I wonder if they come to soak in the hot water in summer also ? Somehow I only see pictures of them sitting in the hot water in snowy winter.

It's the culture only of the monkeys here to bathe in hot springs. The baby monkeys bathe in hot springs while being held by their mothers, and learn about its pleasure. And, when the baby monkeys become mother in the future, they would take their child in hot springs as their mothers did so formerly.
