Dr. Calin, this video is fantastic! That color match at the end was chef's kiss 💋! Been using Kriss to learn more about dental care but I couldn't find anything specifically about caring for overlays after placement. Could you share some advice on post-op care for the overlay to last a long time?

Self adhesive cements are rubbish. Perhaps you meant self etching?

I mean self adhesive cements like Relyx. Which in my experience is an excellent dual cement. Can you please explain why cements like Relyx, Gcem etc are in your opinion rubbish?

You’ll find it in whitening kits. It’s the same stuff you use to isolate the gingiva

Hi Dr. Is it normal to feel great sensibility after having an overlay done ? One week later and I can still feel the tooth “pulsing” after drinking cold or anything I eat. My dentist made an error ?
Si es una sensibilidad a los cambios de temperatura provocados por algún alimento frío o caliente debería ir pasando con los días. Si la sensibilidad se vuelve dolor espontáneo podrías necesitar una endodoncia. Si antes del overlays tenías molestias o dolor lo indicado era primero realizar la endodoncia y después la restauración.

Современная композитная пломба мало чем отличается от керамики, но плюсы в том, что всегда понятно её состояние : всегда можно малыми усилиями поправить эффект..а в этом случае нет...а потом огарки вместо коронки..извините конечно господа ортопеды...

Why put a yellow overlay instead of a nice white one ? Isn't the goal to have white teeth instead of yellow natural teeth, knowing that you can whiten them later on?

@@dorisgunther2217 What do you mean? The color cannot change, you have to replace it to match white natural teeth.
It's likely a zirconia onlay. This doesn't have the same refractive index as tooth enamel. It likely appears yellow under the dental light but in natural light or white light (like the photo at the end) it will appear a white colour and look perfectly shade matched. You'll notice in the end photo it looks great
