Bruh guys listen to this 💀💀 Eren said the 20% is the same as paradise population 😂😂 paradise has 1 million people living in it😂😂 so before the rumbling the earths population was 5m. Marley had 1 million soldiers 💀 so their soldiers are 1th5 of the worlds population 💀 so how many people lived in Marley? 2mil? Ok 2 mil people live outside of paradise and Marley ( marley 2mil paradise 1 mil ) Marley was very weak they were only strong with titan powers. Can someone tell me how they are weak without titans powers as if their soldiers ain’t half of the world’s population ( excluding Marley and paradise)😂😂😂😂💀💀💀
Go back and read it g it says civilisation not population because life and economy in the walls sucked and now that most the world got flattened so did the world outside the walls
I'm pretty sure he meant that the 20% who survive will dwindle because their civilization is destroyed and 80% of the world has been trampled so they would dwindle and die off until they're at about the same population as Paradis, which is probably less than 1% if we assume the world has about two billion people on it at this point which it did IRL around the same time period.
Ymir orchestrated a global genocide so she could watch mikasa kiss eren's decapitaed head to satisfy her fetish in order to break the curse because she was in love with king fritz the entire time, why mikasa? Only ymir knows. Eren was in control of every single titan in the entire series the entire time and went back in time to kill his own mom just to give himself something to be angry about enough to kill 80% of humanity so he could let his friends stop him so the rest of the world would view them as heroes and forgive paradis, so then eren could reincarnate as a bird and then a tree to watch paradis get nuked by the remaining 20% of the world. This is the ending people are calling peak fiction.
The farmer is the king of paradis, eren could lead dina away from Bertholdt, his enemy, in past but couldn't make his colossal titans leave hange, his friend alone The ending we deserved. Peak comedy
" People are mad because they wanted a happy ending ". How was SNK's ending not happy? With the exception of Hanji, there were no casualties and Paradis was only destroyed centuries after the main characters were already dead. The Eldians have been persecuted for something that happened 2,000 years ago, but Armin is able to convince the world to stop the attack literally a moment after Eren kills 80% of humanity.
Hange killed herself to not have to deal with the after rumbling. Literally. She jumped at the chance to go out super cool. She didn't even consider the chance of her living. She could have jumped into the ocean before going to fight the titans which would give her MUCH more time to survive the intense heat. She literally was cut up to the bell when she saved the alliance with that last titan kill if she soaked herself she would have lived. She has done this before with berts colossal and rod reiss meaning she can think, but here she whips off without the idea of living. She decided to die before she even flew. Her odmg exploding is about the only thing that could possibly explain inevitable death.
Doesn't the anime show that Paradis could've actually survived or become super advanced and futuristic to the point where the boy and his dog could be actually 20,000 years after Eren dies? The final OST is even called "to you 2000 years or 20000 years from now" . Obviously it's not directly confirmed how much time has passed. It could just be a couple hundred years, or it could very well be 20,000 years. It's open to interpretation and anyone can choose what they want to believe. In my opinion though, with an OST having that title and even Yuki Kaji himself saying those very words of the title, I would believe that the boy and his dog at the very end are in Paradis 20,000 years later th-cam.com/video/zCefVNFwzUQ/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Jamong
Umm... a military dictatorship took over Paradise with Historia mimicking Eren's childish idea of what it means to fight, win and live lose and die. I guess to weird alt-right fascists that ending is happy, but to sane people it is not happy at all.
if your thoughts about the people who dislike the ending is that they wished for a "HAPPY ENDING" then you dont understand why they disliked it, THE WAY THE MANGA/ANIME ENDED IS THE HAPPY ENDING
So we went from people who hate the ending wanting 100% genocide to wanting a happy ending despite Isayama himself saying that this WAS his happy ending. Wow. Just wow.
He said he had to _give up_ on his idea for a happy ending because he couldn't bring himself to deviate from the ending he'd had in mind as a kid. Which is the one we got. It does seem like he wanted to go with 100% genocide at some point to "hurt the audience" but thought it "too naive" as that type of "happy ending" wasn't realistic.
@yuukichan12 To be honest, I don't actually care whether it had a happy ending or not. It's the constant flipping of excuses as to why the ending isn't stupid and you are for not understanding something that fundamentally makes no sense.
“Ymir being in love with king Fritz, fine ok Stockholm’s syndrome, but that introduces a plot hole as to why she let herself die in episode from you 2000 years ago. @@tropicalsalad1836they're not even similar. Fritz didn't treat ymir the same way eren treated mikasa😂 and even if she let eren die, she didn't move on. Nonsense
To me, it’s so clear what happened. Yams didn’t want to be that guy that writes a main character that commits genocide and succeeds in creating a peaceful ending. So he backtracked and wrote the ending that he thought fit second-best. Only that this created plot-holes
@@shravan1010I mean Titan power continue to exist regardless so idk how that’s a point. In terms of the manga Levi choosing Armin over Erwin is pointless anyways because Armin doesn’t really achieve anything and Eldia gets wiped out like 2 to 3 generations later anyways. So either Eren never gave a damn about his people and selfishly killed millions of people for coochie that another dude clapped anyways and his friends 2 of which he let die for his plan. He let even more die if you count minor characters
And it would've been perfectly fine if it had a negative ending where Eren kills everyone and has to live alone with the consequences or something, or even one that went the same way it did here ending without peace, but then they tried to cram in a happy-ish ending that felt so out of place. It feels cowardly that they did a plot twist away from Eren's genocide with this stupid 'i wanted you to stop me' plan, just to plot twist right back into 'but the violence will continue anyway' and then do a happy ending regardless, just to go back again in the end credits. Feels like they (and I'm guessing it's the manga's fault, didn't read it) just couldn't make up their minds
