Have played outbreak quite a few times with my mates( Round 32 is our best so far...) Here are a couple of tips we have noticed. These tips are mainly for the later rounds. On the Escort main mission, the zombies come in waves depending on how far along you have escorted the Rover, so at certain points after you have cleared the current wave and maybe struggling for armour or maybe you’ve gone down and lost some perks. You can leave the rover totally by itself and restock. The rover won’t move forward without you and no zombies will spawn near it until you come back and start to move it forward again. Also on Holdout, which is undoubtedly the hardest of the missions, there are a few spots on each room that for some reason the zombies can’t hit you, for example. On Holdout in the Alpine map it puts you in the room with the Jacuzzi/Baths. At one side of this room are some benches set back. Climb on top of these benches and sit in the corner. The zombies simply can’t reach you and for some reason they can’t climb up. The same works in the small room with the staircase. At the base of the staircase to the right is a small bookcase. Stand on top of this and again they can’t hit you. They can throw limbs at you but it’s easy to pick them off. The Megatrons can still hurl their vile pools at you but we always switch to the dead wire ammo mod before a holdout mission. Minces them ! And more thing. On world 1, always start a trial first thing. It’s the easiest time to get the reward upto legendary as you haven’t opened a chest yet and all zombies are still on the map. Once it’s legendary ( don’t worry if you don’t get it on the first trial, just don’t collect it and start a new trial...) when it’s legendary, DONT COLLECT IT. Leave it there. It will always be there ready for when you need it, even if you travel to the next world it will still be there. You can leave it there till say, round 7, 8 or 9 when your chances of dropping a ray gun are greatly improved. This is because the reward isn’t generated till you go to collect it .It’s not guaranteed to drop a wonder weapon but it does help. We have got the ray gun a few times this way. Hope any of this helps
Once I realized the reward carries over, I did exactly that. I knew I wouldn't get an awesome weapon early, so I left it until a later round and I don't grab the reward unless I have all my perks.=D

Little tip. On the defense rounds climb on the machine. It always has a side that you can climb on. Dogs and zombies wont be able to hit you (except ranged attacks) and most of the time stand still so you can easily kill them. Plus the fire and acid pools wont hit you. It also gives you a great 360 degree view around the machine so you dont have to run around it to kill a zombie on the other side of it
When you down with all your perks: use tombstone first, then if you down again quick revive, then your self revive. Using quick revive first gets rid of your tombstone perk either way!
Actually I would do it the other way around. If you have max tombstone then You get to keep your perks. I’d use my self revive 1st, quick revive(shoot a zombie while down), and finally tombstone to hold onto those perks
on retrieve objectives in co-op, deposit the first sample, then bring the second sample to the drop off, and just team up to farm zombies at their spawns and only desposit the second sample just before the timer expires, the endless zombie spawns if kept under control can provide a shitload of points which is kinda useful on the early rounds
@@hunterkai6772 if the timer ends on retrieve it always ends the game. what you smoking on.🥴 the canister doesn't do damage over time either. Wtf.. lmao
D.I.E. is real good at high rounds. The damage scales well and shreds boss zombies. I use ray-k, D.I.E. combo for high rounds. Ray-k for normal zombies and D.I.E. for bosses
Tip: If you feel overwhelmed at round 7 or 8, because you don't yet have the ray kay or ray gun, you should definitely get the D.I.E Machine. At these levels, they start dropping from chests more often, and if I don't have it I usually spin the mystery box to get it at these rounds. The suck ability for this weapon is really effective on the special and elite zombies, and it can help you get to around 10 or 11 without the ray gun.
you forget to mention this. You can drive while carrying the canister, but your car wi lose health due to the canister's radiation. So, prepare 2 cars for the canister retrieval objective.
