    looks like a cave. Is the stations hewn into the bedrock?

      I have read that there's a lot of granite in the Stockholm underground, so this seems to be the preferred construction method for many of the underground stations. In this case the station was planned to look like a big exploration site with fossils.

      @Mathias Marcilio: Yes, many stations in Stockholm were dug deep in bedrock

      Several of the stations (especially on the Blue Line) are left with the bedrock exposed, crude and unfinished, or as part of the decorations.