It's hilarious to see Critikal say that critics of the ending are the people who "only watch for flashy action scenes and animation, or to see their favorite characters do random stuff" like that's exactly what we got, and those are the people who this ending was made for. Plot is sacrificed for the sake of fanservice. Story is sacrificed to give the fan favorite but extremely uninteresting "good guy" Alliance happy endings. It's funny because I think Isayama realized that most of his fans didn't actually care about the story itself and were more interested in just seeing the good guy characters do cool things or be cute and quirky. So he chose to sacrifice the story, the messaging, and the themes in order to deliver a fanservice ending. I think Eren represents Isayama in the ending, he's completely nihilistic because he is "predestined" to lose. I have no doubt that Isayama probably felt like he was "predestined" by the common audience as well as his editors to deliver a happy, fanservice ending so he decided to give us 139, where nothing makes sense but the Alliance wins and get all they wanted so the fans are mostly happy with it. He's said that he was very in touch with the common fans and their reception, so at some point I think his editors and the fans made him go "You people are so stupid, you only care about your favorite fanservice characters getting a happy ending? Fine, you'll get it but at the expense of everything else. Hope you're happy, I'm going to cash out for now." Even the extra pages are basically just Isayama's way of giving the middle finger to those fans. "Hope you liked your fanservice ending. Anyways, here's the whole island getting bombed to dust and a message about how nothing matters in the end and the whole story was pointless. Enjoy."
I agree that maybe the ending is Nihilistic because Isayama felt that way. But I legitimately don't see any major issues besides some of the character decisions. People don't have to die to write and good story You don't have to understand why people love each other either. Many people in the world look and friends or famous people and wonder why they are even together I think the themes and meanings were strong and it's bitter sweet. I think that, 80% is more than enough and I don't think its a happy ending. A happy ending is everyone gets along, everyone lives happy ever after and all conflict ends. It ends with the main cast STILL fighting for peace.
@@ljeans531 The ending is executed horribly, but even if it wasnt it would still be a bad ending because the themes are arbitrary and inconsistent with the story that it's supposed to conclude. Nothing really makes any sense and I don't see how you could explain it. The ending is a happy ending, at least for the Alliance, which is pure fanservice. This covers up the nihilistic message of the ending, which renders the story completely pointless to begin with. The message of the ending is that it's wrong to fight to preserve anything, even your own life, because it won't last forever anyways so it's pointless. That's the message and theme conveyed by the ending. But it's applied completely arbitrarily and again, it renders the story pointless to begin with. If the conflict between Eldians and non-Eldians is still ongoing after the ending then clearly 80% wasn't enough.
@@xEcuador1 It's a happy ending for the Alliance, you know, the characters? The nihilistic message is separate from the happy atmosphere and result of the main characters who pretty much get exactly what they wanted.
@@harpe9415 alright i got ya, but eren's secondary goal was also to protect paradis and let his close ones live "long lives" which they practically did. Dont get me wrong I hated the ending when i read the manga on release, gave some thought into it and became a mixed bag. After watching it animated, I compared it 1:1 with the book in my hand and realised what adding new scenes/dialogue/pacing improvements did to the overall ending, which was like an ouroboros theme where everything restarts, but seeing how paradis was basically cyberpunk thousands of years in the future (hint from the ost) its 100% likely its not even regarding the rumbling on why they're nuking paradis. Different politicans/characters/motives likely. Which is why I appreciated the theme of humanity always wanting to fight itself just to achieve their selfish goals. Which was iterated by erwin, kenny (slave to smth). I dont rlly get why you despise the alliance so much, im not rooting for them but they were og well-written characters from the ground up and now have sensible motivations in terms of the story, i wanted eren to win and wipe everyone including his friends initially just for the sole reason for him to break free of the loop and do smth, ANYTHING different so he'll stop being a patethic slave. But its kinda pointless in the future since paradis would probably multiply and have another civil war regarding some unrelated matters or different ideologies on 100% ing the world. Eren is saying sorry that Ramzi along with the rest of the world, has to die for his people to be saved from destruction. Eren doesn't only think of violence. Eren was literally the most vocal one about finding another way to save the island that DID NOT include killing anyone.... dummy. Fucking sped-tard. That doesn't make Eren an idiot.
The largest difference between Code Geass' ending and AOT's is that Lelouch is killed by Zero, and Eren is killed by his friends. The same friends who enabled him to start the rumbling in the first place. The same friends who invaded Marley and commited mass casualties to civilians. Armin is especially copable in this, bombing the harbor in Marley. How is he any voice of authority? How could the remaining 20% if the outside world ever trust him or the rest of the Alliance? The ending merely states that the cycle of violence never ends and nothing more. There is no hope. There is only more war. Eren solved nothing and his character was gutted in the process.
Missed the entire point of the ending, and Armin's character represents hope. It's been that way since eren mentioned Armin being the one to save the world.
Armin bombing the harbor, and at the same time him being the savior of humanity shows another theme in the story. Humans have the ability to understand each other. Even though armin has committed those acts, there is still hope.
I mean people outside the walls believed that people in Paradis are all devil. They believe that without ever knowing or trying to talk to them. So i guess 20% remaining people could've trust the Alliance no? Made Armin a Hero is literally the same with the story about Helos, it's a fake hero but still people believed that. When this story was good, the entire community was on the same page and praising it, but once the writing fell off a cliff, now people are arguing over it. The same thing literally happened with Game of Thrones. Trash ending, and everybody argued over it. Nobody argues over a good story, because both the objective viewers and subjective viewers are on the same page. But once the story becomes heavily flawed, the subjective viewers continue to blindly praise, while the objective viewers are smart enough to call out the issues and criticize it. Notice how nobody argues over Breaking Bad ending? Because it was actually good.
The whole idea that there are objective viewers and subjective viewers is wrong to me. Some people may be more critical, but it’s still subjective criticism. People arguing over how good a story is doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad, it may just mean that it did something controversial or doesn’t have mass appeal for another reason. Your comment is basically a long way of saying that you are correct for not liking the ending and people who like it are too dumb to see why it’s bad.
I wouldn’t say people don’t argue over good stories. It depends on what you mean by that. Are we speaking strictly in terms of whether or not it is of quality? Because that I can get behind. But people absolutely can argue over things that are good. For instance, with breaking bad, people are always arguing about what decisions were good or bad that the characters make, which characters are ones to root for and not, yada yada. It’s absolutely possible to still have people arguing about things no matter how they fair quality wise. With that said, I don’t know if Charlie would even think of himself as a subjective viewer. Everything he tackles like this he seems to take with an objective approach. Though he doesn’t seem to apply his standards too consistently