Depending on how far it is, you can go from a canister, to the truck, to the other canister, and part of the way back with a full health bike, makes it very easy
I love the fact that He didn't take into account that The Game Crashes often or people get Disconnected so do yourself a favor and Try to max everything first by just doing around 7 solo Runs and Exfil. @@zakierasul i have a Ethernet cable and a fast internet and servers still keep crashing, even in solos. ill wait for the patch before i start grinding, it's so frustrating to get disconnected when you just done the boring part and got geared up.
I always get death machine very early in my game; it’s super versatile and strong as well as it shreds boss zombies, but pro tip, as long as you don’t use all the bullets on it, the ammo will refresh when you enter a new round/area. The same probably applies to war machine.
@@ravenflopper2572 l can pull it off with 1 full health car, but l just like to play it safer. car in cold war is harder to drive than car in mw for some reason
One full health motorcycle I can always do it, just about to explode as you get back with the second canister, hop off, pop the canister special and done.
I think Treyarch needs to do some more balancing I know they tried to make assault rifles and submachineguns stronger but they need to make them even stronger it sucks that you can literally only use two guns in the entire game to actually have fun and play
The issue is they need to start separate balancing, I feel they don't wanna buff those weapons since they would become to strong for multiplayer Shotguns aren't strong for Multi because you have to be within range and tac rifles forbid that
If they’re strong independent women who don’t need no man 😂😂😂😂 had me cracking up and laughing out loud in public lol god I needed that laugh today lol
With the retrieve objective in outbreak when you get the bug where you can't deposit the crystals, if you bring the two crystals over to the missile and drop one next to it and have one on you, once the count down hits 0 you don't fail it, it'll take a few seconds but it will start to bug out a bit and the canisters you collected will disappear but the "A" and "B" location will just move about to its various locations, however while doing so it will spawn an anomaly, meaning you can escape. I've seen various people complain about this bug with the only fix being "Don't press or hold the action button while running up to the missile" I have only done this at level 5 on Alpine however I could imagine it would work for the rest. Its maybe a fail safe just like with holdout and the bleed out strat.
I've had turned special's save my ass so many times. Especially Mangler and tempests. Invaluable, like when you run the missle silos in Operation Inversion, or even later defend rounds. Even escort's later on as well
The trick, is to not fire your Brain rot weapon for a while, and when you see a crowd, fire it at the special's first, it will ALWAYS turn them if it's past it's cool down period
Having multiple players use the D.I.E. Shockwave also works as the damage always scales to the enemies, it slows them down, and the damage rate with 2 players makes it better than the RAI-K. I don't know about 3 or 4 players, but that might be super OP
I'm surprised no one is mentioning it but on the retrieve quest in both co-op and solo you can drive a vehicle while holding the canister. It makes it go by much faster
On firebase I’ve realized multiple notes with possible cyphers or random words in 5 different locations by 5 chalkboards (note there are other similar chalkboards around the map but with no notes.) and I haven’t seen anything about these anywhere online. 1st in spawns power room, 2nd left as soon as you enter military command, 3rd as you enter planning offices, 4th in weapons lab, 5th looks a little off but is by the window by dr peck. Spawn #1: BOUQK Military Command #2: TSAGR Planning Offices #3: YMWVC Weapons lab #4: JXDHN Dr. Peck #5: VEKDICT PLFIE
There is a trial for picking up essence and salvage, and I activated it while I had a legendary ready to claim and picked up so much that I instantly went back up to legendary. I claimed it again and then I only went up to rare, but I think if you get lucky you can get multiple in a row. So activate trials before you claim your legendary reward
6:24 THE COALESCE JINGLE HOLY SHIT. The old one from BO3's intro has been my notification sound SINCE then. Dude I didn't even realize that it is the same jingle. I have to update this now wow. I literally hear the old jingle all damn day and it never clicked in my head that we have an updated version. Thank you so much for this tiny revelation Milo 😸😸
I've never seen a Tempest/ 'Avogadro' fly away like that 23:48 xD The very good thing about outbreak if your an experienced zombie slayer, is that you can come up with many strategies for those difficult moments, but also in coop carrying can really suck during late rounds depending on how you usually play, aside from the fact that more enemies spawn, because that can really go 2 ways, you like it and take advantage of the extra points and xp or it really screws you over
If you have a free perk mission on round 1, it's more 'cost-effective' if you were to kill some zombies first to get 2500 points, then buy jugg first at 2500. Not only does making the free-perk mission easier, it saves you an extra 500 points towards buying your next thing because the cost of each perk goes up 500 points each time you get a new one
Just finished a game at round 12. Round 11 I did the same thing. But the DIE secondary fire for reloading is op in solo. Saw a 4 man video where they were in holdout on rd 20 in the two story house. All those DIE machine made the round super easy. Moral is that the DIE is worth having.
