Hi, thanks for your comment! I'm in a milder climate zone where winter planting is possible. Texas, Florida and Georgia are good for winter planting. But many of these tips can help you get ready for spring too! 😊
Hey Michelle! 😂 Sorry for the onion shout-out! Just super passionate about veggies! Thanks for watching anyway! Wish you enjoyed the video. Happy gardening! 😊🙏
Hi Maggie! Thanks for watching! Yes, I totally understand that Zone 5 can be a bit tricky for planting in January. The great thing is, even if you can't plant outdoors just yet, you can start some seeds indoors or prep your garden for when it's warmer. Every zone has its unique challenges, but with a little planning, you can still enjoy a great spring harvest. 😊
Cold frames and hoop houses work wonders at zone five! And these veggies don’t need a ton of space. Carrots, Tokyo onions, the greens mentioned… you can overwinter garlic and it’s ready by June/July. All really nice things to have on hand! 🥕 🥬 🧄 🧅
Thank you so much for sharing these great ideas, Jamie! Cold frames and hoop houses are fantastic to extend the growing season, and those veggies sound amazing. I love the suggestion of overwintering garlic. 😊🙏