what really pisses me of about charlie’s Take is that in code geas. Lelouch’s most known quote is - “only those who are prepared to be killed are those who should kill” or smthn like that and he works according to this principle to his dying breath despite having his sister nunnaly that he loved so much witnessing his death and not being able to be with her. Eren completely shits on this idea cuz he robbed 80% of the populations people - their entire dreams, livelihoods, loved ones and everything that encapsulated their lives and then still moans like a bitch saying he doesn’t want to die and that he wants to be with mikasa. he doesn’t have the right to live never mind the right to be with anyone and i don’t get how Charlie doesn’t see this contradiction.
@Jason-zu7jt Lelouch didn't want to die either. What is this guy talking about. Also in Lelouch case, He got a majority of the people important to him killed or almost killed. Eren saved almost everyone he cared about from a total genocide. No one was going to genocide the whole of Japan. The themes are similar and Charlie is right when he says the outcome of Eren actions are more realistic. In the end of Code Geass, (which I love the entire show btw) Kallen says all wars stopped and there was peace. I always thought that was idealistic and cheesy. And not at all like human nature.
@@ljeans531 wdym Lelouch didn’t want to die. No one wants to die but he obviously held to a principle that he is taking lives so would happily die for the cause that’s the whole point of Zero and his entire character. Also eren saving his friends doesn’t even matter because the mf said he’d do the rumbling anyway because he wanted to see that sight. so that point is redundant. and no one is arguing that fighting won’t stop and wars will all cease to exist but I think ur forgetting that Marley was literally demonising and indoctrinating their children to hate eldians on paradis. Also how in the hell would Erens action lead to temporary peace anyway when If you forget the start of the story it was the opposite way and eren literally says he’ll kill all the titans and was so filled with rage and then vows to kill all the enemies of the other side. So you think some kid or even adult who loses their entire family, homeland and literally everything that is important to them because eren crushed it all wouldn’t hold that same sentiment - “because he jusf wanted to” and u think they wouldn’t retaliate quicker that was shown in the show that’s ridiculous.
@zeniqz5422 OK once again, Eren would have never done this if the world he saw in Grisha memories was welcoming. Sure it had similar issues and conflict. When he said "I did it cause I wanted to, idk why." He means he wanted to wipe away everything and start fresh, because that dream gave him hope. Killing people is the side effect of his goals, his goal is not to kill people. It's to wipe the world clean. And if his friends weren't in danger I don't think he would, he would die soon anyway. His friends are in danger BECAUSE the world is against them, and Eren wants to wipe it away BECAUSE the world isn't a welcoming place. It's not one thing or another. Eren doesn't know what he wants because of the simultaneous future past and present. But he knew enough to tell all his friends what to do.
Yeah Charlie is officially fraud. idk how anybody can take this guy's opinion on any type of media knowing he thinks eren has a better conclusion than lelouch