I recommend prioritizing your weapon if you're more experienced. I personally don't get tier 2 armor till world 3 or 4, and I don't go down. But right around 5-7 you're gonna NEED tier 3 armor. But personally I like making sure I have legendary Hauer by 5 or 6. But still definitely worth it to focus on weapon if you know you can survive. I also don't recommend buying scorestreaks until tier 4 at least because you can find soooo many of them around the map and its worth it to keep those instead of wasting the already scarce scrap on a scorestreak you may not even use. Focus on your essentials and what you use most (Perks, Armor, Gun) Everything else is secondary.
one thing i've noticed when playing is that the objectives are random for your first 5 rounds but will cycle back through the same loop every time so if you have a defense objective on round 1 you will have it again on round 6, 11, 16, ect. i'm not sure how helpful this is but if you dont want to do a hold out on rounds 7-10 you can always reset until you get a holdout on round 1. I think the maps work the same way so it is possible to prepare ahead of time for things to do for rounds 6-10 while setting up for high rounds
Tip; -D.I.E is super underated on suction. If you have 4 players your secondary should be the shockwave in any objective we had 4 on suction, in a tight space, holdout everything gets destroyed, even 3 Megas in the train station side room. -In Alpine solo, just do laps of the main room, no matter the difficulty they's run on and be trained in the center. -before Retrieve missions get 3-4 cars nearby for ease.
Hey Milo, not sure if anyone knows, but when driving vehicles and using your "steer" as for me its RS for Xbox, if you click it, it changes the songs while driving, so you can listen to different tunes. Although i thought it would boost my driving just like sprint. Im happy to know that. And to this moment im using your cryofreeze strat until i get more crystals to upgrade my skills!
i was sceptical about the armor field upgrade at first, because it makes all zombies come after you, but it pretty much doubles your hp because all damage is inflicted on armor, its also just good for filling back up your armor completely, mostly if you have tier 4 jug, very cool and zombies explode
@@johan9388 sorta? I say outbreak is alot harder now if your playing solo It's more manageable with more people or friends because its recommended to use different field classes but most importantly you have one person use frenzied and another toxic vines because they are useful for defend objectives and ECM rockets which will be destroyed very quickly past round 7 Shotgun is still best weapon but may struggle with ammo if using hauer Gallos has more ammo but still weaker
Little bonus to the AA if u don't like cryo then brain rot does more damage to tempests and at tier 5 it can turn three from the explosion and dead wire can wipe out hordes by jumping between the zombies it can also stun special enemies
That's good to know. I got a Ray gun from an Orda fight on round 2 but didn't get Wonder Weapon drops from 4 and up only 3 or 4 legendary guns per Megaton
In all of the high rounds I play, I normally have a huge amount of scrap so during the retrieval mission I throw a monkey bomb right before I get to the area. Target priorities in this order Dogs Tempest's That Big armored juggernaut thing Running Zombies then Manglers
Get a legendary award and have someone grab it just before finishing the main objective. It usually gives double points, and means you’ll get a heap of points early on
In my public games they usually speedrun it down til round 3 and leave me alone. I had on round 7 ~1700 kills and one random had ~300. i literally dont know how he did it. And no, i did not steal .
