affect the Moroccan Hash market what so ever as Hash is a mainly European thing which is mostly under an underground market. I've smoked almost half the time I've been alive and never have I seen hash. Not even in dispensaries
The release of that movie was absolutely insane. I need to watch it again because I really only remember the chaos surrounding its release and not the story itself.
This is one of those movies that I think time will unfortunately forget. Part of what was so funny about it was how relatable it was to specifically American stoners back when it was still very illegal in most places. So much of the humor is in the little nuances of the way the characters act. It's all very subtle, but people who have lived it recognize it immediately. It's the difference between, "Heh. He's acting silly." and, "Oh, WOW! Haha! I know that feeling!" You kind of had to have been there. It's funny regardless, but to older millennial stoners, especially in California, it's something special. There's a whole layer to it that's kind of an inside joke.
It was me who commented you two were the Arab James Franco and Seth Rogan! It was more the James Franco resemblance but it was when I was watching this movie I noticed it! The James Franco resemblance is mostly I think you have similar facial expressions when smiling/laughing!
Now that you have seen this movie, you have to see the same guys and many more recognizable faces in a movie called "This Is The End." A few other movies to watch with some of the same actors as Pineapple Express are below. I am sure you will really enjoy them: **Superbad **Neighbors 1 & 2 **The Interview **Office Party **The Night Before (good for watching around the holidays here)
Great reaction. You have to see "Observe and Report", probably my favorite Seth Rogen performance and a super hilarious and dark cult classic that was overshadowed by "Paul Blart Mall Cop", which had a vaguely similar premise and came out around the same time.
Cannabis (Weed, Marijuana) was legalized here in California in 2016 and other States after but not all States. Some still consider it as bad as Heroin. Only at a State level it's tolerated, on a Federal level it's still illegal. Each State has it's own Laws on how much you can grow, have on your body or your daily purchase at the Dispensary(Cannabis Store). You can give to friends and family who are 21+ but are never allowed to sell it without a license. Overall, it's still a sensitive subject but is starting to get more medical testing done to see the benefits of the plant. Sorry for essay, lol. Hope that cleared up some questions.
You guys should check out "The Prophecy" from 1995. It's a thriller with Christopher Walken, Viggo Mortensen and a lot of other actors you're more likely to recognize than recall their names off-hand. It's a little like Constantine in that it's intended as enterainment, but has a religious theme going with it.
Legal here in Washington State since 98 as medical marijuana but legalized it 2012 for the general public . Unfortunately some of us have broken the law as I started in the late 60s never having a hard time to get it . I lived next to McCord AFB which was next to Ft. Lewis an army base . Early 70s it just flowed through Lakewood . All of it coming fron Viet Nam , Cambodia and Thailand. I still regularly indulge I'm 72 with no health issues something must be working .
59:26 I don't know who the "they" are you're talking about or what they've been smoking but maybe I should smoke the same because I definitely don't see any resemblance between the fat guy and the drug dealer and you two. That being said I can totally see a similar movie scenario working Two Arab TH-camrs with a dream to travel through America witness a murder and then shit hits the fan. chaos and mayhem all around. I'm grabbing my popcorn I'll definitely watch that movie😂

@@jeambeam3173you can make your own hash with a press or just scrap the grooves on a grinder. all the keif is pressed in every time you untwist it.
@@jeambeam3173 I don’t know how popular it is in Europe, but a lot of middle eastern countries smoke hash
The main 2 guys did another comedy movie together called "The Interview". I don't want to spoil anything but I'll just say it's really funny too

@MarnieGolde7 i can't believe that the guy who played Kim didn't get assassinated
@@MarnieGolde7it really isn’t.
Kim Jong un threatened the US and movie theaters across the country stopped showing it in theaters out of fear. Is that not insane
Nearly caused a direct war lmao
I was just getting ready to go to sleep when they dropped this, had to watch immediately.

Pineapple Express was one of the scripts they had us breakdown when I was in film school. The teacher was someone who worked on the film.
Brother on the right definitely looks a lot like Franco. Just different noses.
