Seek, that is one of favorite videos. Pretty cool to have that happen practically in the backyard. Right place at the right time!
In combat that ability to turn and reengage within seconds is devastating to the enemy. Zero time to react and that is the point.
I've seen side-by-side target runs by A-10s and F-16s, and the A-10s do a complete 360-degree turn in a very small fraction of the space that an F-16 can. And this method of steeply climbing up and flipping around to come back the other way is pretty impressive too.
The A10 is the only plane that can make a grown ass man cry from joy...
1:02 sounds like something you would not want to hear
If the Bald Eagle were a Transformer the A-10 would be its Transformer disguise.
this is the sound of freedom
Listen to those freakin turbofans on the dive! Best flyby vid I've seen in ages! You lucky guys!
0:57 start of the coolest part
USN veteran; I LOVE their unique engine whirling/sound! Had pleasure to witness & hear @ NSAWC Fallon, NV with HS-2. Squadron of A-10s happened to be there also. F-14, F/A-18, S3, Turbo Props, Helos.... Loudest ever EA-6B Prowlers launching of catapults.
7 Taliban members didn't like this. I wonder why?? :)
+Tomas Cuay Freedom?
HAHAHAHA cry me a river! One word
segregation
Cause the other 4000 are already dead
1:02 NOW THAT IS SCARY
That A-10 is literally doing the stuka siren sound which makes the A-10 like 100x more scarier
Yep, modern day Stuka lol
Stay calm and BRRRRRRRRRRRRRT!!!!!
I was able to see them execute their business of destruction in Kuwait during Desert Storm in '91. Nothing was safe. Absolutely lethal. There is no sound like that gun in the nose when it lets loose!
Imagine you are an enemy tank commander. You look up and see and hear 1:03
I think i would only do one thing. I'd say "Shit." Then probably get blown to pieces :S
"Oh sweet mother of-"
BBRRTT!
That A10s nose lining up head on and the scream of those engines is the last thing many of our enemies see and hear. We got to see it and live! Awesome video
Damn shame these are getting retired. Idea, why don't we sell these to NATO countries or SK or even Japan? The A-10 would still get used and we make some $$$
Shit man, if they are any good in cold weather, I'd bug my MPs to pick up a few for Canada. But fat chance of that, instead we're in on that F-35 PoS. Blech. Aging Helis and long range transport planes, and we get the F-35, sheesh.
333keb a few weeks ago I was in Gettysburg, and a few A10's flew over much like these in the video. They were a little higher off the ground. They came by and did a bank from side to side. Very cool to see. I hope they keep them around. They are my favorite military plane
Mike Boyle gettysburg, pa?? haha shit i live like 5 minutes from there!
Yeah, I don't know where they were from. They were gray. Must be nice to be able to fly an awesome plane, and fly over the most hallowed of grounds.
I think they should sell one to me haha
A-10 pilots have got to be some of the coolest people in the world !
Freaking AWESOME !
Makes your arm hairs stand up doesn't it.
Thanks for sharing! How fast they did the 180 never gets old
shit fuck that , if i heard an a a-10 turbo fan in the air like at 1:00 I would be running, I dont care if its just an airshow, its an a10
Funny thing is, if you were meant to be killed, unless you were REALLY well hidden, you'd be dead before you heard it.
+Michaelc136 Yeah, and then when you look up and see that silhouette not moving, but only getting bigger...that's the moment you shit your pants.
The first time I ever heard this was sitting in a foxhole surrounded and covered by trees in the woods at Fort Polk, LA on a training mission. Scared. The. Crap. Out of me! Love it though!
It's a sound I never will forget and still gives me shivers listening to it.
One of my favorite WARBIRDS!!!
I love the A10 ,I remember when they were at Bentwaters/Woodbridge in the UK ,I would spend ages watching them on my school holidays .
122 Blacksnakes Ft.Wayne Indiana fly over the house often. I still run outside to look it never gets old.Especially when they're flying low enough to see the pilot
I love that little "phew" after they pass by.
Goosebumps man, that engine sound is very distinctive!!
That plane turn is what made me feel safe
Love the sound of those monsters! Pure gold!
Great Video and the best A-10 Clip
The sound of the power- Wonderful !
I bet the enemies that heard that were shitting themselves
Brrrrrappppp! The sound of the gun firing is incredible. We used to hear them at the Goldwater range in Arizona.
In the early 80s with my family i was going up the side of a mountain to Breezewood in pa and a flight of four a10s went up the valley next to us about level with the cars on the turnpike. Never will forget it.
Chills. My favorite Cloud killers. Thank you!
When I was a kid me and .y dad were fishing and we heard these planes coing low and the child me started waving like an idiot and making my dad wave too well we watched them quickly turning and they passed by even lower my dad had a bigger smile than I did that's one memory with my dad ill never forget next day he bought me an a10 model kit. Those pilots have no idea how grateful I am to this day that they did that.
A ground pounders best friend when it comes to close air support. Nothing will ever replace the BRRRRRRRRR of freedom rain.
1:02 reminds me of the stuka siren !
I love the screech these make as they go past you
The sounds of the scythes of death passing by. Excellent ground vermin control tool.
1:19 POV: you know you’re cooked 😂😂
@bulletstop100
It was in Northwestern Montana at a private airstrip
Thx I was wondering. I also used to watch them @ Hill afb, doing my landscaping job in Clearfield UT.
