  • New Bike Day! Shenanigans no more. I have departed from the Santa Cruz regime and now it's Polygon's turn to show up and show out. Are you a fan of the Siskiu? New chapter. Let's get it!

Thanks for sharing your T8 experience! I JUST got one this weekend. I ordered on Thursday, and it unexpectedly arrived on Saturday! It is the new green/gold color. Such a HUGE improvement over my 27yo Pro Flex Beast! I'm stoked about riding again. I decided to get this bike because of guys like you posting videos. Thank you!

It really is a great bike for the money. Just remember the stock tires will ride heavy with the inner tubes. And I’d be interested if you have the same issue with the dropper post switch. I had to buy something a little more user friendly. Enjoy the trails!

I got my t8 5 months ago, I shortened handlebar length, new seat , tires, and tubeless, I'm good to go for a while

Congrats! Changed my tires to 2.4s. Curious if you’re getting pedal strikes on your stock 175mm cranks? I’m thinking of 165s in the near future.

Hey just came across your channel. I got the Polygon T8 (same colour) in 2022 and love it. For the price you can't beat it and Spec'd with decent components. I did change a few things, tho.
The wheels were really heavy especially on the uphill climbs. I did have the Schwalbe hans damp which are way better than the Vee tires (which are really heavy), so I was lucky with that back then the T8 came with Schwalbe tires.
I puchased a set of used dtswiss m1900 for $700 which was a steal.
Also bought a Schwalbe wicked will rear tire for better and faster rolling. You will notice a huge difference if you make those changes. Also took out the tubes and made it tubeless.
Changed the saddle to WTB volt which was alot more comfortable. Not major changes but will definitely make your bike and riding experience so much better.
I sold the Stock wheelset for $350 so technically I paid $350 for the Dt swiss wheels. Brought the bike weight down to 33- 32.5lbs.
As for the tektro brakes...they are good. Tektro is same brand as TRP (higher brand). But just get bigger set of 200m tektro brake rotors ($50) and brake caliper adapers from ali express. Not that expensive for more and better stopping power.

I have the T7 and it’s great. Would like to upgrade to a lighter fork though

Thought about the T7 in the beginning, but also thought the components on the T8 would be worth the slight $ increase. Glad to hear it’s a solid bike. The Fox Rhythm is a bit front heavy if that’s what you have installed.

    Kickass video man! Subscribed!
But my first ever mountain bike 3 months ago. A 2024 Roscoe and I absolutely love it. I'm so deep into the MTV game now, I am wanting a full suspension. Not because I think it's better but because I want a different tool for a different job. My hardtail, this roscoe, will be the one bike I keep indefinitely that has quite literally saved my life.
Im wondering, right now full kit im 280lb
Think this will hold up? Polygon states 250lb rider weight but i fond thst surprising
    Thanks

Put a couple tokens in the fork, and change out the shock spacer and it does wonders for the suspension. Good choice in bike. I've had mine since 2020 and only have made a couple of upgrades : headset, dropper lever and front axle, all WT.

Thanks for the vid bro. What size is that dropper lever replacement? I’m on PNW website and don’t know which to pick.

Hey. I believe it’s the 22.2MM Loam Dropper. That should fit around most bars.

how do you like those handlebars?

I really like the Raceface bar. Should have went with more of a high rise, but it’s just as stable. Cutting carbon bars was new to me and I sort of splintered the material inside the hallow ends, if that makes any sense.

I still have my Chameleon hardtail, but you’re right, I kind of pigeonholed myself in hardtail hell. It’s all I ever owned until recently. Wish I could take a spin in multiple hardtails and make reviews yearly. Guess a name change is appropriate.
