I was at this gig and Freddie White never lets you down. He's done justice to many great songwriters over the years like Guy Clark Tom Waits Randy Newman Joan Armatrading Warren Zevon to name a few with great interpretations.
People write great tunes .... but they cant sing and play like Freddie .. he makes not only his own tunes .. but others come to life ... a true artist and a virtuoso.

Great, thanks! I had forgotten about Freddie White. i saw him in Cork twice in the late 70’s ... once was by accident when a supporing act couldn’t make it, and he stepped in last minute. He would come on with a towel around his neck to cope with the perspiration that his enthusiastic performance produced. I particularly loved ‘Desperados waiting for a train.’
Used to go to Toner's on Baggot St to see Scullion (Sonny Condell's old band) in the 70's. It was specifically to hear Freddie play lead..he was always outstanding..
When someone does a Zappa cover it makes me feel that the world ain't all that bad.
