Young Ngotso Lion Pride Brothers Looking Good - But Mother's In Bad Shape!

- Beautiful sighting of the five young Ngotso Pride Brothers.
Two of the three lionesses (mothers?) in this video look in very bad shape, probably reaching the end of their lifespan.
The two dominant Ngotso males were under pressure from the Ratelpan males, who were in and out of their territory.

Those beautiful young sub adult males will make a formidable coalition if the stay together. It is always sad to an injured animal but she will be OK as long as she can keep up with the pride. They are an incredibly beautiful pride.

I agree and I did mention the same things about her needing good meals and relaxation in another comment. These big beautiful boys aren't sharing the meals with these hard working beauties. I'm praying for momma lioness, they need a big buffalo or giraffe.

These boys are so very impressive looking and beautiful. They are looking as if they're going to be a mighty force. The strong bond between this pride is undeniable. I love how they kept moving from one to the other reaffirming their bond and the love displayed for mom and the other gorgeous girls. The big boys are probably eating all of the food from these hard working beauties and mom and the girls could use some good meals to fortify them. I'm hoping and praying that mom will get enough rest and she and the girls will be able to get enough food in them to build up their strength, the fact that she's able to keep up with them is very good. Hopefully, the boys will help them bring down some big meals in the days ahead and the next sighting will show improvement for mom and full bellies for all of the Queens as well. I enjoyed being introduced to this beautiful loving pride and wish them much success and a quick recovery for momma lioness. This is another great sighting.
THEY CAN HELP THE FAMILY HUNTING WHILE THEY ARE STILL PERMITTED TO STAY IN THE PRIDE.
@@seanlee7563 of course they can help if they were organised in the hunting game but unfortunately, they sit around and wait for the food to come to them lol and then eat the majority of it, that's why the males look so great & the females are struggling its typical male dominance with meals

What a great looking pride of lions! The sub-adult males are already huge in size. If they stick together in their future endeavors, they'll be a strong coalition, for sure.

Thank you for sharing this with us. Seems as if people could give them a bit more of thier space, the lions need to rest and not be stressed out!! Seems they could show more respect to our wildlife!! They are a beautiful pride and hopefully mom has a speedy recovery!! Hoping for the best for these Beauties!! Please keep us posted if you can!! Much respect and appreciation from North Carolina!!

Does anyone know what happened to the other 2 young males, there used to be 7. Hopefully the old lioness can get a meal. These boys will be something to watch in the future, especially if they take after their monstrous fathers.

Huge teeth marks are visible in the lioness right leg. She must’ve been attacked by different prides. That’s unfortunate and I hope she will recover.

Poor lionesses. Do they have TB? It's common among the lions of this area. It hurts my heart to see any animal failing (even though I know it's part of the natural process) but especially lions. They're such mighty predators and to see a lion hurting and sick disturbs me deeply. I hope the pride will be all right and that the young males for a successful coalition.💕🦁💕

I’m guessing a year down the road they’re out of the pride, if there’s six of them they’ll be quite formidable when they’re ready to challenge, if they don’t split up.

There should be a restriction as to how close ALL cars can get to wildlife.It's amazing what some of the comments are about. One would think they are describing humans and the dialog sounds similar to people discussing a SOAP OPERA. What a pitiful intrution for the lions. You would think the narrators would know better. Those lions could easily kill one of those photographers with their windows wide open.

Agree 100%. You’re not at the zoo people. It is sad that the lions don’t even seem bothered. The wild needs to be left alone. If someone gets killed then it is their own fault. I watched a video the other day of 2 open air safari trucks, sitting under a tree with a leopard in it, that an elephant was trying to push over. That kind of stupid just boggles my mind.

@@bellindj Yep. That is a great word. I won’t ever go on a safari, to the circus or a zoo. That last one usually upsets people because the animals are being ‘protected’. No. They are being exploited for financial gain. Just locked up in an inclosure or cage their whole life. Now I can understand breeding programs for endangered species since humans are responsible, 8 times out of 10, for extinction The best quote I have ever heard was from a Godzilla movie. The arrogance of men is thinking that nature is in our control and not the other way around.

I wonder what happened to her. Nothing seems to be broken because she wouldn’t be able to put any weight whatsoever on it and I don’t see any puncture wounds unless the visible sores have already healed. There must be e tear of a ligament or muscle. I hope she can get well and thrive again. I hate to see any injured animal.

I was not there but I have a guess as to why mom is hurting. There is a chance she got hurt during a hunt/kill. If you look at the sub-males they all look pretty well fed, but mom and at least 1 other lioness are pretty skinny. It is possible that whatever was killed the young males dominated it and ate most of it after the females killed it. It happens quite often, but again I was not there so I am only giving what MIGHT have happened. I am sure there are other possibilities, this is just my guess.
Its looked like everyone knew how to walked up and lying in order closer to each other.
