Love your tutorials, you get to the point yet give necessary details, your camera is always on the actual work and it is clear. You do not talk to us about what fingernail polish you are wearing or any blah blah so I thank you sooooo much for providing us with these EXCELLENT tutorials, keep up the good work...
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your support!
I love it when you watch a good 'how-to' video like yours. It's complete and very easy to understand. I'd like to add this: your voice is pleasing and very soothing. Oh, I love your accent, too! Thanks for teaching this stitch so well!
I am busy with a blanket and was not sure what type of border I should make and a friend mentioned the Revers stich, I said what a great idea! I NEVER heard of such a stich. I was to embarrassed to ask her what it is cause I have been crocheting longer than her! So I went on TH-cam and you popped up first! I want to compliment you on your tutorials and the quality of your videos, they are absolute great!! You have a new Fan!! Stay safe!! Greetings from South Africa ❤️🧶
I just completed a huge (10.5 x 12.5)blanket for my son. I added a 3 hdc border and wanted complete it with the rsc. Don’t do it often enough to remember even though it’s so easy . Your tutorial is excellent- to the point with the best camera angles. Thanks so much - keeping this one for next refresher. North Texas
I’ve had difficulty trying to perfect this stitch and have viewed several videos and this is the best tutorial! Thank you SO much
I usually take advantage if the really slow play. That helps for me.
HELLO PLANETJUNE! Just want to thank you for making this tutorial so easy. First time here and plan to check things out. Be well 🧶
You're very welcome, Maria!
I love your video! You explained the stitch very simply. I love that you spoke slowly while you crocheted slowly to show exactly how the stitch is done. Thank you for the video!
Thank you for this video! I had never hear of this stitch before but you made it clear as a bell! An excellent finish for my baby blanket!
Thank you for all your tutorials, they are so easy to understand.
I agree with the previous comment. I have tried and failed to master this stitch for years. You made it so simple and easy to do. Thank you!
Thank you so much , I never thought I would be able to crochet such a wonderful stich,I am only a beginner. You have made your tutorial so clear that make thing looks difficult become easy
That was great to see it done up close. I have been have problems with this stitch today & I did not know about the chaining one before I started. thanks June.
There's an interesting variation on the RSC. Once you finish the stitch as you've demonstrated, you insert the hook through the two front strands and single crochet to the end of the row. Really pretty finishing stitch.
thanks so much! there have been many tears as I looked at the description of this stitch and somehow I could never do it right, i was pulling up a loop on the INSIDE of the first loop and I was so confused at first thx for the demonstration :)
Thanks for the clear easy to follow instructions and demo
You're very welcome 😊
Your video helped me learn the crab stitch very easily. I didn't think I'd be able to learn from a video but have. Great explanation. Thanks!
So clear and easy to follow, thank you!
This is the best video! I finally got it on the first try 🙏🏾
Thank you sooooo much. I need this stitch for a bucket hat
Thank you for this video. Came across a RSC in a pattern and had no idea what it was lol
thanks for the close-up look at how to do this stitch. I've only just heard of this stitch(as I have only been crocheting a little while, like carole)
Blessings be on you for blessing me with this stitch. It is Easy Beautiful and Convenient. Thanks
You're very welcome!
I'm glad I found your video. I needed to know how to do it for a project. Thanks.....
Thank you so much for this! I saw this on another video and was totally confused what she was doing
Excellent explanation and demonstration! Thankyou.
Thanks June! I wish I thought to watch this before I attempted the crab stitch/ reverse single crochet on my project during these reindeer games.
Take care 🙏🏽💜🧶😻
Glad it was helpful! At least you'll know for next time 😉
Thank you June 💜🙏🏽
Thank you! I found your video quick and easy to understand and to follow. It was very helpful. 👍

You are my hero in crochet 🧶🧶❤ world thanks 👍😊
Aww, thank you so much! 🥰
Thank you for your help. I can now do reverse single crochet.
Thank you so much 🖤🖤🖤
Excellent tutorial, thank you. I'm also interested in your cute little lip-balm holder. Do you have instructions for that too?
Thanks Melissa! Yes, you can find the pattern at www.planetjune.com/lipbalmholder 😊
Very nice und easy way to make it. Thank you.
Thank you! This was so helpful :)
You're welcome!
Thanks June! I was stuck on how to do this stitch.
Thanks soo much, this was really clear and helpful! I'm using this stitch on your Christmas box pattern! Which by the way is turning out really awesome!!! :)
Yes very easy to understand. I'm making a pair of baby booties and I thought oh no what the heck is reverse crochet. It will give the finished product a nice touch.
Always love her how to's. Thank you
please help ive watched many videos but mine is still comming out looking like a normal single crochet :( any suggestions why this is happening?
Thank you. This was very helpful!
thank you great video straight to the point!
Thanks for the video. What is the stitch for the swatch you’re using?
I made this video too long ago to remember, but it looks like basic rows of single crochet to me. You can use reverse single crochet to add an edging to any stitch pattern.
@@planetjune thanks you, appreciate the reply
Thanks again for great instruction!
Thank you for the demonstration.
I wanted to do this on the edge of a blanket. I finished the blanket, so the row would start fresh. If I single crochet with the wrong side facing me, wouldn't that be the same thing?
Thanks!
I would love to do this for the edge of a shawl, but I do not have the defined stitch into which to crochet (top edge of v-shawl). Would I first have to make a row of single crochet and then reverse crochet into that? I’ve had this incomplete shawl lying around for ages as I’ve not been happy with the top edge - I think this could work - your opinion please 🙏🏻 TIA
Yes, I think your idea sounds good! You could do it without the row of sc first, but then you'd have more to think about at once (where to place each stitch, plus actually forming the rsc stitches) - so your idea will make that much simpler, as you'll have a nice stable edge to rsc into.
Thank you!
Thanks so much for this very helpful video!
❤❤ thank you!!
is this what you do when the pattern doesn't state mr or turn in the patter? Thanks
No, Arlene, this is a technique for a final decorative edging row *only* - it doesn't leave loops for you to crochet back into, so you wouldn't use it in the main part of a pattern.
Thank you
Thank you, this was very helpful
Wow nice!
Thanks!
Lindossss!!! obrigado pela prontos lindos querida bjos
mine has a little gap between each coil what am I doing wrong?.... I figured it out!! :) :) The beginning was just a little lose... It looks like yours now. Thank you for your video.... :)
thank you never seen that before as only been crocheting for a one year
Beautiful!
Is this the crab stitch?
That's right! Crab stitch is an alternative name for reverse single crochet 🙂
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله تعالى وبركاته
You mean backwards
♥♥♥♥♥
Thank you but you should take the barking dog away.
Thanks, Cheryl. When I filmed this in 2011 I only had an old camcorder to work with, so there is a bit of street noise and possibly a Canada Goose you can hear faintly in the background! (I don't think there were any dogs barking though...) Rest assured, my recording equipment is much better these days, and you shouldn't hear *any* background noise in my recent videos ;)
Nope. Can’t see where/which stitch you are going into.
Nope it didn’t work can u try going slower this video made my cry it’s too fast I can’t do it ur video didn’t work sorry.. (no hate but it’s not helping me..
I'm sorry to hear that! You can change the playback speed to watch my hook moving more slowly - try slowing the speed to 0.5 so you can watch it in slo-mo, and see if that helps.
@@planetjune ty will do
Thank you!
