I'm relatively new to watching women's gymnastics...but been watching everything I can find and loving it immensely.......but I gotta say.....they call it Women's Artistic Gymnastics.......guess there's not a whole lot you can do artistically with vault and bars perhaps a little more......with beam.....well Sanne Wevers showed me/us artistry in 2016......don't mean to take away anything from the acrobatics performed.........cause its amazing to be sure......but for me ......when you see routines like this.......that really truly are a mix of art and gymnastics......this is the epitome of what the sport should be imho........I get the impression that the Olympic organization.....with all the sports its involved in......focuses to much on brawn over brain or power and strength over finesse and grace/elegance when it comes to WAG.......I've no idea how the point system is structured ....reflecting acrobatics vis a vis artistic element scoring......but it seems the latter isn't ranked as high.....perhaps half the judges should be ones that have an eye/soul for art/interpretation .......this is like painting the likes of Rembrandt/Picasso/Da Vinci with gymnastics.This IS artistry.
1:27 Wow, the other gymnast is watching Eythora's routine 😱 Gymnasts don't usually do that on qualifications except when the one's performing is Biles ... Too bad Eythora's downgrading a lot :(
No. It might not be shown on camera but you can see them watching when you go go live meets. They also cheer for their teammates and sometimes other gymnasts and you can hear that on tv all the time.

After a lot of math, the only way I could get a 4.6 was assuming they downgraded the Memmel to Y turn and switch leap 1/2 to switch leap (since the half turn was incomplete). So D, D, C + C, D, B, C, B + 0.1 + 2.0 = 4.6.