I thought this was worse than GoT tbh. The most important emotional moments, thematic moments, and character arc resolutions were *all* done via stupid plot twists or convoluted scenes that made the writer seem like even more of an idiot than Eren. The whole story was about vengeance and hatred causing more endless violence but they just sidestepped all that for like 20 minutes to force in a happy tone, and then backtrack in an end credit montage? Wild decision making there
If you think this ending is worse than GOT, then you don't understand writing. How many characters did Attack on Titan's ending assassinate? 2? 3? At worst, I can see the argument for 4 characters being assassinated, but that's a stretch. In GOT, pretty much every primary or secondary character is destroyed. Tyrion, Varys, Daenerys, Jon, Arya, the Hound, Sansa, Samwell, Cersei... The only even remotely important characters to escape intact are Theon and maybe Jorah. But aside from that, it was a character slaughterhouse. You might be able to argue that AoT's ending was as bad on a plot or thematic level (although you'd be completely wrong), but nothing it has can possibly compete with how GOT completely gutted almost its entire cast.

@@megashark1013 problem for me is that with GoT it was at least obvious that the writers just didn’t care anymore, but AoT had to force in half a dozen plot twists and exposition dumps to try and justify these decisions, then betrayed its own theme by letting Eren succeed at giving them a happy ending and pushing the consequences onto a far future generation that the audience isn’t connected to. Not to mention all the convoluted time travel and forced love story nonsense that was added here. With GoT I could see it being fine had it not been rushed, and if the arcs had time to play out the way they did in a satisfying way. Here it seems like the writer thought it was amazing and did a major cop out by having Eren realize he was an idiot, still succeed in his plan at least for now, and let everyone be happy until the violence continues a few hundred years in the future.
@@megashark1013 GoT ending was crap because the writers don't have a source material to adapt so they come up with their own. AoT is worse because Isayama is incompetent.

