this happened to my husband a few years ago...accidentally! thank goodness he caught it before he cast his vote. Turns out the touch screen was so sensitive, when his loose jacket sleeve swiped across the screen it changed his vote. thankfully he was able to get someone in charge. All the people in authority came over. he explained what happened and they were able to reset the machine and he was able to vote again. he carefully redid his vote and the people in charge handled everything very carefully and professionally! this happened in Eastern Pennsylvania. 🇺🇸💙👍🙏

Everyone should be using a real paper ballot for voting, not a computer. Paper ballots are scanned and tallied, then stored in the same box they are scanned with for security. They are physically available for recount if necessary. Can’t do that with a computer.
The computers PRINT the paper ballot, and then the ballot is scanned. That's how it works. The computer is just there so they can go faster and then compare the computer count to the paper count to double check there's no funny business. It's all a lot smoother and more secure than all the propaganda says.

What happens is you put your paper ballot into the machine and make your votes, which will then print on your paper ballot your selections. Then you feed your ballot through the reader and it is recorded. The paper ballot goes into the hopper in case you need to do a recount. Some counties have you use a marker to mark your paper ballot, then feed it into the machine. In this story, it is the first type of machine. I believe this person mismarked her ballot and didn't realize it until she looked at the printout. Remember the "butterfly ballot"? It was confusing to some which candidate you got when you selected a certain button.

I voted in my south Fort Worth precinct . I checked my ballot, the printed ballot, after I voted on the machine, all was good to go. Voting was busy but went smoothly. All people in line were friendly. There is something special about going to the local center to vote.

There was one case in GA that made national news but when it was immediately corrected it was the voters error but taken care of while the voter was still at polls. If it was widespread I would be more alarmed but this has always happened, a handful in the millions of votes cast doesn’t sway the election.

In my Florida county, you directly mark your paper ballot. Why is anyone having to use a computer to vote? There's no perfect system, but anything other than marking a paper ballot that you can see with your own eyes should be standard.

I don't understand how that can work? Paper ballots for early voting Here in Illinois it takes a bit of time to black out boxes. When a machine takes a ballot , if something is wrong it won't take it.
Early voting in Texas is not done by hand. You put your ballot in a machine, make your choices, then it prints out and you take it and put it in another machine.
So there is no way to know for sure if you pressed the right button without confirming via the printed copy. My reasoning is the wrong selection was made on the screen and the voter caught it on the printout and then requested a correction. Pretty straightforward. Case closed.
I voted on the first day of voting in Arkansas. Just as I was making my last few selections, the power in the building went out. Backup power kicked in and I heard one of the poll workers say they had fifteen minutes to get the current people voting finished before they loose all power. At about that same moment I heard the man next to me complain to a nearby poll worker about the presidential candidate he choosing is not being recorded but instead the opposite candidate is begin highlighted, he told her he has tried five times. (I purposely felt out who he was voting for so not to add more fuel to the fire). Other than loosing power my experience was uneventful.
It has been happening here in Davidson County, TN. They say it's because people are using fingers (on the screens) in choosing and another line is picking it up. They have been saying that they were going to send coffee skewers to all the locations....I guess we will see.

Funny how I just saw some guy on TV last night saying that it is impossible for a voting machine to make an error. Which is exactly why when I was still working I always printed off a screen shot of my payroll time entry where it said on the screen it was confirmed, then when I didn’t get paid I could force payroll to manually pay me. They claimed that was impossible too and yet it happened many times over the years to multiple people.

I don't understand how that can work? Paper ballots for early voting Here in Illinois it takes a bit of time to black out boxes. When a machine takes a ballot , if something is wrong it won't take it.
Early voting in Texas is not done by hand. You put your ballot in a machine, make your choices, then it prints out and you take it and put it in another machine.
This is why I prefer paper ballots.
If we ever went back to ONLY paper ballots, hand counting,etc? No Absentee voting,etc. Wed not get results for weeks msybe a couple months.

So there is no way to know for sure if you pressed the right button without confirming via the printed copy. My reasoning is the wrong selection was made on the screen and the voter caught it on the printout and then requested a correction. Pretty straightforward. Case closed.

I voted on the first day of voting in Arkansas. Just as I was making my last few selections, the power in the building went out. Backup power kicked in and I heard one of the poll workers say they had fifteen minutes to get the current people voting finished before they loose all power. At about that same moment I heard the man next to me complain to a nearby poll worker about the presidential candidate he choosing is not being recorded but instead the opposite candidate is begin highlighted, he told her he has tried five times. (I purposely felt out who he was voting for so not to add more fuel to the fire). Other than loosing power my experience was uneventful.

It has been happening here in Davidson County, TN. They say it's because people are using fingers (on the screens) in choosing and another line is picking it up. They have been saying that they were going to send coffee skewers to all the locations....I guess we will see.
Always use paper ballot. People make mistakes, technology doesn't always work.

So far, everyone I've seen claiming the machine changed their vote was holding onto their wallet or paper in their right hand. User error.
Its not just this, though. In 2020, my Uncle who lives in Georgia went with my Aunt to vote, and they were both turned away because they had already "voted by mail." How many of these "accidents" are gonna keep happening?

Are you trying to say sample ballots are issued to people who haven't already proven they are eligible to vote? Are you also trying to say that election workers no long check the signatures? Sounds pretty suspicious, was he a foreigner? Did you call the police? Did you at least follow him to his car and get his license plate number?
@@Spanosmusic Sample ballots can be collected from people's mailboxes, trash bins, and simply printed from the county election offices. Election workers told to not mind signatures or told signatures different due to hand injury.

Funny how I just saw some guy on TV last night saying that it is impossible for a voting machine to make an error. Which is exactly why when I was still working I always printed off a screen shot of my payroll time entry where it said on the screen it was confirmed, then when I didn’t get paid I could force payroll to manually pay me. They claimed that was impossible too and yet it happened many times over the years to multiple people.

Just like when states started issuing drivers liscense to illegals and have automatic voter registration from DL they said illegals couldn't vote. Look at how many states had illegals on the voter roles. I know our state did and likely still does