What's with that?? Dude trying to exfil world 1-3 like wtf??? You don't get any crystals that way, and I don't why they do it other than crystal farming, so...????!?

I know Milo probably won’t see this so if everyone could like this comment that would be massively appreciated!! Whilst playing Outbreak in Alpine in one of the houses at the bottom of the map (usually where the holdout crystal spawns) I came across a teddy bear (the bunny that comes in the box before it disappears) on a bed in the house which came up as an item and prompted me to pick it up, it was early in the game and I wasn’t able to pick it up, even spamming the interact did nothing. Maybe this has something to do with a side quest or maybe the main Easter egg. I haven’t seen it posted or talked about any where else so what a better place to post but here.
Excellent guide. I enjoy watching your videos. The 3 hour 40 minute one with chopper and Jonah was great. Love your strat. Mine starts slightly different. My troubles start around Round 7. I think my hands are tied as I think skill is very important at this point. I've been to round 10 now lol
I've found that leveling up the trial machine to legendary once or twice in the first section really sets you ahead of the pack super worth it cause even if you don't get a wonder weapon it will give you either a free perk or a packed gun so it pays off and the trials tend to be really easy for the most part
@@xXs5hortyXx ya your right so it can be a gamble but I don't get them that much though usually it's a perk and that's what I'm trying to get saves a ton it nice when the wonder weapons pop up to but I run the 77 so there not a must have
I never get past round 8 or 9 when I match make with randoms online because either they rage quit and back out because they die on early rounds, or they Exfil early asf because they can’t take the pressure of higher rounds 😂 Somebody on the mic was talking shit (even though my mic was off) because I chose to keep my Rai Kai instead of dropping it for the Ray Gun, he said it’s trash compared to the Ray Gun and I won’t get high rounds with it, but he Exfils at round 8 when I kept trying to use the portal to go into higher rounds. I also went down by playing aggressive to help out the team who wasn’t doing anything at all and he blames my death for not having a Ray gun but had way more deaths than me. Whenever I play with friends we always get past round 20, the Rai Kai is extremely useful by slowing down all those aggressive bosses like you said. And I thought I was the only one who uses and likes cryofreeze because it’s OP! I legitimately don’t see anyone else using it

With the wall buys being random, I was wondering if you thought buying a legendary level gun on world 1 or 2 from the wall would be worth it if available. They’re usually around 4,500 essence but I feel you can do more with your salvage while still melting zombies early game
I do not buy wall guns myself. I run straight for the trial machine at start of map and start that. I will usually get a perk or a weapon from the legendary trial gift. The weapons you get from that come with one pack a punch on them. I always load in with the Gallo to start. Then I am working towards a wonder weapon with trials and such.
There's loads more content to come this is only the start of outbreak. Treyarch wanted to see how the community digests it first because they work on bigger updates for the mode
A Very Helpful Tip, When a Megaton is low on HP run it over with a car instead of letting it split, the megaton will not split and die instantly soon as the mode was released and killing zombies with vehicles was sooo fun to do
I love how last week my personal record for solo was round 8 and I kept get the Golova holdout and dying. Somehow after they fixed it to make it harder I'm on round 19 now and not having any trouble
Tip to make holdout easy on any round:(i got to round 50). On every holdout look for a openable door, then open the door on the side which the smaller room is in (zombies don’t throw meat as much) and then climb on top the door (vault up) and only use your shotgun because the ray gun will destroy the door, the zombies should stack up below but some might throw meat, target the meat throwing zombies and it should be easy
I play on PC since launch and dont have that issue. What I have tho is CONSTANT disconnects from host. Sometimes its every game in a row I get to world 2, or end of 1 and BOOM, game over. I've played 5 in a row like this before finally getting a game that goes to world 6 or 7. I prefer solo mode due to it
Man my ps5 suddenly just stops and says the game crashed and I Haye when lobbies disconnect but I live in basement and run off wifi but ehh I'm too lazy to fish the thernet cable downstairs lol
Just tried this, finished 10 made it to the final of 11 with cryo 4 upgraded to 5 see what happens next. Thanks, man never would have tried the cryo move it's awesome. The previous best was finishing 8 dying in 9 every time. baddies go down so much better with cryo and shotty. Oh best advice, don't clear map. I was fully upgraded by 7 with wonder weapon at 8 fully packed.