The ending was easy to comprehend, it was poorly executed. It all goes back well before 139. Eren isn’t involved for majority of the final arc. However, we learned TIME and TIME again he does the rumbling because his friends AND not to leave Paradise’s future to chance; implying that if he doesn’t rumble, the island isn’t guaranteed safety! The ending suggests he didn’t give a shit about Paradise and did it because of a book (which is made more stupid by Armin saying “I helped cause this too because I showed you a picture book). Second point, there are zero casualties from the alliance during one of the most ridiculous battles. Even if they are skilled, the constant asspull to just be saved makes for a complete lack of tension. Remember how fighting common or abnormal titans was VERY difficult for anyone who wasn’t Mikasa or Levi? But now they are geared up against thousands of shifters!! They could barely beat Annie in S1! Third point, why does the rumbling stop when Zeke is dead? It only started AFTER Ymir chose Eren and set her free. It also makes no sense that her love for her abuser was what kept her away for 2000 years. You’re telling me it wasn’t the love for your children?! Why does Mikasa killing Eren make Ymir stop the curse?! Necrokiss is gross as hell too btw. Anyway I’m rambling on about this shit. But I knew there was no AOE coming, anime might have been flashy in some instances (still no WiT) but the added dialogue did not make things better. In fact, it makes Eren look worse!
Yea the zero casualties makes no sense but on fighting titans they have better gear so it makes sense they would be a bit better at taking out titans. Also remember they literally wiped out all the titans on the island. About zekes death I believe his Royal blood was a condition as well as having ymir so even though he had Ymir’s help when zeke died the conditions weren’t met anymore due to lack of Royal blood. Ymir loving her captor is just some deus ex machina so I agree with you there. I liked the ending somewhat but I don’t fully disagree with your take I just wanted to add to the discussion of possible plotholes. ❤
@@lotus4147That’s fair! I just think given the circumstances of the final fight, it seems so outrageous to think they all make it out. I think it adds weight to the situation. Yeah, I guess given how the rumbling started was a result of them touching along with Ymir’s influence. The points I find offensive are Eren’s motivation and Ymir. I have no problem with Eren and Mikasa having a romance; however, Eren never demonstrated any romantic interest towards Mikasa for years on end. I do also agree with Saint’s take on how Eren’s so called Lelouch plan is stupidly executed. Why would any surviving person out in the world choose to believe that Eldians were the ones who killed them?! It just continues that fear. I personally found Eren 100 percent rumbling would have been the better avenue because you could still show the message of violence never ceasing on Paradise. I also think Eren having to live with his choice would be powerful. Perhaps I always wanted AnR; and I know how ppl feel about that. But I think that ending was poignant than what we got.
@@LordVerdo I think Eren withheld showing his feelings because they way it was setup for Mikasa to kill him he didn’t want to tell Mikasa how much he really loved her. When he told Armin about everything in the paths he chose to not let him keep his memories of the path until after he died probably indicating he didn’t want Armin to tell Mikasa about his feelings. Yea maybe the 100% rumbling could’ve been executed but personally it didn’t ruin my enjoyment of the ending I feel some people make it out to be what ruined the ending for them. One thing I really dislike though is the mysterious Mikasa ending. Isayama went though all that at the end with eren snd mikasa just to hint at her having a relationship with someone else?? Idk Mikasa being in a married relationship is problematic for many other reasons to me but yea. Maybe they should have killed one more person off considering they had a whole large scale fight almost akin to a war and still had no casualties. I think Isayama wanted to highlight erens death in those final scenes but it’s a bit unrealistic. Honestly the entire final fight is ridiculous.
@@lotus4147 If the royal blood was a needed connection for Eren to use the founding titan stuff and start the rumbling, how come after Zeke is killed Eren still transforms into a Collosal titan Eren, despite not having access? Also couldn't Ymir just keep them moving on her own like how she manipulated the past titan shifters and because she basically controls everything? I always saw it as the royal blood just needing to be there for them to access paths to converse with Ymir to have her do stuff for them.
