Luke is a beast. Yet he has many sets ide walk out on. In this one, I'm not sure what mood he was in but he put down some banging old school tracks (n genres). ✊🏻👍🏼🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The SmirnoffHouse at Creamfields featured a huge Void Soundsystem and banging sets from Nervo, Hot Since82, Hatcha, Richy Ahmed and many more. Powered by a VOID soundsystem and complete with balcony and fully stocked cocktail bars, the arena is the perfect place to see some big name acts in an intimate environment. Lee Foss, Christoph, Amine Edge & Dance, Dom Townsend, Marvin Humes, Michael Mandal&Forbes, and Cream Residents also all played.
o m g ! LaidBack Luke, this is tha best set I ever saw ya play, such a good track choice & lotta styles mixed up "a la OLDSKOOL " this is such a BANGER Luke :p thx thx & THX again 4 this beauty 8-)
Smoke strobe and uv would help these youngsters understand ;) long gone are the days when staff would fill a place so full of smoke you couldnt see your hand in front of your face. Every time it cleared you entered yet another realm!
Considering that most of this set was produced before many in the audience were born, not terribly surprising. Man I feel old. I was in fact expecting more actual acid house, though.
i am 22 and i love blue monday . i always go back to the old skool genres and i wish that the acid sound would come back more than just in neurofunk and shake things a bit
Transitions at 0:42 and 1:42 will fuck your mind. So awesomely groovy and dark. I wonder where can I get more music like THAT one. I mean sets, that are groovy and dark as those I mentioned.
bro Laidback luke is no stick for one genre is always change ; is Real dj can make any style of music and is Oldschool dj , i think you know laidback luke no prepare here set , playing live and choose tracks live , waiting when the full B2B set of Laidback luke and dave clark out
exactly ...he just play what the audience want, so every set is different ...sometimes new songs, sometimes old and sometimes something completly different :)
He needs to do more acid house this is like his only house mix i bet he would make some sick hard house drops i like laidback luke mostly for his drops he is also a great dj
Luke you should give that custom Smirnoff bottle as a friendly gift to some "real" top 10 DJ who has time to drink it up during his set while doing nothing else. It actually might give him courage to touch the buttons .)
Oh these nowadays people- totally don't know how to have fun. Such music and they almost don't move! They should watch some early 90's raves shots so they could learn how to rave! :D
how can you not play LFO LFO?? this ain't no retro warehouse rave set, I'm sorry but there are Rave DJs in the uk from that scene who are far better then luke example Carl Cox, Colin D, Ellis D , he even never played Joey B Energy Flash one of the biggest on vinyl

I wouldn't describe this set as authentic "Acid House" as to me this period represents the mid to late '80's. This set kicks off with a Dutch Techno track from the peak Rave era and whilst it features plenty of Roland TB-303 from the likes of Hardfloor they didn't appear on the scene until the early 90's... Wink's Higher State Of Consciousness wasn't released until the mid 90's! I'm not dissing the set and I'm not saying the DJ is responsible for the description. I'm just saying it's not the classic oldskool set that I hoped it would be.

I love Luke. Had the privilege of meeting him in person a couple of times. Because I was on his web forum. Such a genuinely nice guy.
Good to see him not blasting out commercial bull... back to the early days
The tunes on this mix where mostly run of the mill tunes heard at every rave, borderline commercial, some crossed over
@@dmomcilovic9185 where are you djing and producing at punk smell you later daniel momomomomcilovic hahaha
Luke is a beast. Yet he has many sets ide walk out on. In this one, I'm not sure what mood he was in but he put down some banging old school tracks (n genres). ✊🏻👍🏼🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I agree its to lite up for an acid set, Back in the day a smoke machine, strobe & laser in a basement or warehouse and some purple om's did the trick.
I would just like to add, how very talented and crafted your work is! This is rather spectacular! We're having a little 'rave' in the kitchen!!!
Nice set, some really good classics.
Mixmag you should add tracklists in the description for these sets.
It's always funny to have a DJ drop Blue Monday and find the people who know / don't know the track
Considering that most of this set was produced before many in the audience were born, not terribly surprising. Man I feel old. I was in fact expecting more actual acid house, though.
I was listening and almost wished he dropped the Hardfloor remix but it wasn't so predictable to do the original
Serious what would life be like if ya never heard Blue Monday
i am 22 and i love blue monday . i always go back to the old skool genres and i wish that the acid sound would come back more than just in neurofunk and shake things a bit
I was truly expecting more acid myself. This set varied for sure.
Loved the Daft Punk drop myself. Many can't/know how to use their classics
Anyone here in 2018? Also anyone admiring the style of music? Fuck I couldn’t imagine rolling and listening to this shit back in the day at a rave.
WOW! This is what it used to sound like. Leave it to guys like this, they were there after all.
WISH LUKE DID MORE STUFF LIKE THIS ITS DOPE!!!!!
for real!
Depends on the party. Occasion if you will. 🤷🏻♂ Mood?
*I usually hear this *(style{house}) from him and pass on his mainstream/commercial stuff
Some of these tunes took me way back
I swear to God one of the best sets ever. fuck
Anybody else triggered by the red lining of master Luke?
Ya know what they say, "If you're not red lining, you're not headlining" haha
Transitions at 0:42 and 1:42 will fuck your mind. So awesomely groovy and dark.
I wonder where can I get more music like THAT one. I mean sets, that are groovy and dark as those I mentioned.
Im the dude from 13:26 on the left with the farmer hat on backwards giving the air a good fisting \o/
So much better than the shit he plays these days. Great set.