Guys, don’t sleep on the Frost blast ability. When it’s fully upgraded you get 3 charges. In a defence situation I’ve used it and saved our team as all the zombies become insta kill and they’ve been stopped in their tracks. Seriously handy. Also thanks Joey.
Everything you said in this video I agreed with except Brain Rot, I'd say Brain Rot does extra damage to not only Mimics but Tempest too and though mimics don't spawn in that much, Tempest do spawn in... alot... So brain rot takes down two special enemies while the other ammo mods only take down one type... Also Shatter Blast damages Panzers too... Other than that everything you said is the best ideas I've seen...

on retrieve objectives in co-op, deposit the first sample, then bring the second sample to the drop off, and just team up to farm zombies at their spawns and only desposit the second sample just before the timer expires, the endless zombie spawns if kept under control can provide a shitload of points which is kinda useful on the early rounds

At these levels, they start dropping from chests more often, and if I don't have it I usually spin the mystery box to get it at these rounds. The suck ability for this weapon is really effective on the special and elite zombies, and it can help you get to around 10 or 11 without the ray gun.

I've seen various people complain about this bug with the only fix being "Don't press or hold the action button while running up to the missile"
I have only done this at level 5 on Alpine however I could imagine it would work for the rest. Its maybe a fail safe just like with holdout and the bleed out strat.
I was so mad when this happened to me the other day.
I deposited one canister and couldn’t with the other
Every time I manage to turn a mimic, mangler or tempest there’s no other zombies around and they just explode.

The very good thing about outbreak if your an experienced zombie slayer, is that you can come up with many strategies for those difficult moments, but also in coop carrying can really suck during late rounds depending on how you usually play, aside from the fact that more enemies spawn, because that can really go 2 ways, you like it and take advantage of the extra points and xp or it really screws you over
If you have a free perk mission on round 1, it's more 'cost-effective' if you were to kill some zombies first to get 2500 points, then buy jugg first at 2500. Not only does making the free-perk mission easier, it saves you an extra 500 points towards buying your next thing because the cost of each perk goes up 500 points each time you get a new one
Be nice if u could use a chopper gun on a holdout, I tried it once... it didn't end well to say the least.
Yea i tried it when was in a rough spot and yea got me downed
Huge tip, I can finally make it to a high round because I will be inspired by Rick Astley
Just to clarify for people, press the sprint button to cycle through the songs in the mixtape you have equipped in a vehicle.
i was sceptical about the armor field upgrade at first, because it makes all zombies come after you, but it pretty much doubles your hp because all damage is inflicted on armor, its also just good for filling back up your armor completely, mostly if you have tier 4 jug, very cool and zombies explode
You should make an updated video of this
Agreed

I say outbreak is alot harder now if your playing solo
It's more manageable with more people or friends because its recommended to use different field classes but most importantly you have one person use frenzied and another toxic vines because they are useful for defend objectives and ECM rockets which will be destroyed very quickly past round 7
Shotgun is still best weapon but may struggle with ammo if using hauer
Gallos has more ammo but still weaker
Little bonus to the AA if u don't like cryo then brain rot does more damage to tempests and at tier 5 it can turn three from the explosion and dead wire can wipe out hordes by jumping between the zombies it can also stun special enemies
Megatons have a higher chance of dropping a wonder weapon from world 4 up. Even megatons that just random spawn.