@@spartanoreo5075 The rumbling requires Royal blood I’m pretty sure the titan stuff is due to having access/control of the paths. Hello charlie fanboy from twitter or search bar. I also really love watching charlies streams and videos. But also like saint as well. I agree with saint here. I almost felt insulted how many ironic statements moist made in his video that directly applied to anime onlies Like saying "anyone who hates it was only watching for animation, colors, and random moments" MOIST WE READ THE MANGA IN BLACK IN WHITE. the panels are literally equivalent to watching a slideshow that goes 1 fps Saint doesnt care whether someone likes the ending or not. Its when "good, well written, masterpiece" are used where he is of use. Trying to destroy saints character instead of actually listening to his explanation, or even refute it is WEAK Sure his hating of the manga for 2 years up to now may be seen as pathetic but to him it was 10 years of his life wasted actively following this story for it to be butchered. But just cause saint is "pathetic" doesn't fix the ending. Keep coping. Also the voice acting music and animation is why so many of you were swayed so easily
manga reader here, i think moist just say sht like that cuz his audience are so barebone and casual, but aside from the incredible artistic choices, i DO think the anime did some panels of the manga justice like added dialogue/scenes/pacing. I started to appreciate the manga's theme about ouroboros and restarting regardless of what changes as its in humanity's nature to fight itself for their selfish goals like what erwin said. I still hoped eren would go berserk/at least changed SMTH towards the end to actually prove what he meant by trying different things to achieve nothing at all, ending would play out the same but he still gets killed etc. What are your thoughts on the anime?
@@xEcuador1I thought the anime did Eren worse than ever before. I feel insulted on a personal level when I saw Eren say that. Not cause it's cringe but cause it's out of character and directly attacks old themes. Like I said before. I watched the cour 4 times now. And I'm certain the animation, music, and voice acting is what allowed so many of you to accept this ending. Especially the Mikasa bird scene. The music was beautiful I knew many of you guys would overlook all the issues due to this alone. I think mappa adapted it 7/10 on the average but had some incredible 10/10 moments if we are acting like the ending is good. But it's not. Mappa isn't to blame. Isayama is. Isayama deserves the criticism. I hated isayama after the manga ended but I believed he would fix the plotholes in the anime if he chose to adapt 139 but he didn't even do that. Made Eren worse. Made Armin better but weirder. Reconned the end. By leaks given from official leakers the ending was changed to cyberpunk after the leakers received their leaks. (Why the animation on it looks so weird) the 2004 missle things that destroyed cyberpunk paradise would literally be hundreds of years outdated when compared to cyberpunk. And it doesn't even match the background. From.the leaks shown it actually matched the mangas path and showed paradise getting carpet bombed roughly (100 years-200 years) after erens death. But it doesn't fix the issues due to time increase.
I kinda wish he just said critic and not hater. People now don't give af when he's right. He gets called a hater so often I guess it never crossed his mind
6:24 "You can boil it down to war never changes, humans are just predisposed to it. No matter how large the conflict is, no matter how great the resolution is, or how long the period of peace is, it's only a matter of time until the cycle starts over again." I don't disagree with this...but this in no way conflicts with the ending people wanted. In fact, if conflict started up again but under Eldians that would make this thematic point stronger, as it shows how quickly people can forget what unified them together in the past and just start killing each other all over again. We literally saw this all throughout the series inside the walls with everyone being obsessed with status and titles that were meaningless!
Even in a Eldian civil war I'd imagine Eren would be ok with that because it's people being free to fight for whatever, instead of being persecuted for simply existing/being born which is what he opposed on a philosophical and emotional level, pre-139 Eren I should say. Also idk what entirely the point was of the children out of the forest scene with Gabi becoming peaceful when "war always happen" contradicts that? seemed like a waste of time.
@@islandboy9381 "it's people being free to fight for whatever" No it isn't. 80% of humanity dying is pretty sad in my opinion. the ending is bitter sweet cuz the characters had hope after tragedy. that’s not a happy ending, which would be having hope w/ a good situation.
Most of those critical of the ending don't realize that what they wanted was _the_ defacto "happy ending" for Eren and Paradis. Like Armin said, "What, you can't have war if there are no people? It's like a bad joke. Who would take it seriously?" Apparently, a lot of people.
What point are you trying to make to bring up the ocean scene? That scene is even more evident of how Eren’s character never changed. He is still the same kid wanting to kill all the titans, except the only thing that’s changed is who he views as his enemies. He hadn’t changed at all. If you’re talking about him being unphased by the ocean, it was because the ocean was representative of freedom for him, and upon learning about the outside world and Marley, his idea of freedom is crumbled and the ocean no longer signifies that for him, but instead how he is still not free. And due to erens nature, he just keeps fighting. Seriously though, if you could elaborate on what you mean i would appreciate it.

