This is my favorite Lobos Run. Not only because it seems to be an amazing mod, but most importantly because he actually kills enemies. Normally I just skip to bosses because other than that there is just running past enemies in the videos but this time it is actually fun to watch the whole thing.

Did we watch the same sequence of videos on the Scorched Contract? The mighty Lobos was toppled by the triple sanctuary guardian, but then again, that was total BS. So we can just not count it.
Some spawns can seriously ambush the f out of you when you least expect it, I once had a super intense Duke's Archive's run from the prison to the balcony where I was invaded, finally made it but one spawned on top of the bookcase and nuked me instantly
My literal SECOND DAY A dark red little bastard started nuking me with homing soulmass and my partner got wrecked of course I was terrified after watching my partner go straight from 100 to 0. We went up cause I still had one more summon (taurus boss fight arena) We both didn't even get close

The armor and weapon effects in this mod are awesome. The balancing and pure artificial difficulty drags it WAY down, though, imo ]: Side tangent; someone in chat pointed out the enemy spam to be met with 3 or so responses of "git gud scrub". I'd like to see how they'd react if they were thrust into a tiny pit full of 4+ dogs, 4+ hollowed knights, some balder knights, and an unparryable + unbackstable black knight (who does bleed damage ON TOP OF staggering you ten feet backwards with most hits) ;P

I just started this mod, a couple of hours in and the whole time I was thinking to myself, "man, these weapon and armor bonuses are really cool, but did the mod author really have to go out of his way to laden every corridor with an overabundance of ramped up enemies?" Seriously, the novelty of "new stuff!" gets old super fast when every section of a zone is teeming with unnecessary bullshit. And to add insult to injury, the practical method for handling a large quantity of regular enemies is totally thrown off course. Black knights? Don't bother trying to parry them. Same with the Berenike knights; they'll still hit for a lot if you do. All in all, this mod is a solid example of a good idea with bad execution. At least going balls to the wall on vit tends to pay off in some of the middle segments.
Yeah the concept is cool but the overpowered enemy spam seems to be more cancerous than dark souls 2's enemy placement sometimes. But at least in that game you could permanently kill enemies. This is a cool mod, but not as great as people say it is.

This mod is genuinely not fun at all, it just spams enemies everywhere which do a lot of damage even when I wore my best armor. The new effects are for the weapons and armor are really cool and i wish i could play it with just those and not the new enemy placements.
It's like Dark Souls 2, except not the real Dark Souls 2 but the exaggerated image people have of Dark Souls 2 when they say it has spammy enemy placement (which it does, but this is WORSE)
You should try playing this mod again. It looks like you may have been using the easy version, which is no longer available. The newer version, at least for remaster, is so much more insane.
Someone asked for tips on Pontiff Sully? I recommend parrying like Lobos said, and also gesturing, e.g the Toast or Path of the Dragon gestures. If you time it right, his attacks will miss.
On his HL2 playthrough, he said he probably wouldn't because the game was the same as it always was, except with longs bits where you just read, and it didn't suit him.
@@TheMrTangamandapio Oh, what a shame. I was laughing so hard at it, I wanted to know what Oceiros dialog is. Maybe we'll never know (yes I could play it my self or look for another "strimmer" but without Lobos and his chat it won't be the same)
My only problem with this mod was that you cannot even riposte them, I think he took that away for the Silver Knights as well. Short of being tanky like Lobos has done for this playthrough, there isn't really a solution for it.
It's mostly enemy spam but with some really cool ideas mixed into the fray. I'd recommend checking out Lobos' "St. Jude Souls" mod playthrough if you haven't already, I was blown away by the stuff done there! (Not dissing anyone who likes Ascension mod, though)
To help you realize how ridiculous this mod is. He had to run inside the boss arena because dealing with the Asylum Demon was easier than dealing with 2 vagrant magic crabs. Lol. I gotta try it!

I love the soulsborne series but one of the worst aspects has always been fighting what are essentially zombies. I hate that enemy archetype, it's lazy to create and boring to fight. Why don't we have more mushroom people, or frogs?
I've seen a few. I remember one just before Four Kings room and another one in Duke's Archives. I think they can appear in any area. I don't remember the conditions for them to appear, but it has something to do with people who died and failed to click on their bloodstain. I guess Vagrants might respawn from those bloodstains or something.

I've only ever seen one, in the Catacombs near the coffin. I drop weapons all the time now to try and spread them
I've seen 2, one before kapra demon, one on the bridge next to the talking cat, and I think I saw another one but I can't remember where.
I think they're interesting/special because they are *not* normal enemies, tbh. They are memorable because they are unique and rare!
