I agree.i hate math and i always fail that subject.one day,our class had new teacher and she is really commited.she teach us math in simple way and interesting.as time goes by,i started to love math and on final exam,i got A+ for math!!i literally crying show her my result.i am really thankful to her bcoz of her teaching method,i got A+.from F to A+.

I think its because it's basic english that kids in Korea nowadays all know especially in writing so she must feel upset at one point as a parent that her daughter is really behind. At first, I was shocked at how she made mistakes in spelling out numbers but I realized her family has been through difficult situations where education wasn't a priority for the daughter so I understood how she wasn't motivated to sit down and focus in her academics. I have been through a similar situation as her so I can relate to her.. Vernon is doing great though! He helped her improve so much in such a small period. so proud! (:
Christine Oh i also watched that part where they shared about their family's financial status and somehow it also shed light to me on why the mom reacted like that. regardless, i hope she at least congratulated her on her achievement before pointing out inmediately the one mistake she did. though i can see that this family only has so much love and care for each other and i sincerely hope the girl does well not just for this program but even after it 💕
Sunshine uwu haha I’m korean myself so I know how Korean parents are but I’m just stating in this mom’s situation in particular :) Yes, korean parents are strict in general but I think for this mother, she has her reasons. Either way, she showed amazing improvement! I’m sure she will get even better the more she practices :)

@김민니앞머리 기초부터 하는게 잘못되었다는것은 아니지만 학원.과외 같은 사교육을 다니는 것과 차이가 난다고 하더라도 초등학교 2,3학년 수준의 where같은 기본단어를 틀리는것은 살짝 좀 그래서 그런겁니다.