Hange killed herself to not have to deal with the after rumbling. Literally. She jumped at the chance to go out super cool. She didn't even consider the chance of her living. She could have jumped into the ocean before going to fight the titans which would give her MUCH more time to survive the intense heat. In my opinion though, with an OST having that title and even Yuki Kaji himself saying those very words of the title, I would believe that the boy and his dog at the very end are in Paradis 20,000 years later

To me, it’s so clear what happened. Yams didn’t want to be that guy that writes a main character that commits genocide and succeeds in creating a peaceful ending. So he backtracked and wrote the ending that he thought fit second-best. Only that this created plot-holes
But Titan powers would still be there and all of erens friends would die
Also levi choosing Armin would be pointless
So maybe think a little bit before saying dumb things🙂
Hope you're happy, I'm going to cash out for now."
Even the extra pages are basically just Isayama's way of giving the middle finger to those fans.
People don't have to die to write and good story
You don't have to understand why people love each other either.

The largest difference between Code Geass' ending and AOT's is that Lelouch is killed by Zero, and Eren is killed by his friends. Armin bombing the harbor, and at the same time him being the savior of humanity shows another theme in the story. Humans have the ability to understand each other. Even though armin has committed those acts, there is still hope.

Exactly 💯
It's pretty much clear that casuals/normies will consume that dogshit ending regardless, they say we are schizophrenic and tell us that we didn't understand the story when they don't even know why they say that!

In world of aot, Floch is the most consistent and logical character. But this is not the world that Yams wanted to be famous for. So he destroyed it.

