I would describe your style as elegant, worldly and artistic. And it's not generic looking like so many on TH-cam (the white on white on white.) Yours is very distinctive and reflective of your style your interests and travels. And you are so innovative-- the ceiling and light in your bathroom, using the cabinets for my IKEA to make a panel wall giving lots of storage, the mural on the back of your front door, all the black accessories you painted, all the animal statues which are all very tasteful not tacky combined with the plants to bring nature into your space. Love The Bee on the door, absolutely amazing. And it's great that you remember every place you got every item, that means so much more to you than just going to a home store or buying things online everything surrounding you reminds you of people and places what an incredible daily reminder of a good life lived.

I ADORE your apartment and how you've decorated it with a clever mix of High/Low items that have added layers of colour and textures along with interesting stories of origin throughout. The black painted secretary in the living room is an absolute KNOCKOUT - BRAVO! But by far my Favourite details in your place are your Artwork displays composed of framed original paintings and/or prints and the plethora of animal sculptures. Such a wild, varied and utterly delightful mix and match menagerie of exotic and domestic wildlife living in perfect harmony on your walls ; under furniture; or tucked inside your houseplants.; it's like being on a visual safari and you as the tour guide- what a ride- I want to go again!
Listening to you talk about the things in your home reminds me of recently my adult son was looking around my house when he came over and ask why so much stuff displayed. My mom was a professional singer and had an International Agent that sent her on gigs that would last months at a time. My mom had lots of plants 🪴, Buddha figures, pictures of cats 🐈 , little pigs 🐖 and mostly decor from Turkey. I was a model for 15 years and I loved the sketches of your model friends too. I’m moving to Florida next year and you’ve inspired me to unpack the things from my past and use them in my decor. Thank you❤

I love what you've done to decorate your home. My BFF says her husband is into minimalism and doesn't want to purchase anything to decorate their home. But I like a home with character and warmth and all the little personal touches. I also decorate on a budget. I find so many beautiful and interesting pieces at thrift stores, especially at the Restore which is connected to Habitat for Humanity. When I go to purchase such items, the clerks always ask me if I am buying so much because I plan to resell the items. But I say no, this is all for myself. LOL. I especially love old lamps and antique dishes. I really like what you did with painting accents black throughout your home. Your paint jobs look very professional. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm inspired to start collecting again. I stopped for a while after many thrift stores in my area shutdown during the pandemic lockdown. Also, I talked myself into stopping because I have run out of room to store things and have put some things in my garage while I figure out what to do with them. My two big mirrors the one in the hallway and the one upstairs and from habitat the one here was amazing not so much anymore …now it’s price higher than a department store. I love it but hard to turn into your own when you live in rental housing. We are not allowed to apply any different colors, shelves, lights to ceilings or walls. I wouldn't spend thousands on a bathroom that wasn't mine even if they allowed it. I do thrift and lot of my items come from thrifting and I am wanting to redecorate my place but have odd layout . I love the sofa you have and trying to find one similar to it.
Yes that’s hard when you don’t own , but you can still do the lots and little things also the sofa is the eight footer from IKEA I think it’s discontinued but it may not be🎃🍂

OMG I have exactly the same design aesthetic as you. I know that some people would think that your apartment is cluttered, but for me, it’s pure heaven. For a long time I used to think I really have to clean up my apartment. But then I realized everything I have I love and it all brings me joy, so that’s it, that’s who I am, that’s what I like. I love to be surrounded by objects that have an emotion or memory attached to them, so now I make no apologies to anybody, my apartment is how I like it and truly, I love it. Thanks for sharing, as other reviews have commented, it’s really wonderful to watch a TH-camr who lives in a real space and has a real budget, any idiot can design a space if they have thousands to spend, the real talent is working within a budget and achieving the kind of results you have. The black painted secretary in the living room is an absolute KNOCKOUT - BRAVO!
But by far my Favourite details in your place are your Artwork displays composed of framed original paintings and/or prints and the plethora of animal sculptures.

One thing that really stands out for me is how much you appreciate your things. I admire how you appreciate your old fridge and small stove. I wish that more people would do that,, instead of throwing things out because they're old or not trendy. It's such a throw away society. You make everything look great.

I just found you and subscribed!!❤ Your home reminded me of my mom and all the places we traveled when I was a child. My mom was a professional singer and had an International Agent that sent her on gigs that would last months at a time. My mom had lots of plants 🪴, Buddha figures, pictures of cats 🐈 , little pigs 🐖 and mostly decor from Turkey.

I love what you've done to decorate your home. My BFF says her husband is into minimalism and doesn't want to purchase anything to decorate their home. But I like a home with character and warmth and all the little personal touches. I also decorate on a budget. I find so many beautiful and interesting pieces at thrift stores, especially at the Restore which is connected to Habitat for Humanity. When I go to purchase such items, the clerks always ask me if I am buying so much because I plan to resell the items. But I say no, this is all for myself. LOL. I especially love old lamps and antique dishes. I really like what you did with painting accents black throughout your home. Your paint jobs look very professional. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm inspired to start collecting again. I stopped for a while after many thrift stores in my area shutdown during the pandemic lockdown. Also, I talked myself into stopping because I have run out of room to store things and have put some things in my garage while I figure out what to do with them. Again, thank you for this lovely video.
My two big mirrors the one in the hallway and the one upstairs and from habitat the one here was amazing not so much anymore …now it’s price higher than a department store. I love it but hard to turn into your own when you live in rental housing. We are not allowed to apply any different colors, shelves, lights to ceilings or walls. I wouldn't spend thousands on a bathroom that wasn't mine even if they allowed it. I do thrift and lot of my items come from thrifting and I am wanting to redecorate my place but have odd layout . I love the sofa you have and trying to find one similar to it.
Yes that’s hard when you don’t own , but you can still do the lots and little things also the sofa is the eight footer from IKEA I think it’s discontinued but it may not be🎃🍂

OMG I have exactly the same design aesthetic as you. I know that some people would think that your apartment is cluttered, but for me, it’s pure heaven. For a long time I used to think I really have to clean up my apartment. But then I realized everything I have I love and it all brings me joy, so that’s it, that’s who I am, that’s what I like. I love to be surrounded by objects that have an emotion or memory attached to them, so now I make no apologies to anybody, my apartment is how I like it and truly, I love it. Thanks for sharing, as other reviews have commented, it’s really wonderful to watch a TH-camr who lives in a real space and has a real budget, any idiot can design a space if they have thousands to spend, the real talent is working within a budget and achieving the kind of results you have. My hubby and I live in a ground level 836 sq ft condo but I am fortunate to have a small yard/garden and patio area to enjoy. Love gardening. You have done amazing things with your place.
