Hi Anna, thanks for this great daily podcast! I've never heard "scalding" used in the context you mention, I'd normally say a scathing review or report. Am I wrong?
@@laurapavone3513 Yes Laura, the High Court of Justice in London has so far only postponed extradition. They have said that the US must give assurances that he will not be sentenced to death. This shows that they still intend to extradite him, even though he faces up to 175 years in prison simply for doing his job as a journalist and exposing US misdeeds, abuses and war crimes. It's a scandal, a disgrace, and he must be released immediately. Let's hope, however, that Great Britain will change its mind and make the right decision...Popular support and demonstrations continue. As a last resort, there's still an appeal to the European High Court of Justice, which will hopefully help this time! Thanks for your support! Have a nice day. Bisous :-)
Hello Anna, please correct me if I'm wrong or have misunderstood, but isn't "scolding" in the sense of "disapproving" spelled with an "o"? Thank you. Let me also tell you that I really enjoy listening to your "5 a day" series and your podcasts. Thumbs up to you and your wonderful channel. On top of that, you have a voice that's very pleasant on the ears. 🙂🎶🎵🌸