Gabi is retarded, child slave soldier, who has been on the frontlines of the war sitting in attendance of a declaration of genocide speech. Then she's crying angrily disillusioned why Marley is being attack as it was previous broken down for everyone to understand by Willy Tybur. Falco then reiterates this and she replies "did you see it happen", "neither did i".

what really pisses me of about charlie’s Take is that in code geas.
Because Eren isn’t lelocuh dude 💀 different people and different circumstances, I didn’t like the ending but even I can see that.
@@Jason-zu7jtThen why did Charlie make the comparison to begin with
@Jason-zu7jt Lelouch didn't want to die either.

2021 all over again but this time the majority is more than before.
@@megashark1013lol i feel like i saw u before riding mappa hard.. Anyways about Got and aot, aot is worse cause it happened in Both mediums while the formers source material is still on going.
GOT still has an above 8 score on IMDB, so it really doesn't matter how much the final stretch is absolute shit and destroys all the prior build up, so long as the mainstream already was on board with the series when it was at it's most peak and popularity then casuals will cope and eat it up even when it turns shit anyway.
Yes, you are right their gear is superior to the early days, everyone is more skilled and they have 3 shifters on their side. But it was hundreds of shifters they fought!
@@lotus4147 If the royal blood was a needed connection for Eren to use the founding titan stuff and start the rumbling, how come after Zeke is killed Eren still transforms into a Collosal titan Eren, despite not having access? manga reader here, i think moist just say sht like that cuz his audience are so barebone and casual, but aside from the incredible artistic choices, i DO think the anime did some panels of the manga justice like added dialogue/scenes/pacing.
Hm.

"You can boil it down to war never changes, humans are just predisposed to it. No matter how large the conflict is, no matter how great the resolution is, or how long the period of peace is, it's only a matter of time until the cycle starts over again."
I don't disagree with this...but this in no way conflicts with the ending people wanted.
It just takes the Yeagerists saying you're no true Eldian if you don't follow their ideology and treat you then like second class humans and bring you into reeducation camps. I guess that means he'll win in the end. For 10 years at least
Also he was praising erens character development last season but now he never changed 😂 so either it’s a retcon or he’s a bad character which is it Charlie
Who would take it seriously?"
Apparently, a lot of people.
“Never changed” like my guy did you not see the ocean scene? It’s like anything pre season 4 doesn’t exist to them
What point are you trying to make to bring up the ocean scene? That scene is even more evident of how Eren’s character never changed. He is still the same kid wanting to kill all the titans, except the only thing that’s changed is who he views as his enemies. He hadn’t changed at all. If you’re talking about him being unphased by the ocean, it was because the ocean was representative of freedom for him, and upon learning about the outside world and Marley, his idea of freedom is crumbled and the ocean no longer signifies that for him, but instead how he is still not free. And due to erens nature, he just keeps fighting. Seriously though, if you could elaborate on what you mean i would appreciate it.
Saint is cooking 😂
Damn it Charlie. YOU HAD ONE JOB!
How could anyone think this garbage ending is good! If you go look at the comments on his video they are all like OMG THE ENDING WAS SO GOOD. Absolutely ridiculous I’m tired of hearing oh the manga readers just don’t understand it.

AoT was always mid, we just couldn't see it
It fell off as soon as Annie ate that pie as a humour
I don't like the word mid but aot really always was avarage it was like a 6/10 at best like it blew my mind when People were shocked or excited about anny being a titan because it was super obvious and poorly executed and then she turn into ice after losing like she legit existed only to give a cool fight and add a little bit of mystery that later turned out to be a huge letdown
@@coltwgriceyou are simply unintelligent

Cap. From Season 2 to end of Season 3, this show was peak.
Lol so eren nature slave to freedom is compared to ymir love for fritz? A literal mental illness? What on earth do ending defenders smoke?
Now, me personally, I think the anime ending is better than the manga simply because they rearranged, cleaned up, and re wrote the conversation between eren and armin. That basically saved the ending for me. I didn’t need an AOE, I just needed mappa to fix what isayama got lost in translation and execution