Yep a very lame crowd of high fiven white guys!!
New schoolers 🤷🏻♂
Sign of a good DJ 18:00 drops a good track but the floor does not like it so at 18:48 gets into a more familiar track to get them back
andrew dean pity! humanoid would of been the highlight of the set for me
He played the wrong 48 seconds
nice skills bro
Music of a jilted generation.!
This dude has some magic skills
Now if only we could get his 90's R&B set from the Smirnoff House at Nocturnal Wonderland 2016 :D
drx06 omg yes!!!!!!
tracklist??
He needs to do more acid house this is like his only house mix i bet he would make some sick hard house drops i like laidback luke mostly for his drops he is also a great dj
He is a house (originally a progressive) DJ.
Bang on thats all I can say!!
Laid back Luke belongs in top 10. most of the top 10 are not on Luke's level of live djing. They are up there because of releasing hit songs.
45min... i wanna 2 hour!)
and yes, this is hot)
5.04 Luke overdriving the EQs :O
First time I see him doing that! Anyone got an explanation?
AMAZING
Luke you should give that custom Smirnoff bottle as a friendly gift to some "real" top 10 DJ who has time to drink it up during his set while doing nothing else. It actually might give him courage to touch the buttons .)
Higher State of consciousness
that moment when acid phase comes in double yurt
Killing it 👍✌
Oh these nowadays people- totally don't know how to have fun. Such music and they almost don't move! They should watch some early 90's raves shots so they could learn how to rave! :D
Fresh Mash!
Mm, looking at this guy from a different aspect now, nice set.
Thumbs up by infinity!!
Used to see Luke in Chi town and the D!
It's a sad state of affairs when the DJ is bouncing about more than the crowd. Let's be having some 90's enthusiasm from the crowd please.
didnt u see me dancing like nuts there? open your eyessss
I feel you
I know! If I was there i'd be rocking out!
Callum Loundes so you and tge other 5 people were dancing. Kudos.
They're all too self obsessed like all the millennials....back in the 90's the place would be on wheels to these tunes
Brilliant dj skills!
Which were??
Good times 😃
LAIDBACK LUKE IS THE BEST DJ EVER!!!
how can you not play LFO LFO?? this ain't no retro warehouse rave set, I'm sorry but there are Rave DJs in the uk from that scene who are far better then luke example Carl Cox, Colin D, Ellis D , he even never played Joey B Energy Flash one of the biggest on vinyl

good set but fuck... how he hasnt fucked that mixer is beyond me, constant full red bars..
good mix though,
some decent breakbeat tracks in there.
I wouldn't describe this set as authentic "Acid House" as to me this period represents the mid to late '80's. I'm just saying it's not the classic oldskool set that I hoped it would be.
It doesn't say oldschool
I was thinking the same but it's good to hear modern djs play oldskool tunes
good to see him finally using his talent for something useful and not that big room shit.
pray for that red volume gains
It would be better if Laidback Luke played this music instead of today's edm pop shit...
Don’t go back to the EDM Luke!
Doesn't exist. Just an acronym 🤷🏻♂
Red liners are headliners
don't ever remember blue Monday being dropped in an acid house set back in the day maybe it's just me
Caitlyn Watkinson yep it's just you.
Is there a genre that LBL can't do?
Не ожидал, что такой известный диджей не знает элементарных вещей - как звук настроить.
