I understand your frustration. That also happens here in Detroit, Michigan where the Chinese food is hit or miss. But even then, I have never got stale or half cooked food. In my city in Florida, we have no good Chinese spots. They all bad. When I lived in Louisiana, we had this tiny Chinese spot by our house, tucked in at the end of the grocery store shopping center- the old, "cost + 10%" grocery with the old ass floor and fixtures. That was the best Chinese ever. Got spoiled living there with it 2 minutes away and now there's no good Chinese within 50 miles.

The eggrolls probably were fresh but they get that kind of chewy outside if they put them in the bag too fast while they're still really hot. Traps the steam in there, which gets the moisture all on the crispy outside, making you taste the oil and theyre no l9nger crispy. I hate that. Happens with crab rangoon too. If youre at home, you can fix it by tossing inyo the air fryer for a minute- like 1 actual minute. Same with fries that they put right out the grease into the Styrofoam container and close the lid everywhere. That's why fast food places put their fries in those cardboard sleeves or the paper ones- the tops are open so the steam doesn't get trapped and make your fries soggy.
Also, on the chicken- that wasn't sauce. It was mostly water, from the vegetables. As soon as you showed it, I knew that was fresh because those vegetables are definitely fresh. Peppers still green, not totally mushy and brown, onions not completely soggy and see through. Closing it in that container, it's hot and the water continues to seep from the vegetables. Same thing will happen at home if you make stir fry and put a lid over it. Except in a hot pan it'll continue to cook and the veggies get too soft. At least it was freshly cooked. Would be great leftover.

Dude, ATL native here. Chinese food will eff you up every time. Even the popular places, it all tastes greasy to me no matter what you order. There is not a strip mall with a grocery store in this city that doesn’t have the obligatory “Chinese” place. I put Chinese in quotes because it’s not real Chinese food. I don’t know what the eff these places are. Who the hell is cooking this shit and serving it to human beings? I mean, have some pride. The food is always sketchy in these places. The only thing I always want to order is hot-and-sour soup. You can only get that soup in these horrible restaurants.
